Can't Resist #4

Finding the Right Girl

Rate this book
Being a single dad who's now loved and lost twice in his life, all Brian's currently looking for is something casual and simple for a change. Unfortunately, being the nice guy poster boy and all, he isn't exactly versed in the fine art of flings. So he looks to the unique and outrageously button-pushing Tessa for a crash course. There's absolutely no way he's falling in love with this one...right?

Tessa has no idea why she told the ridiculously handsome man who couldn't be more wrong for her that she was some sort of fling expert. She's never been flung before and she sure as heck doesn't know how to begin flinging a guy like him. Not only does Brian have as many demons as she does, but worst of all, he's got her thinking of the one thing she stopped hoping for years ago.

...A happily ever after.

The 'other brother's happily ever after'... the standalone spin-off novel (no cliffhanger) to the Sullivan Brothers "Nice Girl Trilogy" that began the CAN'T RESIST series.

In Finding The Right Girl by Violet Duke, Brain is about to give up on being in love again. Having time limited flings with women seemed to work for his brother Connor before he and Abby fell for each other - so why wouldn't Brian give it a try?

When Brian meets up again with Tess, who he met at his brother's wedding, there is definitnely a chemistry between them. The attraction is mutual...but neither is looking for a relationship. When they decide to have a fling, making it all about sex, they are going to find it impossible to keep it at that. Brian and Tess really enjoy being together...they have a lot of fun, and they just get each other. Both of them have pasts that have hurt them...are they ready to move on and see what the future holds? Tess has a secret too...will she hold tight to it or can she trust her heart and Brian's to open up to him? Or will the past and secrets ruin the hope of a future together?

Finding the Right Girl by Violet Duke is not just about a romance between Brian and Tess. Violet writes eloquently about complex emotions, relationships, and the harsh reality of genetic diseases. She brings in the secondary characters, mainly Skylar, Brian's daughter, Connor and Abby, weaving them into the plot just so but not letting them or their issues take over. They are an important part of Finding the Right Girl, adding strength to the story and the characteristics of everyone in it.

Brian and Tess are both great people I would love to spend time with! Tess is independent and strong, but she holds so much inside. I really felt for her...she has always been the care taker, no one has ever taken care of Tess. I loved that Brian could do this for her. Brian and Tess have both had experiences that many people haven't that have shaped who they are today and how they deal with what life hands them. They are two people in some ways so different, but in other ways so similar.

I really liked these characters of Violets because they were straight forward, regular adults. They didn't play games...they just were. They are two people that could be anyone you see on the street. I loved that Finding the Right Girl gave us so much more than the romance between Tess and Brian, it's about dealing with what life throws your way too.

Once again, Violet has wowed me! I loved all of the Nice Girl to Love books, and this book was the perfect spin off! I was so happy Abby ended up with Connor, and this book reinforces that because I really think Brian and Tess belong together if they can make it work!

Finding the Right Girl can be read as a stand alone book easily in my opinion, but I highly recommend all of the Nice Girl to Love Books!

I highly recommend Finding the Right Girl to any romance reader who likes a story with a lot of depth and great characters!

Title: Finding The Right Girl

Series: A Nice Guy to Love Spin-off

Author: Violet Duke

Rating: A

Brian Sullivan has been in love twice in his lifetime. He lost his first love to early-onset Huntington's, and he lost the other more recently...to his brother. And somehow, his heart has managed to heal itself after both. Amazingly, without therapy. That doesn't mean Brian hasn't gotten more wary along the way, however. In fact, he's been thinking lately that maybe his brother's now retired nothing-but-flings rule isn't such a bad idea. Unfortunately, being the nice guy poster boy and all, he isn't exactly versed in the fine art of flings. So he looks to the outrageously 'unique,' provokingly button-pushing Tessa Daniels for a crash course. There's absolutely no way he's falling in love with this one...right? Tessa has no idea what she was thinking telling Brian that she was some sort of fling expert. She's never been flung before and she sure as heck doesn't know where or how to begin flinging a guy like Brian. It was a temporary lapse in sanity, really--no doubt because of the can't-help-but-fall-for-him brain fuzz that hits her whenever he's around. Not only does the man have her being more herself than she's ever been in her life, but he's the only person she knows who seems to have as many demons and skeletons in the closet as she does. What's more, he's got her thinking of the one thing she stopped letting herself even hope for years ago.
A happily ever after.

