A five-minute trolley ride, one troublemaking luggage, and two stolen identities. Six months later, two strangers discover they’re married. She wants an annulment. He has other plans.

Being illegally hitched is about the only way Chase Lennox would ever be shackled to any woman. But when the multimillionaire playboy finds out he’s married to the woman who caused him to lose the biggest deal of his life, Chase decides before he gives his new wife an annulment, she’s going to help him close the deal he’d lost.

Jessina Landi has a three-foot radius comfort zone. The last man she let into it cost her a lot more than a broken heart. And the huge debt she owes for that trust, well, it’s due. If she takes Chase Lennox's up on his offer, it’s sure to cover the bill.

There’s an annulment waiting at the end of their rainbow… well, that’s if they can get through the next two weeks without consummating the marriage.

And I thought Kelly's cowboys were naughty they have NOTHING on Chase, "that?" He cringed again as his co** branded her lush, wiggling a**. "Don't take it personally, sweetheart but that happens every morning." I mean he's also quite proud of his parts, "he glimpsed down at his erection. "Hell no, not when it comes to that." He looked back at her, unable to hold back the pride he held for his manhood. "Believe me, there's nothing down there that I need to be ashamed of. I've been told it's just the right width, length -" Jess is a saucy thing and oh boy she kept her man on his toes, "do you have a notary public here?" When he glances up at her, she gaze back at him for a moment. "Of course you do," she sarcastically answered her own question. "You have people who buy your luggage and apologize for you, why wouldn't you have your own personal notary too?"

This book was gifted to me in exchange for an honest review.
Jessica Landi has just returned from her Aunt Lulu's funeral when she Chase Lennox starts running after her in the parking lot. He is screaming that she has stolen his luggage. After proving that it really is hers the poor man is on his way knowing that his real luggage with important paperwork in it has disappeared.
Seems this missing luggage is going to get them both into more trouble. Jessica can not find her wallet and believes that because the bags were similar she may have stuck it in Chase's missing bag. Oops. Things go from bad to worse as the luggage thiefs have gone to Vegas and gotten married using the stolen ID. This means that now Chase and Jessica find themselves legally married.
This was hilarious, I mean, imagine loosing your wallet and finding yourself married to a stranger. This was some great imagination.
Chase quickly comes to the conclusion that it would be great to have a pretend wife, well a real wife, pretending to be his wife for a few weeks to help seal his business deal.
Since Jessica has gotten herself into a little predicament with her ex fiance Lance she readily accepts the job and the payment offer. Chase has been burned by money hungry women in the past and believes that Jessica is just like all the others.
They dance around their attraction to one another and we watch the sparks fly, they kiss and more sparks fly. It was so funny to watch them try to spend time together without given in to the heavy sexual chemistry in the air. There are secrets to air on both sides. They both fall hard and fast but their pasts are getting in the way. Neither one of them is good at opening up and declaring how they feel, this makes for some great and frequent misunderstandings. Will they ever work things out? Will they take a chance on love? Put their feelings on the line and risk them beeing trampled on again?
This was a great romantic novel. It was very well written and very easy to read. I read it in one sitting. The characters were well though out and interesting, their backgrounds were described in depth so that we knew why they were acting the way that they were. I would recomment this book and rate it 5/5.

I loved the
way these two met - and the circumstances that brought them back to meet again
was even crazier.  Right from the
beginning, Chase and Jessina battled each other - stubbornly disagreeing how
to  fix their situation, and even though
they argued - they still both felt the spark between them.  At times I wondered if they
would ever recover from their past hurts and move on and heal.

This story was a "love
at first sight" type of story which sometimes to me feels rushed, and I
occasionally  wished that I could have gotten
to know Jessina and Chase a little better.
Sometimes the way they acted to different situations, didn't seem to
make sense for what I did know about them.

If you like
a fast paced, cute love story that will keep you wondering if these two will
ever get it together and admit their true feelings toward each other - then
this book is definitely for you, and
you'll never imagine who the "troublemaker" really is in the story!

