"You’re mine, Jala. And no matter how long it takes, I swear to you, I will reclaim you. I will make you beg to be mine again."

This was ONE of the best book I read in 2014. Olivia Gates is the top #1 of my contemporary romance authors.
Jala and Mohab had a romance 6 years ago. When they broke up he told her that one day they will back together. So now Mohab is determined to have Jala again. He asks for her hand in marriage to her brother the king of Judar Kamal Aal Masood. Mohab explains Kamal that the ONLY WAY to end the political problems of their kingdoms is getting married to Jala! The truth is that he ADORES Jala and doesn't want to lose her.
This story has all the elements I like to find in a romantic book: alfa male hero, beautiful heroine, lots of angst, hero and heroine's POV, great seduction, hot sex scenes and so on.
Mohab is UNFORGETTABLE, he is "Sex in legs" as my friend Jenny says ;) One of my favorite heros by this author

“Sure. It’s my fault.” He let her put distance between them this time. “There’s no fault here. Just the phenomenon that exists between us, this absolute physical affinity we share. But I really didn’t intend to kiss you.”
“Kiss me? That’s what you call a kiss?”
A rough huff of self-deprecation escaped him.
“So I almost took you standing up, probably would have, not giving a second thought that we’re in the middle of your brother’s stateroom, if you hadn’t stopped me. You have that effect on me. I see you and I can only think of pleasuring you.”

You can read the love story between Kamal Aal Massod and Aliyah in the third book of the serie THRONE OF JUDAR.

have just finished to re-read this love story and it didn't change my last review at all. Mohab is still a hottie 🔥 Jala is a stubborn 🙈 at times, but she is the one for him 💯 I love 💖 this couple.

There's a reason why Olivia Gates is one of my favourite authors and this book is just another one of them.
This story takes us into the world of Mohab and Jala and brings its into a love so strong that neither a family feud nor time can diminish it.
I always fall in love with Olivia's heros. They're so delicious! And her heroines are always so strong and loveable and Jala is no exception. Even after a somewhat difficult life she still has dignity and strength.

A fabulous read and I recommend it to all lovers of romance!

I couldn't have asked for a more smitten and hopelessly-devoted hero in Mohab.

Jala on the other hand? Her unwillingness to move forward with Mohab and accept his attempts at atonement wore down my patience. Jala was supposedly SO astute yet had a difficult time believing Mohab loved her like she loved him. Really? In light of all the evidence Mohab clearly loved her to the point of obsession!

I also struggled with the slow pacing during the first-half of the book and the flowery, purple prose. Mohab's awesomeness alone couldn't make up for these flaws.

Aunque bastante olvidable.

I have to say that Olivia Gates is my go to girl for hot alpha's with high levels of fidelity. Even a reunion romance is safe as houses because the only place these guys are gonna spill their seed is on the desert sands while pining for their lost love. These are my kind of heroes in a world where the moment the heroine is out the door, so many heroes go and lose themselves in another woman. This is not the love I'm gonna trust down the track when I'm tired from minding the kids and he's staying late at work...I want a man who cannot even look at another woman in THAT way once he's spotted his heroine. Fantasy...yeah I admit it...but that's what I'm paying for on a trip to Romancelandia.

Mohad is just adorable. He's been the security guy for his country and he's had to kill people without remorse to save innocents. One of those innocents six years ago was Jala, the youngest sister of the King of Judah who we met a while back. They had a thing and then Jala found out that their meeting after the rescue was not a coincidence. When she found out the truth, she didn't wait to ask Mohad for his side of things (stupid we know but the girl was totes devastated and there was quite a bit of truth mixed with the lies.)

Six years later, Mohad has a plan to get her back. It's a good plan and would have worked if Jala didn't have a bit of a secret that would blow up in his face.

