A Kiss In The Rain
The rain was pouring when he saw her standing in the middle of the busy street, looking kinda lost.
People were passing by her, but she just stood there.
He walked towards her, took off his jacket and wrapped it around her shivering body.
"Miss are you lost? Do you need help?" he asked her.
She looked at him, and for the first time he saw her face.
She looked so beautiful, yet looked so fragile.
She moved towards him, cutting the distance between them.
Then suddenly, she kissed him on his lips.
He felt her hands run through his hair. She held him at the nape of his head, pulling him closer, deepening their kiss.
He doesn’t know why, but he kissed her back, wanting more.
But then suddenly she pulled out of the kiss, looked at him and gave him her sweetest smile.
And at that very moment, he fell in love.
He doesn’t know what to say, and before he could utter a word, she ran away.
"Wait!" he shouted while looking at the direction she was heading. But he didn't saw her.
He started to walk and he pushed himself through the crowd, but still he couldn't see her.

ito talaga ung una kong nakita na story sa wattpad, ito rin ang bininyagan ko dun. HAHA ongoing pa lang 'to nung binasa ko, siguro nasa 18 chapters ata. fan din kasi ako dati ng Kathniel kaya binasa ko ito agad. super tutok talaga ako dito, bawat update mo po binabasa ko na agad ayaw ko kasi malate. di lang ako nakakapagcomment kasi phone gamit ko. haha akala ko pa nga si ms. author masungit, kasi dun sa mga A/N nya medyo parang nagsussungit siya pero nung nakilala ko na siya and nakakausap ko na super bait nya pala (walang halong biro! mabait talaga siya, promise!) napangiti, napakilig, at lalong napaiyak ako ng istoryan ito. di ko inakalang ganun ang ending. ang gaganda ng twists na naganap. 2 thumbs up para kay ate jen!!

nung ko itong nabasa na curious ako... medyo doubt kasi nakita ko sa Cover photo na fan fic siya ng Kathniel. But I was wrong kasi naindihan ko yung story at nagandahan ako... Ito ataha yung pngalawa ko nabasa online na halos parang mabigat that time I was holding back my tears kasi baka may makakita eh... hahaha... Although minahal ng counter part ni Jared si Jade that time pero nandun parin yung love ni Jade kay Jared even Jared died may gasshhhh talagang ung time na yung di ko napigilan eh masakit dibdib... One of the greatest stories I ever read...

if i can give this a rate from 1-10(10 is the highest) i will just give this 4! i really really really dont like this, i found this soooooo boring and predictable. no thrill at all, im not trying to be rude or something, but i just wanna tell you guys my opinion about this book, halos 1month ko syang binasa, kasi nga di ko matuloy tuloy, pag binabasa ko nakakaantok lang... i dont know.. maybe pihikan lang talaga ako sa mga stories na binabasa ko.

Isa sa mga tipikal na love story na nabasa ko pero iba padin yung impact. Nakakakilig padin. Nakakadala padin.
Nagsimula ang lahat isang gabi habang naglalakad si Jared ng biglang may nakita siyang babae na parang nawawala. Tinanong niya kung nawawala ba ito ngunit hindi sumagot ang babae at bigla nalang siyang hinalikan nito. At si Jade ang babaeng iyon.
May konting typographical errors at may mga phrase na umulit pero yung content, maayos naman at pati yung libro hindi naman madaling masira.
Pagdating sa kwento, siyempre hindi mawawala ang katatawanan, kalokohan, bakbakan, pagmamahalan at ang iyakan. Lahat ng 'yan nasa librong ito na. Siguro hondi lang talaga ako sobrang naantig kasi marami narin akong nabasang ganitong klase ng storya pero binigyan ko padin to ng 4 stars kasi maganda pati ang katapusan. Muntik pa nga akong kabahan pero maganda padin.
Nirerekomenda ko to sa mga gusto kiligin.

I've never read the story online. But I bought the book. Honestly, I liked the synopsis- a stranger kissed "Jared" under the rain, then just disappeared. But I only reached up to a few chapters and I could not turn the page anymore because I'm not into it. It's not working at all. The writing style is better than most Wattpad stories published online, but the narration probably did not have an effect on me. I wanted to read it because I wanted to know the story after all, but the story itself does not give motivation for me to continue. Whenever I read a book, whether I like it or not, I get through it. This is the first one I did not. I'm not saying it's not good because I haven't finished it yet, but it did not give me the power or the "push" to be interested into it.

The story is still amazing. I love Jade and Jared. But to be honest, nagkulangan ako. Maybe because may pagka-cliche ang story. Though nabasa ko na ito before and I noticed the changes. Kung before talagang nagustuhan ko ito kasi isa ito sa mga pinaka-unang nabasa ko sa Wattpad. Pero ngayon na mas marami na akong nababasa, doon ko lang napansin na common lang pala ang story.
Pero kahit na ganon, natutuwa pa rin ako kasi nasulit ang bili ko sa libro. And I could say na deserving nga itong ma-publish.
If ever na nababasa to ni Ms. J.C. sana ay dagdagan niya pa ng puso, ng emotion when she writes. Para mas tatagos sa puso. :)
Pero kahit na ganon, natutuwa pa rin ako kasi nasulit ang bili ko sa libro. And I could say na deserving nga itong ma-publish.

I don't know about you but I just can't appreciate a story that has too many grammar errors. Now, I am not a grammar nazi but at least I know that this sentence: "He didn't saw her" is really wrong.
The grammar mistakes distracted me as I read the story.
However, I tried to focus and...it's an 'okay' story.
Nothing really special but it'll relax you (aside from the grammar errors).
I doubt I will read this book again...unless I am bored.