Review: This book was a constant surprise - and a pleasant one, I might add! It was refreshing, engaging, sweet, and spunky all at the same time. I absolutely fell in love with the characters, and reading this definitely made me wonder how I never stumbled upon Violet Duke before? This was my first experience with her writing, and I can honestly say that it won't be my last!

It wasn't quite what I was expecting from the get-go either. For one, the blurb sort of gave me the impression that Brian was going to be very rigid in his ideals, and be one of those guys that sticks by that "fling" ideal until the last possible moment - when it's too late and he almost loses the girl. I was prepared to get annoyed with him a little, but surprisingly I ended up loving his character. He was far more open to things that what I thought, and in the end, someone who can love that wholeheartedly and with such strength of character and conviction. And Tessa was just a joy and a pleasure to read. I loved her vivacious personality, her caring heart, and her strength in dealing with all the things she had to deal with in her life.

Toss in the fact that it took a few surprising twists and turns along the way, that it includes some of the sweetest and most adorable kids on the planet, and that it tugs at your heartstrings in those oh-so-sweet ways, and you could say that this is definitely a keeper! I also learned quite a bit about Huntington's disease - including the juvenile variety which I was not even aware of! It was definitely a emotional roller coaster ride - but in the best way....:)

I was given this book as an ARC for an honest review.
I gave this book 5 stars.

This is Brian and Tessa's story.

This is a spin off from the series A nice guy to love

Although it is suggested that you read the books before this, it is not required. It can be read as a standalone. I do believe that I enjoyed it that much more though because I had read the other books.

This is a hard review to do without giving too much away but I am going to do my best.
Brian is a man who has lost too much in his lifetime. It is very sad, he lost his first wife to early-onset Huntington’s. And then he lost his second love to his brother. Abby was best friends with Brian through out his whole struggle when losing his first wife, and then she fell in love with is brother. He has lost two amazing relationships in his life, and I don't think he is ready to be hurt again, he has a beautiful daughter, and he is an amazing father. But he is looking for something that will fulfill his life completely.

Tessa was hurt by her first love. He tore out her heart, and she has not been the same since, she is content with doing her job and keeping to herself .. she has lost so many people in her life to this disease also . . Her dad and her sister. She does all she can for volunteering etc, to help out as much as she can.

When these two worlds collide they will not be the same. Can they deny each other the love that they both deserve because of past hurts and life's circumstances?

Go on Brian and Tessa's journey with them, I can't promise you a smooth ride but I can promise you unconditional love. Brian is a one of a kind guy and he knows how to love the right way. And Tessa is right there for him to love.

I loved this book, I enjoyed Violet's other novels about this family, Connor and Abby:) And Brian is just as sweet as Connor. He has a heart of gold and is very protective of what is his. He is a stand up guy who does what is right, and might be looked at as a push over but he is far from that.. With his alpha ways he will have you swooning over him PERIOD.

This story broke my heart. Brian has been through hell in his life. His wife, with Abby, his daughter and now Tessa. I was a cheerleader in his corner routing for him the whole time. There are good things that happen in this book and there are bad things, but they are real. And that is what I liked about it. It is not sugar coated HEA .. it is a real HEA .. So thank you Violet for your amazing book. I read that there is more to come with this town. AND I cannot wait to read it.

Does true love only come once in a lifetime? How can you do everything right and still end up with a death sentence? Do you run and hide or do you love life to the fullest?

Brian Sullivan has done everything right. He was the rock his wife Beth needed when she was diagnosed with Huntington's Disease (HD). He stood by her even when she did not remember who he was. He is now the sole caregiver for his daughter Skylar and she is showing signs of having the horrible disease his wife fought for years. He really believed that Abby was the one for him, but she chose his brother Connor in the end. They are still really good friends, but it is not the same. He is so lost and lonely..

Tessa has done everything right. She took care of her sister and father when their HD was at its worst. She worked several jobs to keep them afloat and pay for their medical bills. Her mother walked out on them and left Tessa to pick up the pieces. She loved her family with all her heart and would not have given up her time with them for the world. She has never allowed anyone to get close to her for fear of losing them someday.

What happens when Brian and Tessa cross paths? Will each of them find the one person that can complete them? Could they have another chance at true love? Nobody else understands what it is like loosing someone to HD like they do. Or will this terrible disease drive a wedge between them and keep them from ever loving anyone again?

Violet does an excellent job teaching the reader about this terrible disease and the toll that it takes on the person that has HD as well as how it affects their friends and family. She shows us in this story that no matter how much time you might think you have on this earth, that you should live and love to the fullest. This book had me sobbing at one point and laughing at Tessa and her quirkiness that drove Brian mad. Brian is such a caring, kind soul and to top it off is smokin hot. He is an alpha male warrior when it comes to Tessa. I think his character might be have been inspired by MVD if I had to guess.