This wasn't a perfect story. Jala annoyed me at times and I'm not sure if she really took responsibility for her actions right to the end. But Mohad totally had me enthralled. This was a man not afraid to show his emotions and it's clear to everyone, even Jala in the end what his true feelings are. HE MADE ME CRY. I didn't want to but I couldn't help it. The ending was soooo...yeah. You know...

PS. Cats...nods.

PPS. Olivia Gates is the modern queen of purple prose. Over the top but I quite like it. Just saying for those who are sensitive about such things.

I am a bit on the fence about this book. There were so many secrets and manipulations that they become tangled together and I would have to go back and reread to clarify if this was a repeat from earlier or a new-to-light problem. Simply put, I found it very confusing and never did feel I had a grasp of understanding. I also struggled with the slow pace of the story. To me, it seemed to drag throughout and then abruptly ended as I searched for the next chapter.

I will say that I love how the H and h loved each other deeply and it was a major plus that during their six-year separation neither one had been intimate with anyone else. That was a real positive spin than the usual man-whore who hardly waits to shut the door as the woman leaves to begin bed-hopping. My heart bled for the heroine for all she went through alone. It was good to see, for a change, a man who deeply regretted what he had done and the realization that he came so close to completely destroying her. He did a fine job of groveling, probably the best I have read.

I would have been much happier and given a higher rating if at the end the medical issue had been successfully resolved and things would work as normal. (I’m trying not to give it away.) After looking for the next book in the series and realizing that this was the final book I was saddened not to have had the opportunity to see if medical science could have repaired the problem.

I love Olivia Gates and most all of her books, but I found this book to just be okay.

4 stars ...
H and h have history and their chemistry of off the charts. Its obvious from the start that H is madly in love with h, is insecure as he believes she is stronger and can make do without him. h is a cool customer, revealing little, giving no quarter and very cautious. Often she appears rather cruel but she has her reasons and they came out of the blue; author didn't drop any hints from the beginning but her reasons are tragic and they are justified ...
fats moving plot, great H and h, great chemistry and a good resolution
1 star extra for .... hold your breath ...
H has 4 cats; he takes them every where he goes on his plane and they are his family, his children ... he sweet and baby talks to them too ...
Kitties bond well with h and both H and h firmly believe they are cat slaves and are happy to be so ... at the end, when h is majorly upset, H tells her that they are her family; H, h and their furry babies ... and they will have more babies; of the furry and human variety both ...
One extra star for the cats alone ...

The read as the title suggests is about Mohab Aal Ghaanem, who once he had his Princess, Jala, but a bitter feud between their families caused him to lose her, and now he has to do everything he can to seduce her back into his life.

But Jala is not so sure she wants to marry the man who had betrayed her trust , she does not however count on Mohab not only being irresistible but dead set on bringing home his Princess.

This was a short read, the kind that fits nicely into a few stolen reading hours in the late afternoon. I found the characters well crafted and very touching. The author added a little blackmail to spice things up and keep my attention.

What grabbed my attention the most was that Mohab was not arrogant as the hero's in these reads usually are, he was more sweet, kind and I honesty felt that he was genuinely upset at this betrayal and I just loved how he pushes every button he can to get Jala back, yet does so with truly clarity and sincerity.

Jala was kind and sweet and I felt sorry for her having to try and figure out if Mohab was honestly trying to gain her back and if his apology was real or simply part of a plan. Through both character the author showed that if we let the past hold us back from trying to trust someone again, it can have dire consequences.

Yes they hurt you, yes they destroyed your trust, but is holding them to that one error in judgement in life, worth the heartache and despair? Or is letting go and moving on less exhausting?

I recommend this read for all fans of Olivia Gates reads, the author tells a stunning story of old flames being reignited .

This is a story of a love a so strong Mohab has loved Jala for many years to the point of almost obession he would never do anything intentionally to hurt her but Jala is also a strong willed woman and her love for Mohab is also very strong and when she leaves him after a torid affair for 5 months it takes Mohab many years to get her back but she has a secret that she must keep from him. I loved this story it is emotional and hot as two people finally find the strength to trust the scenery and wedding ceremony are wonderful this one will have you turning the pages and up late.

