Two classic stories of tantalizing seduction—and uncontained desire Seducing Mr. Right Catherine Harris has been head over heels for Luke Van Buren for as long as she can remember. But he's always regarded her as a kid sister, not a mature woman who knows exactly what she wants. When Cat asks Luke to help her meet—and seduce—Mr. Right, the request stirs up feelings in Luke that are definitely not-so-brotherly. But he's never been able to say no to Cat, and now he's finding her more irresistible than ever…. Take Me Jessie Adams knows exactly what she wants. Long nights of incredible sex and a baby to call her own. Then she's moving on. A sizzling affair with no strings attached suits business executive Joshua Falcon just fine. He's used to getting what he wants, both at work and at play—and gorgeous Jessie is too tempting to resist. But the pair share a surprising past. One that's poised to take their no-obligation arrangement somewhere they never dreamed….
Always an adventurer in life as well as writing, New York Times best-selling author Cherry Adair moved halfway across the globe from Cape Town, South Africa to the United States in her early years to become a interior designer. Now a resident of the Pacific Northwest she shares the award- winning adventures of her fictional T-FLAC counter terrorism operatives with her readers.
Cherry settled in beautiful San Francisco, where she started what eventually became a thriving interior design business. "I loved being a designer because it was varied and creative, and I enjoyed working with the public." A voracious reader when she was able to carve out the time, Cherry found her brain crowded with characters and stories of her own. "Eventually," she says, "the stories demanded to be told."
When asked why she chooses to write romantic action adventure, she says, "Who says you can’t have adventure and a great love life? Of course if you’re talking about an adventurous love life, that’s another thing altogether. I write romantic suspense coupled heart-pounding adventure because I like to entertain, and nothing keeps readers happier than a rollercoaster read, followed by a happy ending."
Popular on the workshop circuit, Cherry gives lively classes on writing and the writing life. Pulling no punches when asked how to become a published writer, Cherry insists, "Sit your butt in the chair and write. There's no magic to it. Writing is hard work. It isn't for sissies or whiners."
Cherry loves to spend time at home. A corner desk keeps her focused on writing, but the windows behind her, with a panoramic view of the front gardens, are always calling her to come outside and play. Her office has nine-foot ceilings, a fireplace, a television and built-in bookcases that will house approximately 3,500 paperback books.
"What can I say? My keeper shelf has been breeding in the middle of the night, rather like drycleaners' wire clothes hangers.”
Two of Cherry Adair's early books, together. If you want a couple of short, mindless fun romances, this is definitely the book for you. A couple of short standalone romance novels I did enjoy.
Two sexy stories that will lure you in with their captivating words and sexy alphas, Slow Burn has all the makings of a perfect little romance reading getaway! Just sit back and enjoy, and let these wonderfully crafted stories take you away!
Right out of the gate on pg. 1 the author ruined it for herself. The heroine was waiting naked in the hero’s bed and he comes in with another woman. Clothes are rustling, there’s a hungry kiss, and the heroine wondered where to hide. That’s utterly disgusting and I don’t know why authors keep doing this. It’s not funny. Do you want to witness the man you want about to have sex with another woman? I’m not supporting this. Also, Idk why I’d pick this up when the heroine from the second novel wants to get knocked up by a stranger just to get her own baby.

Seducing Mr. Right by Cherry Adair Innocence. "Unbearably sweet. Poignant. Sinfully rich." This is a romance that makes you sigh in contentment in the end. Girl gets guy. Guy gets girl. Love.
Take Me by Cherry Adair Romance, fake marriage, fake relationship turns into more, conflict, hot sex and then love. Ok, of course there is lots more. I loved the heroine, Jessie Adams. She is feisty, cheerful and loves bright colors. She wants a baby and has chosen her husband for the father. But Joshua Falcon doesn't even know her real name. I wasn't fond of the lies that were told but is kind of reminded me of an old Barbara Cartland romance I read many many years ago. At least in the basic concept. Bottom line, I loved the romance, sex scenes, and the ultimate love and caring.
Two of my favorite Cherry Adair books in one! I loved revisiting these two stories!! Seducing Mr. Right is a great story of family and love. Cat has always loved Luke...but Luke knew he had to be the "big brother"...even though he is just the son of one of Cat's many stepfathers.Luke promises to be the one to watch out for Cat. But now Cat is all grown up and she is just pushing his buttons. And every push just makes things hotter and hotter! Take Me is one of the stories that I couldn't put down. A Cinderella type story where the handsome prince (Joshua) shows up and wants Cinderella to marry him. No strings attached. A business deal. After all of the years she has been the unseen bride for Joshua..she now wants something from him...a baby...His baby. Can she lure him into helping her get her wish? LOVE LOVE it!!!
This book deserved my 5 stars . Seducing Mr right was very good , although I couldn't imagine being in love with my step brother and the feelings were clearly there. They were just bring blind and clueless.
Take Me: Definitely the best of the two. It was so good I couldn't even put it down, reading at red light and things. I liked Jessie from the very beginning. She seemed like the bubbly, loving type of woman. Joshua got on my nerve. Stone hearted, and selfish. And how can he not know who or where is wife was for several years? This book is recommended .
What do you do when you know he's Mr. Right when he keeps you at arms length? How do you make him see you're his Ms Forever even if you already have him on paper? Whether it is a teaching lesson in the arts of seduction or a sordid affair to get the outcome you called in this book kept being a page turner you can't put down. two great stories worth reading over and over again. Highly recommended read
Two good romances. Preferred the first story "Seducing Mr. Right" better than the second "Take Me", only because "Take Me" kept me thinking about a badly written trilogy that is being made into a movie right now. "Take Me" is well set up, has believable characters (love Felix & Simon) has funny, sad, angry, sexy parts.
I liked this book. Of the two stories in it I really liked Take Me better than Seducing Mr Right. Did not like that one at all. Very predictable, etc and did not hold my interest at all. Take Me was a good one. Kept me on the edge of the seat thinking how she was going to get her man!..All the emotion of this book was just so great. Roller Coater of emotions on both parties!..
