This durable title offers up fun, foundational introductions to a plant's life cycle that are sure to fascinate every early learner. Simple, rhythmical text introduces each part of the plant, highlighting the the plant's needs for enabling growth. Detailed illustrations, meanwhile, provide colorful views of natural environments.
Forgettable. I do like realistic drawings for under 3s but other than that this fell flat. There was something uncanny in the birds eye that felt almost foreboding? Sort of plastic perhaps? There are plenty of books in this category. Choose something linguistically and visually richer!
In simple text readers watch the process of a seed becoming a flower and learn what is required at each step.
I love how simply this process is broken down and how each spread really supports the text visually and includes enough side-interest items (i.e. animals, objects in the dirt etc) to keep readers returning to this fabulous title, but also don't distract from the story too much.
Illustrations are photo-realistic and celebrate the wonder of nature. Recommended for toddlers and preK.
This board book is an easy concept book about how seed grow. How each pairing like a seed needs a hole. Dirt needs water etc. This is a good book to start a small child with.
Great board book. In seven double page spreads with a three word sentence for each double spread this board books succinctly states what a seed needs to sprout and grow. Love the illustrations done from the soil line with looks into the soil and then the seed growing above the soil line.