Good reunion story. Six years earlier, Jala and Mohab had met when he rescued her and his cousin during a hostage crisis. A short time later he used deceptive means to keep his cousin away from her, making it easier for him to be with her. Their relationship was passionate and intense, but when Jala found out what Mohab had done her feelings of betrayal ran deep and she broke things off.

Six years later Mohab uses her desire to prevent a war over his land's oil to convince her to marry him. He is determined to show her how much he still loves her and make up for his earlier actions. The chemistry between them is explosive and he's sure that it's an indication of her feelings for him too. Jala does care for him, but she's not convinced that his declarations of love are real or if he's just playing a part to get his way. But even if he's telling the truth, she has her own secrets that could destroy any chance they have for happiness.

I had conflicted feelings for Mohab at the beginning. He is definitely an alpha male, strong, intelligent, and very good at his black ops/security profession. His love for Jala at times felt more like obsession, and his actions almost stalkerish. I completely understood why she freaked out on him and left him. He has kept tabs on her after all this time and uses what he knows to get close to her again. Still felt a little bit creepy, but I began to see that he really did love her. He nearly repeated history by using deception to get them together, but came to his senses and realized that the only way to win her was to be honest with her. I really liked seeing him show his love for her in so many ways. He also has a very kind and sensitive side that came out when he introduced Jala to his pets - I loved seeing him with all those cats. He also put together an incredible wedding. I really started to feel for him as he tried everything to win Jala back. His pain when he found out just what was holding her back was heart wrenching. I loved the ending and seeing just how far he would go to finally win her over.

As the youngest in her family, and the only girl, Jala had always felt a bit like an outsider. With three older and very protective brothers, her teen years had been spent under constant surveillance. When she was finally able to break free, her privacy and her independence were very important to her. The intensity of her initial relationship with Mohab was overwhelming and when she found out what he had done she had to break things off or fear losing herself. After telling him she never wanted to see him again, she fled from him. Six years later she is furious to find out she has been manipulated into seeing him again. The fire between them still burns hot and she loses control whenever they are together. She doesn't want to give in to his demands, but she feels she has to in order to prevent a war. Jala finds it hard to resist the efforts Mohab is making to show her how he feels, but she still isn't sure that she can trust what he says. She realizes that her love for him has never died, and wants so much to make a life with him. She feels that it is impossible and tries to break things off again, but his time he won't go. I loved seeing her finally accept the truth of his feelings and forgive him for the hurt he had caused her.

When a couple gets another opportunity to revive the love they once shared, I always look forward to seeing what the future holds in store for them. And if the author is Olivia Gates, then I know the journey will be filled with lots of passion plus challenging dilemmas. SEDUCING HIS PRINCESS is an enchanting romance with spirited characters and one exciting scenario after another.

Although Jala Aal Masood had made the decision to marry Mohab Aal Ghaanem, things did not previously work out for them and they have not been together in six years. They never told others about their relationship because there has been a long-standing dispute between their families. Now the disagreement is becoming even more serious, and Mohab believes he has the solution to ending the escalating feud and possibly getting Jala back in his life.

After giving his proposal to her brother, Mohab hopes the woman he has never stopped loving will agree to his offer of marriage. Not only will it hopefully bring peace to both of their countries, it would make Jala his wife, a notion he has never given up on fulfilling. When she hears about his idea, she is ready to object until every part of the arrangement is explained. Now her life is once again very complicated.

Visually descriptive narrative is a trademark of Olivia Gates, and SEDUCING HIS PRINCESS is overflowing with her expressive talent. From the images depicted in every setting to words used in conveying the feelings of a character, Ms. Gates gets the point across in dramatic style. Though the latest book in the Married by Royal Decree miniseries takes place in a fictional desert kingdom, I felt like the location just has to be real because such meticulous attention is given to every detail. It is repeatedly like I am right there experiencing the moment with the characters. Also, I know the dialogue will be particularly colorful when I read a story by this author. The inclusion of foreign words spoken in the native language just adds to the authenticity of the novel.