This book is about taking chances on love and living life to the fullest even in it's darkest hours. If you like a hero and heroine that are willing to fight for each other and can beat the odds then you will love this wonderful love story.

This is Brian and Tessa’s story.

Finding the Right Girl is my first book by Violet Duke and I am hooked.

Brian is the amazing single father, gorgeous as hell, (hidden) Alpha male. He has this attraction that he can’t explain, but wants to explore. His heart is set on Tessa!

Tessa is a twenty something dynamo! She excels in everything from writing to catering and truly is amazing. She gives her heart to all of her projects- as she does to her friends. She lost her sister and father to Huntington’s and had to grow up much too fast. And her mother SUCKS! But she is not bitter. She is resigned to her life and never expected love…and what Brian offered scares her.

I love the two of them. Tessa is broken- but she’s not. She has had to deal with so much, yet is able to put herself out there and be a source of strength for her friends. When she realizes that they want to be there for her also it is beautiful. She is completely unused to being put first or even considering what she wants-especially when it comes to love. But Brian wants to change that-and does his damnedest to convince her. Brian is a bit out of his element- having only loved two other women, and having lost them both. He is ready for Tessa and what they would have together. Now to convince her!

There are some twists and misunderstanding and definitely some tears (for this reader!!!)! This is a tender love story that has plenty of steam. It also deals with a very serious subject matter- Huntington’s Disease, which is a devastating and terminal. But the author doesn’t beat you over the head with the sad- she provides an insight into how people live with and are affected by the disease. And she empowers her characters to LIVE their life-find love, be happy and truly live.

There are several laugh out loud scenes- especially the entire fling/flinger/flingee scenario!

I found this book to be well written, well researched and a fast read. The story is engaging, the characters believable and completely draw you in, and the world Duke has created is one where you want to stay for a while.

Strongly recommend reading this book- Brian and Tessa’s story is definitely worth giving a piece of your heart to <3

Let me begin by saying that I was on Team Connor while reading the "Nice Girl to Love" trilogy and, yes, I still am on Team Connor BUT Brian Sullivan has made me a believer in the existence of nice guys having it all in a book (because the trend does have a lot of bad boys getting it all).

"Finding the Right Girl" is a spin-off of the popular and well-loved series and it has the poster boy for nice guys, Brian, saving kooky but lovable Tessa Daniels, who he initially met face-to-face in the epilogue of "Choosing the Right Guy" (they had a previous encounter over the phone prior to the meeting), in the first chapter but not sure of what to make of her reaction towards his rescue. These two may seem like polar opposites, like Abby and Connor Sullivan appeared to be in the original trilogy, but there's definite chemistry and they're able to aptly balance each other out.

There's a twist to the story and one that I admit I wasn't expecting because I thought her past alone was already the twist. The unexpectedness is a definite plus for me because being able to predict what's going to happen in a book takes some of the fun out of it at times. Let's just say that this twist had me asking myself what I would do if I were in Brian's situation... Ah, a book that makes you ponder! LOVE IT! ^.^

So yes, I am still firmly a Team Connor member but Brian is truly a male lead character worth loving. The guy is an amazing father and was a wonderful husband to his wife Beth. Tessa was a burst of fresh air and was there to listen to Skylar and truly see how the possibility of having Juvenile Huntington's was affecting her. These two were great together and if anyone deserved a happy ending, it would be Brian and Tessa. ^.^

A beautiful story, deep characters, and a Connor-Abby update (wheeeee!)--what else could I want from "Finding the Right Girl"?! Five stars for this spin-off and a suggestion that you read all four books to truly appreciate each person's story. ♥

ARC Was Given to Blog for Honest Review

When I first read the excerpt of this book, I thought this would be a cute, fun carefree romance/comedy type book. WOW!!! Was I WRONG!!!! I’ve said this before and I’ll say it again. This time actually listen to myself. NEVER! EVER! Assume.

This book far surpassed my expectations. What an amazing, emotional, deeply connected love story this is. It is full of family, love, hope, optimism and important life lessons. Finding The Right Girl had me completely captivated. I was invested from the beginning and it just kept getting better as I turned the pages. You want to talk surprises. Just when I thought I had it figured out Violet threw in another curve that completely changed everything. I loved how unpredictable it was and it kept me on my toes.