I’ve realized the theme for these books are “Let’s fall in love in two weeks” lol. This book started off good, then chapter 2 beginning confused me but quickly got unconfused. If you read this, chapter 2 is 6 months later. I felt like this book could’ve been better. “Well how does a book you gave 5 stars could be better? 🙁” it was something about the execution of the book. It felt like some thoughts weren’t well thought out, or that Kelly simply didn’t feel like explaining too much, but a little more would’ve been good. I feel like this book could’ve been longer and still be enough. I love dominant bare his feelings Chase and his dirty talk? *swoons* and I love the spiciness of Jessina’s personality. The sex scenes JESUS 😩💙✨

I gave it 5 stars because overall it was a great book!

This could be read as a stand-alone, and you could actually read this first and then broken fences. But I don’t know if you can do that with the whole series just yet.

A review of Favorite places, A trouble maker novel by Kelly Gendron.

I read A LOT of romance novels and they can all be a bit the same so it was
refreshing to find a book with such an unusual premise. As the beginning of the
story is a little confusing I have had to explain it, this may act as a spoiler
to some but it really doesn't spoil the story to know these things. They are
revealed early on in the book anyway.

Jessina Landi is working in a diner and living in a dive when she flies back
from the funeral of her great aunt, carrying a 10th of her ashes. This isn't how
her life is meant to be, she is a trained accountant but trusting a man took
everything away from her, her career, her heart, the small amount of trust she
had mustered and her integrity. On the trolley at the airport she meets Chase
Lennox. ( a note to English readers, the trolley is what we call the Shuttle
Bus, not knowing this caused me to imagine them having some kind of bizarre
bumper car ride on the luggage trolleys at first but maybe that's just me)

As Jess and Chase bump into each other on the bus, sexual sparks fly but neither
of them could predict the journey could have such far reaching effects.

In a bizarre twist of fate, Jess reaches down to put her wallet away, placing it
into. Chase's identical luggage. She then departs the bus taking her own luggage
with her, Chase isn't thinking straight that day as he has a very important deal
to complete and on seeing Jess take what he believes to be his luggage he chases
after her, and some what aggressively demands the case back causing Jess to drop
the ashes. It transpires that Jess has the correct case but no wallet and Chase
has lost his case with Jess's wallet inside. The pair part on bad terms thinking
they will never meet again.

The twist really comes when Chase's stolen case with Jess's wallet inside falls
into the hands of pranksters who decide to use the pairs ID's to get married,
leaving the two temporarily unaware that they are married to each other. This
comes to light when Jess has to deal with her inheritance from her aunt.

Jess approaches Chase for an annulment but after a sexually charged meeting Jess
is involved in an accident and Chase takes it upon himself to care for her. He
claims this is because he has a business deal he needs her help with but can't
deny the attraction he feels for her.

Chase needs Jess, he needs to come across as a family man for a business deal.
Having a wife at his side will be the perfect cover. But he wants her too, he
wants it to be for just sex but his heart isn't listening. Chase has some major
trust issues and sees all woman as money grabbing gold diggers. When some
information about Jess's past comes to light it breaks Chase's heart to think
that she isn't as good as she seems and he was right to mistrust her all along.

Jess needs Chase, she needs the money he is offering to play his wife for a
little while longer, but she needs him for something more too, she has some
major issues with intimacy stemming from a traumatic event as a child and she
feels so good when in Chases arms she feels Chase can help her overcome this but
she gets more than she bargained for when it isn't just her body he soothes but
her heart too.

The couple have so many misunderstandings and miss so many opportunities to see
the good in each other. They are both good people who want the best for people
they care about, it just takes a little while to see that in each other but it's
so sweet when they do.

I really likes this book, so many romance novels are a little to perfect, things
happen to easily for my liking. I felt this book was more real for the setbacks
the couple suffered. The attraction between them was so much more Intense for
being denied.

It was a good, easy read with a lovely feel good ending and I award it four
stars.
Thank you for your amazing book and I look forward to reading more from you in the future. :)

Chase, AKA Mr. Hot Lips: Sexy, womanizing, arrogant, millionaire playboy. He definitely does not do relationships, no way, let alone marriage.

Jessina, AKA Little Miss Wholesome: Beautiful, quirky, sassy, funny, stubborn, and not afraid to stand up to Chase. I really liked Jessina! She says what she wants and is sarcastic—my favorite kind of heroine!

