The book is made up of quick little stories most of them only a couple of pages, that's great for reading in snippets. I wasn't crazy about the writing style, however.

Really read this bit by bit over a month. Each story is only a few pages long but interesting reading. A fun book to pick up and put down multiple times.

Interesting reading

This is a good read, the stories are about real people, what they faced, and what they did in response. Their suffering, the triumphs and tragedies. This is not a dry read history book but a tale of many stories that range from tragic to uplifting.