Tessa doesn’t take any part of life for granted. She’s beyond selfless with her “pay it forward” type attitude and huge giving heart. She has absolutely no filter and loves deeply, unconditionally and whole-heartedly. Tessa marches to the beat of her own drum. Her problems, situations, emotions and just everything about her made her real. Relatable. That in itself had me connected and invested.

Brian has a very sexy, alpha, protective, love with everything personality. He’s a charming man and the type of father to his daughter that every woman wishes they had. He’s every woman’s dream man, with his caring, off the charts romantic ways. These two, you could tell from the beginning, had a deep connection. They share a bond that you learn about in the book that is pretty important and significant to both of them. You knew, just from their conversations, banter and body language that more would be developing with them.

What Violet brought to life and shed light on in this story, is beyond words. Finding The Right Girl is a true gem. It will have you completely hooked. Laughing, crying (both happy and ugly tears) that will forever keep you on cloud 9. I fully recommend this book to anyone that wants an amazing, different type of romance. I’m FOREVER a fan!!

I received an ARC for an honest review.

I had read the Nice Guy To Love trilogy and LOVED them all so I was eager to read this book and to see Brian get his HEA. You would not believe how EXCITED I was to finally get this book!

I was Team Connor in the first three books and I was pleased that the spin off gave us a little insight into Connor and Abby's lives now. I loved Brian in this book, he definitely has a whole lot more of SEXY ALPHA MALE going on this time and had some DELICIOUSLY HOT moments with Tessa.

Tessa's character is just BEAUTIFUL and SWEET. She has been through so much, losing both her sister and her father to Huntington's and yet she is this strong capable women that just deals with whatever life throws at her. I loved that she is QUIRKY, a bit DIFFERENT and her positive outlook on life.

There are parts in this story that really SURPRISED me, usually when I read a book I can guess whats going to happen but the TWIST that the author wrote into this story is a HUM-DINGER. I genuinely didn't see it coming! This book definitely provoked a whole lot of emotions in me.

Overall I really enjoyed this book and would recommend it for sure. I will definitely be looking out for titles from this author in the future.

I am thankful the author did a Spin-Off to the Nice Guy Series, as Brian deserved another chance at love. Plus, it was nice to read about Abby, Connor, and Skylar again.
Tessa and Brian are a great couple and this was a moving story. Ms. Duke does well with writing about a very sensitive subject, as H.D. is serious. She adds a whole new depth to this romance, and makes it extremely realistic. It was so important to tell the story of Tessa's youth and her relationships with her mom, dad, and loving sister. Without that back story, this book would have not had the same impact it did on me.
Brian loves deeply. Skylar, Tessa and even Abby, are lucky to have him. This story will make you believe in the good of people and it will make you cry.
Though, I do think the past triangle between Connor, Abby, and Brian was brushed over in this storyline. I would have liked to read how they managed to have moved forward from the place they were all at, when we last saw them, at the end of Book 3. I also could not remember if Tessa knew or did not know, about Brian and Abby's relationship. So for these reasons, I rate the book a 4.5 rating.

I really enjoyed this book, it was sweet yet heartbreaking and oh so hopeful! I haven't read any other books from Violet, this is my first. I will say I felt like I was missing information and it was frustrating knowing there are other books before this serries relating to this series and I haven't read them. I kept reading though completely hooked after the first chapter, Brian sounded super sweet and hot! I enjoyed Tessa very much and her struggle to breakout of what to her is the unfortunate norm. It was hard to read about Abby and Connor and not really know what happened, Abby was mentioned just as someone that Brian liked as more than friends, but then now doesn't. A bit more background would have been great, for those who haven't read the other books.
I loved the added parts about Jilly and Skylar and hope to read more about them in a future book, I need to know what happens! I will definitely read more of Violet's books in the future, they are wonderful lighthearted romance mixed with very heavy issues and potential heartbreak. Very good, I give it 5 bright stars.

I already loved the first 3 books in this series. This is Brian's story with Tessa. As much as I loved Abby's story with Connor, I think this has become my favorite one out of the four. This was such an emotional story, dealing with the possibility of Skylar having HD, watching how they all handle the situation. I loved watching Brian and Tessa's story unfold along with all of those very hot sex scenes. Brian so deserves some happiness in his life and so does Tessa. There were times while reading that I was laughing and times I was crying. So if you read the first 3, then you definitely need to read this one. Watching Brian and Tessa fall in love and work through all of their problems was just so heartwarming. I absolutely loved the way Violet ended this series with some surprises for us. If you are even remotely curious, read the book. I promise, you will not be disappointed. I received an copy of this book for an honest review.