Jessina wasn’t about to be hushed by any man. “Stop it!” Her hand shot out at him. “And back up! Remember this, Mr. Lennox?” She circled her finger around in front of her. “This is my space.

My God. How can someone be so gorgeous and so annoying at the same time?

After a series of events and stolen identities, the two find themselves married. Now Jessina is adamant on an annulment but Chase has other plans. He decides that Jessina will help him close the biggest deal of his life, which Jessina had in a way cost him, before an annulment would happen. So, he makes her proposition that entails her fake being his wife for three weeks.

The last time Jessina opened up herself, she got hurt and heartbroken. She is not ready or willing to open up again, especially to yet another rich playboy. All women want from Chase is sex and money, he will never let his guard down. But the unlikely pair has a sizzling chemistry. Chase cannot not help but to be attracted to her all-natural beauty.

Now all they have to do is to get through three weeks without consummating their marriage.

“You want me, Jessina, and you hate it.”

The attraction in there and it’s undeniable. There's so much more to Chase than meets the eye. He could be caring and sweet. But he is hurt and broken by his past that made him guarded and un-trustful towards women. Jessina is also going through and settling some things in her life right now. They each have their own trust issues to overcome.

“I know how I come off. I’m an asshole, but it’s the only way I know how to stay strong.”

Although Chase had his reason for his trust issues, he was so frustrating when he kept doubting Jess and thinking that she’s a gold digger.

Honestly, I think I liked Jess better than Chase throughout most of the book. But he did make me swoon in the end. There wasn’t much drama other than their own trust issues getting in the way of their relationship or non-relationship. I just adored Mrs. Caplin in the end. She was one smart woman.

Overall, a great quick read.

Ms. Gendron has another winner in the Troublemaker series. I love how she interwove some of the story of Broken Fences at the end of this story. It shows how they fit together. The antics of Jessina and Chase are funny to read about. They try so hard to fight the attraction and to see who will cave first to the other they don't even realize they are falling in love. It is understandable the reluctance they have for both have been hurt by those they loved in the past and have trust issues. When you hear Chases' story it will tug at your heart. Especially after you read about his love for his niece. So beautiful. Good thing she is around though because she is who gets Chase to realize he trusts Jessina and has feelings for her. When he tries to tell Jessina in his own way misunderstandings occur and they go through a lot of angst. Although the ending to that angst will crack you up.

Chase is a arrogant and gorgeous yet rich and successful businessman. He is also kind and loving when you get to know him. For some reason Jessina is one he can't get over and is deeply attracted to the first time he sees her. He tries to fight this tooth and nail and says it is just for business he stays married to her but as the days go on you can see he is breaking down. He finds Jessina amusing and she finds him exhausting. His trust issues and feelings about women stem from his mother and what she did poor guy. But Jessina breaks that down and is his happiness.

Jessina is a feisty spitfire of a girl. She acts on emotions and doesn't think of the consequences. Like when she went down to tell Chase off and didn't think about who would be around. Lo and behold it was during a staff meeting. He found it amusing she found it embarrassing. To me it was hysterical. Her antics to try to get Chase to give in were so fun to watch. But overall she was a caring and kind woman. In the end though the plan she hatched to get Chase to admit his feelings was fun to watch unfold as they both waited for the other to come to their senses. Her trust issues of men stem from a past love and when she places all that on Chase it does get frustrating but is understandable.

A fun and wonderful read on two people finding safety and trust again in each other as they fall in love with one another.