I really like the book version even though there are some changes from the wattpad version. The synopsis, rather the plot of the story is quite rampant. But when you read the story, INDEED IT IS AMAZING! Very unique and stylish. The flow of the story is smooth and the usage of words is sort of deep; But I like the seriousness of the words!. One of the best books I have read! The flow of the chapters of the story is notable! Especially the Epilogue! The epilogue contains all the emotions and crying moments! I always wanna cry when I'm reading the epilogue! Tears of Joy! Even though I've repeated reading it for around 10x (seriously). Still, I wanna read it all over and over again! Ate Jen! More power to you! Your one of the most stunning wattpad authors! Feels like I wanna borrow your talent! Your book deserves to be published internationally! English Version! ahaha! That's all! I hope the one whose reading this will buy the book no matter what the circumstances are! More power to you Ate Jen! I'm always here to support you~! LOVE YOUR WORKS! Definitely, I'm gonna buy all of your published books!

Different from all the books I've been read. Light lang at alam mong realistic 'yung whole story. Hindi siya parang teleserye na napakaraming conflicts.
'Yung fact na "OMG, sana mangyari din 'to sakin.", "Sana may Jared din ako sa buhay ko.". Ganyan 'yung naramdaman ko.
Ang lakas ng impact na story na 'to sa'kin. Okay dito lang ako sa goodreads magcoconfess, ayaw ko talagang basahin ang AKITR nung nasa wattpad pa dahil sa book cover. (Sorry ate jen, I'm not a fan of kathniel) But the story proved me not to judge the book by its cover, hindi naman dahil sa ayaw ko sa cover nung book sa wattpad hindi na maganda yung laman di ba? So ayun binasa ko ang AKITR ng isang gabi. Naisip ko kasi magaling na author si ate Jen at napatunayan niya 'yun sa LUTSR at sa MGTCS.
Sa plot, the best! Hindi siya cliche, hindi rin basag ang mga linya 'yun lang maiinlove kayo sa story na 'to. Kung mali ako, please ibash niyo lang ako dito sa good reads.

One of my favorite books to read halos hindi ko na siya mabitawan talaga.. Pinakilig at pinaiyak ako sa storyang ito.. Until now hindi pa rin ako maka-get over talaga lalong lalo na sa part na namatay si Jared pinipigilan ko talaga hindi umiyak pero ang hirap pala magpigil.. Eventhough minahal din ni Jade si Jared hanggang sa mamatay siya mahal na mahal pa rin,, kilig much talaga ako ;))

i love this book nabasa ko na to dati sa wattpad pero ang tagal na nun. sa publish book niya natuwa ako kasi parang ganun padin tulad nang dati madami pading emosyon yung lumabas sakin, pero yung ending unexpected yun. akala ko nag stick lang siya dun sa wattpad dati pero hindi. may na dagdag na nakapag bigay nang twist sa story. ayoko maging spoiler

1. Please proofread, PSICOM! Okay lang kahit tabingi 'yung print eh. Kahit 'yung magandang edit man lang sana 'nung storya, ibigay niyo na rin sa mambabasa.
2. Ang taray 'nung kambal part. I didn't see it coming.
3. Sana tinapos na lang nila agad pagkatapos ng death ni Jared. Nakasira sa mood ng conclusion 'yung epilogue.

Let's just say that the prologue and the first paragraph of chapter 1 had me completely turned off; and I vowed not to read any Filipino book that may be in line with this one.

Jared and Jade's love wasn't that spectacular while they are together. But I felt the love and need when they no longer have each other, only by heart. This book has that impact and magic. To let the readers feel in love while they read about the characters being together, but being more inspired when they suddenly were torn apart.
Nakakainspire yung story kasi nagbibigay ito ng pag-asa na hindi katapusan yung kundi nagpatunay lang yung librong ito na "Every ending is a new beginning".
The first part was kind of tedious and a bit of boring it actually took me four, FOUR days to read the whole story. But I persevered, and a force told me that I should keep going and read and now, I know why. Because, in the end the story touched my whole being.
Overall, I loved A Kiss in The Rain. It was a fun and inspirational book.

I had finished it for about four days because I was just reading whenever I was on the way to work (it was my only free time to read books that's why hihi xD). At first I was bored on the first chapters but later on I started to liked it and I did not expect the twins thingy and liked Jared's point of view I thought its Jasmine the he had kiss. It did not crossed my mind that it could be Jade. I'm caught to the twists of the story and I thought that it would be a happy ending between the two of them. I thought Jasmine was not nice hehe sorry Jade but most of her friends were very bad influence yeah most rich teenagers nowadays were like that.Well, back to the story I really did not expect the ending to be that tragic and I almost cry to it. The feels :'(

I muttered to myself as I read the last part of the book. What my mind wants to think is that 'Girl, at least she finally had her happy ending. Maybe not here on Earth, but there, in the other life!' but this story is just super heartbreaking.
Oh well I did not give a 5 because of some reasons.
1. The story is boring at first.
2. This is very confusing! (to those who read this you know what to think about)
But all in all. I want this story because I felt the emotions the main character felt when her lover died.

Pinaiyak ako ng kwentong 'to. Inaamin kong na bored ako sa umpisa pero habang tumatagal paganda siya ng paganda. Simple lang yung twist, very common na yung takbo ng istorya pero iba pa rin humawak ng kwento yung Author. Napanindigan niya yung kwento, lalo na dun sa mga simpleng detalye. Thumbs up.