The main couple in the book is especially enjoyable. While Mohab is an alpha male in most instances, he also has a softer side that is shown in several surprising ways and often made me smile. His lusty desire for Jala is extremely powerful, and I was very aware of his hurt feelings when she scorned him plus could sense his joy if she gave in to the yearning between them. Ms. Gates certainly knows how to write a love scene with profound emotions and fiery passions, and this couple gets to prove just how much they truly crave each other quite a few times, much to my delight. Between misunderstandings, secrets and political dealings, Mohab and Jala will have much to overcome before their relationship can ever last. SEDUCING HIS PRINCESS is a beautifully told second chance at romance.

I was giving this book as an ARC for an honest review.

This is the story of Mohab Aal Ghaanem and Jala Aal Mosood. Mohab has loved Jala from the moment he first seen her. But because of a family feud he could never approach her. The depth of this love story will pull at you heart strings so be prepared.

Haka is caught in a hostage situation with Najeeb, Mohab has to make a choice save his crown prince or the woman he loves. When Jala and Najeeb find themselves getting close after the hostage situation. The King sends Mohab in to separate them. This is finally the opportunity for Mohab to get close to Jala his true love.

It works and Mohab and Jala fall in love and have a hot a heavy relationship. The author has given the characters such a strong connections that neither one of them is able to really handle the feelings that they have for each other. Mohab need and jealousy drives him to keep Najeeb away but when he comes back and tells Jala of Mohab's deception. She than breaks it off with him. Which breaks his heart. This is a strong man able to kill people with his bear hands but will lose all control for the love of this one woman. Mohab vows to one day get her back.

Fast forward six years later and his chance has finally come again. As a part of a peace treaty he wants Jala as his bride. Will she forgive him. When the two of them see each other again after all this time it's like fire raging through their blood, they can't stay away from each other.

With Jala's confusion still in the forefront the author takes us on her journey of acceptance and daily struggle, fighting her feelings for Mohab because she can't stay away and Mohab doing everything possible for her to forgive him so that she'll never leave again. By the end of the story my heart was broken because she still has a secret that she has not shared with him and his revelation blow me away.

What will happen you will have to read and see. But this is one couple whose love has stood the test of time and their journey back to each other is filled with love, some pain, hot seductions, steamy love scenes and all out alpha male and his heart (his princess).

From the opening line the story of Mohab and Jala grabs you and won't let you go! Their story with their explosive breakup when Jala walks out on Mohab and disappears for several years. Tricked by her brother the king into returning to her home, Jala is confronted with the ultimatum of marrying Mohab who is now king in his own right of a small kingdom between hers and his uncle's or face a war over oil rights which would destroy everyone. Little does Jala know that Mohab put her brother up to the demand although the war threat was very real. As the two star-crossed lovers dance around each other, their pasts are slowly revealed and the truth comes out about what happened on that awful night when Jala left Mohab. Mohab, a very definite alpha male, wanted to control everything but he finally realizes that he can't with Jala, who zealously guards her independence. Jala doesn't give in but she does realize she has a responsibility to her people.

Each page of the story exudes sensuality. Mohab and Jala are so attracted to each other that they combust whenever they are in the same room! My only regret is that I read the digital version; I wish I had a paperback so I could look at the covers, feel the pages and get the tactile feel of the story.

I love stories where people who loved before get back together. Mohab is determined to win back Jala and it definitely shows. This is a very short read, that’s perfect for a quick pick me up read that leaves that happy glow behind. It’s a superb example of what Ms. Gates is great at, creating interesting characters that are well written and easy to invest in.

Mohab is sweet, kind and I loved his determined attitude when it comes to getting Jala back. Jala was also sweet and I like that I also see the real hurt that the betrayal caused and I liked that she questioned his sincerity.