Brian went through a horrible traumatic heartbreaking loss of his wife. With just getting over the fact that the next person he wanted to be with after getting over this loss picked his brother over him, he finds he is always the nice guy. He is thinking that maybe he should take on his brother’s old motto, an affair a month.

Tessa would be Brian’s polar opposite. She dresses is crazy fashio, does whatever she feels at any given moment and isn't shy about saying what she thinks. She is what some would call a workaholic also spending any free time helping her friends and volunteering. Tessa is a baker and understands the way Brian feels about the loss of his wife. Brian suggests they have an affair, she agrees hoping her heart doesn't get involved.

I completely loved this story. This isn't a simple love story at all. But a story about unconditional love, hope and a future. I cried, laughed and thoroughly smiled through the entire book.

Brian----Can he be real, please!

What can I say about this book! Brian is one of the greatest men I have had the chance to read about.....he lets nothing get in the way of what he wants and he never gives up. I think it is great that he has a fling with someone who actually understands all the challenges in life he has had to deal with and can relate. He lost his wife to HD and his daughter may have to gene. The fling girl has lost her sister and father both to HD. She makes him laugh and the attraction and their personalities are just great. I don't know where she finds the strength to be happy and live life to the fullest considering everything she has been thru in here life because, losing her sister and father is just the tip of the iceberg of what this girls has put up with in her life. Great read, a little emotional at times but what a great ending!

Brian + Tessa = Fun ☺

Oh my goodness! I just love Tessa! I was so happy Brian found someone. Not only did Tessa help Brian in so many she also helped Skylar. I also love that Brian wasn't letting her go just because she was afraid to have a relationship. Tessa and Brian were everything. I really enjoyed their love story. ❤❤❤

I really loved this story. In the previous books, Brian has lost his two previous loves so I was hoping that this one would give us his perfect match. I was not disappointed. This was a sweet story with some steamy parts but I loved Brian. The story revolves around Huntington's Disease and how different people are effected by it. It was beautifully written. Highly recommend.

I LOVE, LOVE, LOVED this love story and am giving it 5 BIG, BRIGHT stars! If you root for the nice (but totally HOT) guy to win, you’ll be rooting for Brian Sullivan. Brian is a teacher and the father of a teenage daughter. He hasn't been so lucky in love, though. He lost his first love to Huntington’s and his second to his brother. He wants to date, but doesn't think he can do the serious thing right now.

Enter Tessa. She also has a history of Huntington’s, as she has recently lost her sister and father to the disease. She has been so busy taking care of everyone else in her life that a personal life is the farthest thing from her mind. She works with Brian’s brother, and isn't sure what to make of the way Brian makes her feel when she sees him or hears his voice.

The thing that drew me into their relationship, and had me rooting for them, was the real experiences they go through, including Tessa giving advice to Brian’s daughter about getting (or not getting) the gene test for Huntington’s. Their story tugs at your heart strings, drawing you into the life of families dealing with genetic diseases, and the decisions they have to make.

*ARC given for an honest review.

A heart wrenching love story. I don't think I have ever cried so much while reading a book but, I laughed and snickered just as much I think. Tessa is amazing and we all should take a page out the character Violet created you will be inspired after reading this spin-off and I love when authors intertwine past characters Conner, Tessa are so much a part of the story. Brian finally gets a chance a chance to find love and its nothing like the past and you cant wait to find out how it unfolds. Brian & Tessa don't make it easy for themselves but you will be in awe as to what people will go through for love and the chance to be that one person you think of immediately to call when you've had the worst day or the best day.

2.5 stars rounded up. this was tough to rate. the writing was fine; it was a quick read. the story was a strange mixture of light-hearted contemporary romance fare with a heaping side of very heavy illness-related stuff; somehow, the way it was done, those two aspects didn't really mix well for me. I also really dislike books where the characters' internal monologue right at the beginning of the book starts talking about how good-looking, attractive, etc the other character is. it feels like taking the easy way out - don't tell me about washboard abs and how they make you want to jump the character, give me dialogue and interaction between the two characters that makes me feel how attracted they are to each other and gives the relationship a real foundation. maybe that's just me though.