WOW KELLY!! How confused, sexually frustrated, turned on, and excited am I! You have Jessina, she's coming home from her Aunt's funeral and her aunt's ashes in tow, while on a trolley she bumps into a sexy man she calls at the beginning "Mr. Hot Lips" AKA Chase Lennox hot millionaire extraordinaire. Chase is cocky and pretty sure of himself but he doesn't trust easily. Jessina was naive and has trouble with people being in her space. What happens after their is a mishap and these two end up married without knowing?? It's quite funny actually! I loved the banter between these two, I felt their frustrations. It's just too funny! They were so sexy together! I loved Broken Fences Dusty And Colden were amazing and hot! But Jessina and Chase!! OOOOOO WEEEEE!!! Haha, I laugh because of the game they had between each other. Trying to not have sex with each other while pretending they are married? PSSHHH married people have a hard time keeping to themselves let alone a HOT SEXY TATTED PRETEND HUSBAND!! OH did he have a smooth tongue! I loved his words "THERE ARE A FEW MORE THINGS YOU NEED TO KNOW ABOUT ME IN ORDER TO SUCCESSFULLY PULL THIS OFF, JESSINA. WILL YOU STAY JUST ONE MORE NIGHT? SO I CAN SHOW THEM TO YOU?" "WHAT?" "WHAT SORT OF THINGS?" "THE SORT OF THINGS I WOULD DO WITH MY REAL WIFE." "I WANT TO SHOW YOU HOW MY WIFE WOULD MAKE ME FEEL WHEN I'M THIS CLOSE TO HER." "CHASE..." " JESSINA...." " FUCK, I WANT YOU." " FROM THE MOMENT I SAW YOU ON THAT DAMN TROLLEY, I'VE WANTED YOU." "YOU WANT ME TO KISS YOU?" "YES. I WANT YOU TO KISS ME." "AND IF I DON'T?" "I'M GOING TO DIE IF YOU DON'T KISS ME. I'M GOING TO DIE RIGHT HERE IF YOU DON'T TOUCH ME CHASE!" "THAT IS EXACTLY HOW I FEEL JESSINA. JUST LIKE THAT, EVERY TIME YOU LOOK AT ME." "I'VE HAD TO DEAL WITH IT. I'VE HAD TO DEAL WITH DYING ALL OVER, AGAIN AND AGAIN, EVERY TIME YOU TOSSED THOSE BIG BEAUTIFUL EYES MY WAY." OH CHASE!!! I WANT YOU!!! *Ahem* Sorry mind slip.. I have to keep telling myself that they are Fictional men.. *sigh* I love Chase Lennox and am SOOO syked for Lucky's story..Lucky is Jessina and Dusty's cousin and has had a cameo in both books and he sounds ooohh soo yummy!! I hope he comes to us soon Kelly! I give my Favorite Place ;) 5 stars! ~Chris ;)

Jessina Landi doesn’t get close to anyone—literally. She needs a three-foot comfort zone thanks to issues in her past. So why doesn’t she mind bumping into Chase Lennox on the trolley? It doesn’t matter, because Chase’s luggage is stolen along with Jessina’ wallet, and Jessina’s aunt’s ashes are dumped all over the parking lot. Six months later, Jessina finds millionaire Chase to let him know someone played a joke on them with the stolen items. They’re married. And Jess needs an annulment.

Chase isn’t so quick to grant the annulment though. He needs to show a potential contractor that he’s a family man, and wholesome Jess is perfect to play the part of his wife. Even though he never—ever—wanted to be married, he convinces Jess to remain his wife for three weeks to land his contract. Now Chase needs to decide if he can trust Jess and let her into his heart or if she’s just another gold-digger like all of the women in his past.

Favorite Places had lots of potential with a good plot, but it didn’t deliver all I expected. A lot of things about it felt unnatural. The dialogue during intimate scenes was over the top. There was way too much internal dialogue from both characters. The relationship between Chase and Jessina felt awkward since the only things they ever did were yell at each other or get turned on. I never quite felt the love that was supposedly growing between them.

There were a good amount of editing mistakes, which drew my attention away from the story as well.

I also didn’t like the epilogue since it clearly was meant as a vehicle for introducing the next book in the series. Aside from that, the story did a good job of being stand-alone within a series. I didn’t need to read the first book to understand the plot or the characters.

Three stars for a good plot that wasn’t executed properly.

Kelly Gendron’s Troublemaker series is quickly becoming the series that I sit and anticipate new releases for. I love the men in her world. The women in her books are never the wishy washy back down to an alpha male type. They stand on their own two feet and make the men fight for them.

I loved Favorite Places just as much as I loved Broken Fences.

Let me start out by saying these are definitely stand alones BUT it is fun to know who the characters with smaller parts are when their names come up.

After Chase and Jessina’s first chance encounter on the trolley, I knew the heat was high, but I did not know how they were going to run into each other again.

Imagine my surprise when I swiped the page and boom – they are married, yet they weren’t actually the ones who got married. It kind of took both of them by surprise too.