There felt like there was a lesson about letting the past go and forgiveness is about letting go of pain. I really recommend this story. I also fully admit that I’m a huge fan of Ms. Gates and read pretty much everything she writes.

I really enjoyed Seducing His Princess! This is a great second chance romance and I loved the how the background of a family feud helped to bring Mohab and Jala back together. Mohab is tall, sexy, commanding alpha male who is determined to get Jala back. Jala is an intelligent woman who has devoted her life to humanitarian work. Mohab learned his lesson from their previous relationship and is insistent on full disclosure this time around. He absolutely worships and cherishes Jala. I loved how Jala challenged Mohab and was his equal in many ways. I loved their banter and their chemistry! It was good to see another side of Mohab with his pets. While this is the third book in the series, it can be read as a standalone. I loved seeing Kamal and Aliyah again (Throne of Judar series)!

In this wonderfully written story of Olivia Gates, you won't be able to resist falling for the hero. He's quite a character, very well defined by the author, of course, but so unpredictable! I love it when a character manages to surprise me,  which is not easy to do, believe me.

Also, the heroine of the story is a very strong, capable woman, who has managed to blossom outside of such a male dominated world, taking charge or her life,  enjoying her independence while also having her brothers wrapped around her little finger.

This is a story of a man and a woman brought together by fate, separated by destiny, and reunited by sheer luck. It is a story that you don't want to miss, full of passion from beginning to end, and of course, love.

Thank you, Olivia, for yet another awesome story. You will never cease to amaze me.

I really loved this one. It's the third book in Married by Royal Decree series. Mohab won me over for the pets he has and how he treats them. But what makes you fall in love with him is how feels for Jala. Makes you wish you can find a Mohab of your own. The story flows very well and it's hard to put this one down. I highly recommend reading this one. Jala and Mohab have a past that ended on not so pleasant terms. Mohab will do anything to have Jala back in his life, but the deal he proposes to Jala is crazy or is it? Jala puts on she's over Mohab, but when thrown back in with him feelings that were thought to be gone resurface. Can Mohab take this second chance with Jala and make it last forever or will past transgressions cause a rip that can't be mended?

While there are many talented authors who are responsible for books in the Harlequin Desire line, Olivia Gates is truly in a class by herself when it comes to creating heroes, and Mohab is the perfect example of that. Here we have a true alpha male in every way: renowned for his special forces-related skills; keenly intelligent and a master planner; ultra-confident; and, as is a hallmark of all of Ms. Gates’ heroes, completely and utterly focused on, and loyal to, his heroine. (In terms of the latter, there just aren’t any other authors who even come close to making their heroes as consistently loyal to the women they love, and that’s a quality of Ms. Gates’ work that I truly appreciate.)

While there is some manipulation and miscommunication (which he later makes up for with real honesty even when it’s to his detriment), a mistake or two is made, and some less-than-pleasant words are exchanged – all of which tends to happen in books in this line – Mohab is truly different in that, for all of his special forces training and skills (and the requisite need to compartmentalize and shut off his emotions), he is actually quite open with his feelings when it comes to Jala – mostly, in terms of how much he wants her and wants to be with her, and then later on, the love he feels for her – and…for his cats. It’s not often that I’ve read of a hero who was so devoted to his “babies,” and while it could verge on being a bit over-the-top at times, it was mostly quite sweet and poignant, especially given how they are the only family he has had for so long.

For her part, Jala is strong, intelligent, and doesn’t hesitate to stand up for herself. She’s gone through quite a lot of pain and trauma courtesy of the first of the two main issues that she has with Mohab, and that colors not only her interaction with him, but also her life in general, and the role she plays in the second of the aforementioned main issues. It’s all understandable, and it results in a palpable bit of pain near the end – the tugging at the heartstrings a reader feels when the couple for whom he or she has been rooting is torn apart.