LOVED this book! Everything I didn't feel between Brian and Abby in the previous books, I felt between Brian and Tessa!
I loved how they wound each other up, and how they would discuss everything rationally (or as rationally as possible). Brian keeping an open mind to Tessa's ideas about what Skylar should do and Tessa respecting Brian's decisions in those instances.
The fierce love Brian feels for Tessa is so clear on the pages. And how she tried to protect them by keeping her distance. Loved the flinging rules and the fact that he saw right through them!
This was a favorite of mine!

Ahhhh Violet Duke never disappoints! I`ve really enjoyed reading this book!

When I heard Brian would get his story and HEA I was so excited! I really like him! And Tessa...wow this woman is so strong, independent woman. But she endured so much, I really felt for her. And those two together are sizzling hot! Their chemistry is amazing! Tess and Brian`s relationship begins as a fling. They met at the wedding and the attraction is mutual. But can they leave their relationship just as a fling?

This is a perfect spin off! This book reminded my why I love to be a bookworm! Perfect 5!

This was a great story. Both Tessa and Brian grieving over the loss of loved ones with the very same illness, and even though they are still coping they find that they both need each other to complete the emptiness they both feel. Love Tessa strong, but yet very lonely with no one to really care for just her she has a lot of spunk and Brian seems such a nice guy with dominating tendencies that Tessa brings out. Also love the twist and turns in the story.

This was a great continuation of the Nice Girl to Love series. Brian is a great character. He is so resilient and strong, to have gone through all that he has in his life. Tessa is a ball of energy, so outgoing and independent. I think they were a great match, complimenting each other so well. Their relationship was very emotional, with lots if ups and downs, yet so full of hope. I really liked this book and definitely recommend it.

This's one of the best romantic stories I have read, finally Brian has found his right girl. Tessa is head over heels with Brian but will her secret ruin everything they've hoped for?

One remark I didn't like the ending because I want more, more and more!!

Loved!

This is Brian and Tessa's story and I loved reading every minute of it.

After Brian's brother, Connor, married his best friend, Abby, he decides to focus on his teenage daughter's medical condition. Whether or not Skylar has Huntington's Disease, Skylar has been learning about the disease through Tessa.

Tessa lost first her sister to the disease when she was still a teenager, then her father when she was 20. She works at the HD nursery home for kids who have the disease. She keeps them positive and makes sure that they aren't alone while they are struggling.

Brian is intrigued by Tessa. She's always so upbeat and positive. Skylar really relates to her because she needs a woman to talk to, not just her dad.

Soon the couple cross lines they can't ignore. That's when Tessa realizes that she needs to tell Brian about herself so he can move on. But this alpha male isn't having it.

Can he convince her that they can have a future together?

A must read!

Wonderful love story

I just loved Tessa! She is a kick ass woman and has become one of my favorite female characters! This woman has endured so much sadness, heartbreak and loss in her life and yet she doesn’t let it destroy her. She has an amazing outlook on life and gives so much of herself to help others.

Brian and Tessa are total opposites and that adds to the fun of watching these two find their way past annoyance with one another to friendship and love. Unfortunately both of them have some pretty deep scars from their past that just might keep them from finding true happiness.

This is my favorite of the Can't Resist Series. I like Tessa and her quirkiness. She is kind, sensitive and scared. In my opinion Finding the Right Girl is a tearjerker. There are things that are mentioned and I knew where things were going. I finished the book to see if I was correct and I was. I felt Tessa's struggles and wanting to do the right thing. Sometimes Brian overprotectiveness was too much. Yes, Skylar is young yet she understands what is going on. I get Brian is just trying to protect his daughter, I appreciated that. I liked Tessa and Brian together. Sometimes Finding the Right Girl is heavy and other times it's light hearted. I enjoyed it.

Ended great

So happy that Brian found another lone be in his life. I kind of guessed it would be Tessa because the way Connor and Abbys story ended but this story had so many different twists and turn before they could have there forever!

SPOILER..

I wasn’t expecting Tessa to have the HD disease also. Then also coming back and being pregnant with twins I’m not sure how Brian figure that out when she left the picnic that she was pregnant maybe because Abby announced that her and Connor were pregnant also.

Over all great story!

After finishing the first three books in the Can't Resist series I was ready for number 4. It starts off with heartbreak and friendship and family in upheaval. AS with all her books Violet Duke brings the characters to life and puts you in the middle of their drama which makes for a fantastic read. I would recommend this series to all. I have laughed, cried, and awwwed while reading each of them.

The way this one ended breaks my heart, I hope this is not the end.

Love story with a very tragic spin but full of laughter and hope and strength, two people just made for each other and a background that made me cry and be thankful for being healthy and having what I need and my family is healthy too. Great book!