That was definitely an unusual fun twist to the story that I have never seen in another book that I have read. I have read lots of oops – I got drunk last night, now we are married books but none where neither spouse was actually there when it happened.

These two have chemistry and heat. You can feel it coming off the pages. There are moments that make you laugh and there are moments that have you hopeful. There were times where I was saying oh come on Chase! The end had me trying to hold tears back while I was at the dance studio waiting for my daughter to get done with dance. I was so invested in these characters that I just had tears flood my eyes with the conclusion.

I cannot wait until the next book in this series. I hear that it is called Lucky Numbers and will be published in April 2014.

Thank you so much for the ARC! I am so happy that I could be a part of this tour.

Arc review
4 stars

This is the first time I have read anything from Kelly gendron, and I must say I truly enjoyed the book. The characters were believable, the places and setting were descriptive enough to be able to place yourself there. Kelly did a great job in writing descriptive, erotic scenes. The sx scenes were very detailed and fulfilling. In addition, I liked that there was a dialogue to the story and it wasn't all about sex. She made her female character, jess, strong and able to hold her own. Chase, I absolutely loved his character. He was strong, dominant, and honestly easy to rally in love with, as soon as your broke down his walls. He had so much going for him and so much bad that has happened to him, you felt for this character. You were fighting for jess and chase the whole time you are reading.

Why I didn't give it five stars. It was short, there is so many little details that were rushed that she could make it longer and draw it out a bit. Still on bed the story just like not to be rushed during the book. Seemed she rushed through the storyline but gave great detail to all the sex scenes, and DON'T get me wrong love the detail just wanted it for the whole story. I'm also for POV being told by the person it seems to give more detail, but even though it was told as third person it was good.

Just a quick rundown. Chase and jess meet on a trolley. Chase thinks jess stole his luggage but she didn't. Six months later jess goes to Chase's office and tells him their married and that is when it gets interesting. The story continues with deals, ultimatums, renegotiating, hate, love, and of course the hea.

I would read Kelly again. She is a great author and see good things in her future.

2.5 rounded to 3 stars.

You know, it's funny that I don't mind reading cliche anything at all as long as it's well written. This story is chock full of NA romance cliches. You have the hottest man on earth who is also (shock of shocks) a manwhorish millionaire (although he does seem to be somewhat reformed). You also have the h who just can't resist him even though he could be a serious jerk with intimacy issues. There's an inconvenient accidental marriage, then a pretend relationship, and a . Now I really don't mind any of those things. However, I don't really feel like this book was that engaging. There was just something missing. But if you're looking for a short and sweet read, one where you don't have to think so hard, one that'll entertain you for a couple of hours, this book is for you. :)

What I liked:
1) The alternating dual povs written in the third person. Chase actually sounds like a guy. Yay!
2) How not sappy this book was. I mean, the MCs do refer to feelings, esp. in their inner monologues, but it doesn't get overboard with the sappiness.
3) No ow/om drama.
4) Chase really seemed like he was making changes. The moment he decided to give the h more time, he didn't start flirting or sleeping around.

What I didn't like:
1) How the h couldn't resist the H. He was seriously arrogant and rude at times. Being attractive shouldn't discount those less desirable traits.
2) How demanding and bossy the H was...and the h just listens to him! What.the.heck.
3) How the H still made the h go to him in the end. It should have been the other way around.

I received a copy of this book to read and review for Wicked Reads, so here is my review. This is the second story in the Troublemaker series and they seem to be getting better and better. They are funny and heartfelt and even heartbreaking at times. When Jessina is coming from her Aunt Lulu's funeral and she is on the trolley getting tossed into a very hard wall of man. Chase is trying to keep her upright by holding her to him. When she gets off the trolley, her thinks she has stolen his luggage. But he soon learns that she doesn't have his luggage and that his was gone along with the papers needed for his next client meeting. But things will take a turn for better or worse when Jessina shows up at his office six months later informing him that they are married according to Nevada laws. How did this happen? But when he thinks of a proposition to keep the marriage with Jessina will help him to get what he needs to win over Mr. Caplin. But can he keep his feelings out of it? Will Jessina be just like every other woman he has met, only in it for the money? Jessina has a secret to why she needs the money and when Chase finds out the truth, will he break her heart? This series is so good and I loved it. Can't wait to start Lucky Numbers (book 3). So if you haven't started this series yet, pick them up and enjoy, I did.

Given by the author for an honest review for her Blog Tour

I just love the TroubleMaker Series!! Every story is entirely different from the other and each and every one of them is entertaining and a pure pleasure to read!

Favorite Places is probably my favorite book of the series..so far at least…

The story may not be the most original, but the characters are amazing and the writing is incredible! Kelly has this unique ability to write fast-paced novels without leaving anything significant out of the story.. Every character is very well developed and every event is created and executed perfectly!..She is incredibly talented and the Troublemaker series is here to prove that..

This novel, in particular, alternates between serious and playful in a way a reader doesn’t see very often. When we’re in the serious mode, there’s this aura around the characters that make you wanna get into their heads..And when we’re in the playful zone, you just laugh like crazy..

Chase and Jessina are our main characters and I loved them both..Even when Chase is being an asshole, he’s still so damn adorable..You can’t stay mad at him..Believe me, I tried and failed miserably…And Jess is an amazing character through and through..She doesn’t take crap by anyone, even by her beloved husband..Truly supportive of that..

In conclusion, the Troublemaker Series is a MUST-READ SERIES that you do not want not to read!! Trust me on that! And Favorite Places will make you love the series all the more…Kelly is an author you really want to stalk..

***** I received an ARC copy for an honest review *****

~I received an ARC from Book Enthusiast Promotions in exchange for an honest review~

This was such a quick, cute read about things not always happening the way you want them to, but the result is even better than you can imagine.

The story revolves around Jessina Landi, who is riding the trolley in Vegas and comes across the very handsome and wealthy Chase Lennox. Of course they both have matching suitcases and they accidentally get them switched. But then some jokester decides to have a little fun when they find Chase's important papers and Jess's ID and BOOM I may now pronounce you ... married.

Obviously Chase isn't too happy about this but what can ya do?! I guess be fake married until you realize that the steamy and loving connection you have for this other person is actually pretty stable and real in a court of law.

Overall, I'm giving this book 3.5 STARS out of 5 STARS because it was very romantic, but it was just so predictable. A couple more twists and turns would have helped a lot, but I'm not complaining too much. Definitely read this for the HEA.

This is the first time I have experienced a book by Kelly Gendron and it definitely wont be the last.

The two main characters Chase and Jessina were lovable and engaged the reader, even when they annoyed you.

Chase is an arrogant, cocky, sexy and extremely wealthy business man.
Jessina is a strong, beautiful woman, who is having trouble with her ex and trying to fix her life.

The two meet on a short trolley ride from the airport and while there are sparks of attraction, things take a turn when Chase's bag is stolen along with Jessina's wallet which she accidentally put inside it. Six months..... BAM! Their identities had been stolen and it seems that they are now married.

Wanting an annulment, Jessina goes to Chase and events spiral and an agreement made that Jessina will pretend to be Chase's wife to help him make the deal he lost out on the day the first met.

There is such a strong attraction between these two and ALOT of steamy sexual chemistry that they try to fight. Chase has always been let down by money hungry woman and Jessina was burned pretty badly by her ex. I loved watching their relationship develop and was truly happy with the ending.

This story was romantic and sweet and had me laughing quite a few times. An enjoyable, light read that I would recommend to all.

Favorite Places by Kelly Gendron is the second book in her TroubleMaker series. The star of the tale...A piece of luggage that happens to have a long lost twin. No, not really, but it does pretty much all begin with the luggage!

Jessina bumps into Chase, quite literally, on the trolley from the airport. They both have the same luggage and there's a massive mix up. So massive that they find out six months later that they are actually married and need to get their "Marriage" annulled.

Chase has a very low opinion of women. In his own personal experience they are only out for one thing, money. When Jessina storms into his office demanding an annulment he's all on board. Until he realizes that there is something she can help him with before he signs the papers.

This was a humorous, romantic story of how your past shapes you and not always for the good. It's a story about becoming strong enough to change and overcome your past in order to enjoy your now and to make a better future for yourself.

I'm eager to read more from this author.

loving this series! 4.5 again x

Bumping into Jessina on the trolley bus 6 months ago cost Chase dearly. He lost the deal of his life, as well as his suitcase and ID. Now she turns up on his doorstep, saying they are MARRIED!! She wants an annulment. Chase needs to close this deal, once and for all. Jessina needs money, for what, she isn't saying. So a deal is struck, and the game is afoot!.

after reading this back to back with Broken Fences, I was pleasantly pleased it was as good as the first one! Instant attraction, very bad misconceptions, and a troublemaker of a suitcase! Chase had had his heart broken, and he tarred all women with the same brush. Jessina had more than her heart broken, it cost her, dearly and not just in monetary terms. the coming together of these two is sweet, but the bit where Chase finally realises what Jessina needs money for?? beautiful!

super hot passion, a decent story line, which makes me laugh in parts and sad in others. more cousins popping up. Normally I would have liked to have seen more from previous characters, but since these cousins live in various cities across the states I can see why that wouldn't work.

cant quite figure out why I'm not giving 5 fangs, but still a solid 4.5!

Jessina Landi is the cousin of Dusty Owens form Broken Fences is returning home from Aunt Lulu’s funeral when she bumps into Chase Lenox literally. He is an attractive man with a sculpted body (I said bumped into literally) and an intoxicating smell. Jessina is a good looking woman but she has been betrayed by a man she thought she loved and is in no way interested in men at this point in her life. Destiny has other plans.

I love the premise of the plot, no, it’s not wholly believable but that’s why it’s called fiction. The idea that this could happen make me smile. Of course the reader knows the direction the story will take, but that’s why we read romance. Both Jessina and Chase have been hurt by relationships including parental which leads them to be untrusting. There is a real attraction and some hot, hot sex but they need to learn communication (don’t we all?). I really enjoyed this book. I had a smile on my face while reading it. I defiantly see changes in Ms. Gendron’s writing. I love this book; I think it is better than Broken Fences. I give Favorite Places 4.5 stars with 4 hands down the pants and look forward to reading Lucky Numbers third in A Trouble Makers Novel series.

This is the second book in the TroubleMaker series. I liked this one even more than the first book! A chance meeting on a trolley and a luggage mix-up turns into a wild ride for two strangers. Imagine yourself in an innocent mix-up of luggage and then find out you are married to the owner of said luggage. This is exactly what happens to Jess and Chase. Jess finds out about this “marriage” goes to Chase to gets it annulled. Chase figures out that Jess and that troublemaking piece of luggage are the reason he lost a huge deal and he wants her to make up for that before he gives her the annulment. The next two weeks are full of twists and turns and that leave both of them wondering if what they first thought of each other is really true and if they really want their fake marriage annulled.

Characters: The characters are so well written; you can’t help but fall in love with all of them and feel like you are right there in the moment with them.

Sex: so steamy

Religious: no

Would I recommend to others: yes

More than one book in the series: yes

Genre: Romance

Would I read more by this author: yes

☆☆☆ 4 – 4.5 STARS!!! ☆☆☆

→ FULL REVIEW: Clickety click ;) + GIVEAWAY!!!

**COPY PROVIDED BY AUTHOR**

OHMYGOD!!! This book. I shit myself reading it. It was hilarious as fuck, sweet as candy cane and, not to mention, covered with angst! The characters were just bloody brilliant and the complications were all logical. The storyline? Don't get me started. A truly wonderful read!

"Truth is… I wanted it all to be real. I wanted you to be mine, and not because of some deal, for the money, or so you could get your damn inheritance."

I didn't really expect much from this book because I wasn't too addicted to the first one so. But this book surprised me. I LOVED IT!!!

“First, do you know who I am?”
“Yes. You’re the egoistical asshole I’m illegally married to!”

I received a free copy of this book to read and review for Wicked Reads.

Favorite Places is book 2 in Kelly Gendron's Trouble Marker series. I have read book 1 but each book is a complete story on its own.

The premise of this book is not particularly original but I was quickly sucked into the story and I finished it in one afternoon. At first I didn't like our hero Chase - he is a bit full of himself. But it didn't take long to fall in love with him and ultimately I like that he isn't perfect. Jess, our heroine, has been kicked around a bit by life but is still honest and kind and a little tough.

The story is full of ups and downs and moves at a quick pace. Kelly is great at writing sexual tension between her characters and that is what kept me turning the pages.

I enjoyed this book and this is a good solid series. I'm looking forward to reading Lucky Numbers which is book 3.

My Review:

4.7 Star Review - Favorite Places

I recommend this book.

This book includes drama, passion, betrayal, and heartache.

Jessina and Chase shared a trolley ride months ago. Now she is at his office to let him know that somehow they are married. Her wallet, his missing luggage, and someone's idea of a joke. She breaks the news and he wants her so he comes up with a way to use the marriage to keep her for a little while.

Chase needs a wife to make a deal so he asks Jessina to stay married for a few weeks to get the deal and then they can get annulled. After she accepts money for the deal he believes she is a gold digger. As the days go on the chemistry pulls them together but he will never give his heart to a gold digger.

He finds out a secret about Jessina and automatic thinks the worst and pushes her away. When the truth comes out can he get her back or is it too late to save the relationship? Will she forgive him for thinking the worst or run from the chance of happiness?

Can't wait for the next book from Kelly.

Favorite Places is book two in the TroubleMaker series. Book one is called Broken Fences. I have not read book one. Favorite Places can be read as a standalone. I have been told that minor characters pop up in both books. I did feel that some names pop up and I didn't know who they were so I think reading book one would have been helpful.

This was a cute and funny story. Jessina Landi meets Chase Lennox while on a trolley ride. There is an attraction between them but the part ways. Six months latter they find out that their identities have been stolen and they are now married. Jessina wants and annulment. They strike a deal to keep the fake marriage up for a few week, so Chase can land a deal he wants. Jessina and Chase may have a fake marriage but the heat between is not fake. They are some really steamy scenes between

chase and Jessina. Can they make they fake marriage into something more? you'll have to read it to find out.

Favorite Places is well written and the story line was great. I loved Jessina and Chase's story.

This is the first story I read by Kelly Gendron and I thoroughly enjoyed it. The story begins on a trolley ride and Jessica although having impure thoughts of the sexy guy next to her she certainly didn't think she'd end up married to him. I loved the concept of this story and the writer brings you in and doesn't let go. Chase is a sexy as hell, perfect package and did I say sexy as hell guy just trying to close a business deal, when things go bad to worse they have to band together and stay married but when attraction takes over and feelings get in the way these two have a wild ride ahead of them, they try to fight their attraction and its romantically funny, sweet and sexy all in one. Loved the characters and the story, thought it was a quick read and very much recommend. I would love to read more from Kelly and can't wait to be introduced to more characters. 4 stars review by Nanee at upallnightreadallday.blogspot.com

This is book 2 in a series. I haven't read book one yet but will be soon. For the most part, I didn't feel like I was missing much as I read, although there were a couple characters that I felt were probably carry-overs from the first book.

I loved Jessina and Chase's story. Watching the relationship develop and the sparks fly made this book great. The start of their relationship was different, that's what caught my attention in the first place. Someone using your stolen identity to marry someone just caught me off guard. As it did Jessina and Chase. I'm sure it's happened in real life, it just wasn't something I ever thought of. Then to have it work out to benefit both parties was surprising.

I look forward to reading the next book in the series when it comes out in April (Hopefully). I'm off to read the first book.

I received a free copy of this book to read and review for Wicked Reads.

A misunderstanding over stolen luggage and identity theft has left Jessina Landi in a fake marriage with hunky Chase Lennox. Wanting to get this cleared up so she can inherit her part of Aunt Lulu's estate, she goes to Chase to get him to sign off on the paperwork.

Both Chase and Jess have been hurt by money grubbing members of the opposite sex and while they try to control the sparks that fly between them, they can't help but push the sins of the past on to each other.

I can't wait to read Lucky Numbers to see where next Troublemaker takes us.

"I received a free copy of this book to read and review for Wicked Reads."

I loved this story: for the heat between the characters; for the reasons that they both behaved as they did; for the "troublemaker" that brought them together and kept reappearing. The leads were strong willed, strongly affected by their past, and both highly principled. But sometimes love demands that principles be reassessed. The heat between them is great, and beautifully described as it escalates. This series is going into my reread collection.

Loved that we got to meet more characters in this complex series. Looking forward to book three ...