This is another area in which Olivia Gates is a true master: the final big misunderstanding is a hallmark of books in this genre, but she makes readers invest so much in her characters and their love stories that that turn of events just hits you, and you really feel the pain in which she mires her heroes and heroines. This book is not an exception to that rule, as you care for and sympathize with Mohab and Jala – this couple who generates so much heat and passion, tenderness, and all-consuming love – and turn the pages as fast as you can so that you can find out how everything gets resolved.

There is some political intrigue in this book, and quite a lot is made of Mohab becoming king and the implications of that for the region. While all of that is important, of course, it is a little on the formulaic side to me, so the real highlight of the book (and this is as it should be, in my view) is the relationship between Mohab and Jala, and it is hot and powerful and a true joy to read. I’ve been a fan of her work for quite some time, and somehow, Olivia Gates’ books just keep getting better and better.

3.5****stars

This was a very nice, simple and quick read. Although I gave it 3.5***stars it was still very much likeable for me, as it wasn't great, but it wasn't bad either.

This story had a little blackmail, unfinished business and love wrapped into a read that makes the reader falls in love with both characters. Mohab was not aggressive, and that was ok for me. What made me fall for his character was his love and need to be with this woman he still felt a connection to after six years and her betrayal. I found Mohab to be very sweet and sometimes aggressiveness isn't needed as he displays in this story, all he used was a little manipulation. Jala's character was sweet as well. Her character was very simple for me, but it went well with Mohab's character.

Overall the author gave us lovable characters, a sweet story and a nice finish that shows sometimes love means making sacrifices.

Mohab Aal Ghaanam once had the love of this life, Jala Aal Masood, and lost her. Now he has the means to get her back as he had sworn all those years ago. As a new king, he has some leverage to get her to marry him and thus prevent a feud from erupting between their two kingdoms.

When Mohab rescued her six years ago, Jala felt so much for him only to find herself betrayed. Now Mohab is trying to force her to marry and while Jala finds herself still desiring Mohab, She is not sure she can trust him. Not only that Jala has a few secrets of her that may jeopardize any marriage.

Politics makes itself felt in more ways than one. Both Mohab and Jala found that politics touched their lives in ways they never dreamed it would. Now they have a chance together but first they must confront their pasts.

Olivia Gates once again pens an exciting, tense story of two people in love but forced apart by circumstances and distrust. Bringing them together was a thing a beauty that only Olivia Gates can pull off with delight and awe. Highly romantic and filled with twists and turns, Seducing His Princess will have you on the edge of your seat as you keep reading to see what happens next. Olivia Gates is her own princess, the Princess of Romance. (single titles dot com)

I had my finals going on from college when I had gotten this book. After that I didn’t had chance to read the book until just now. And only one word I can say to describe this book is OMG!!! The title of the book is one eye catching and the story of Mohab and Jala is beautiful. I love the chemistry between those two and Jala’s resistances of Mohab’s charms were very charming and captivating. Kamal as a king and brother was a strong character who was thinking things thoroughly for his sister’s welfare and about his people and kingdom’s benefits. The part of Mohab having kittens was described so beautifully that I could imagine the character of Mohab, Jala and kittens together. Overall, Olivia Gates has done once again a great job writing this book and I have fallen love with this book. I can’t tell which book is my favorite anymore from Olivia Gates but I always reread them again and again whenever I have chance. I would recommend this book for all the reader out there who is interested in romantic reading. This book is definitely worth it to read it. I just wish it could have a bit more romantic chapter in the end but all the stories do come to end. Can’t wait for the next book from Olivia Gates.

In Seducing His Princess by Olivia Gates, Six year ago Mohab Aal Ghaanem risked his life to save princess Jala. But a bitter feud between their families caused him to lose her.

After igniting her desires, Mohab then betrayed princess Jala Aal Masood’s trust, which makes her afraid to trust him again. What she doesn’t know is that Mohab is not only irresistible, but also determined to fulfill his parting pledge to her to make her his wife.

Now Mohab will be ruthless if he has to and blackmail her forcing her into a sham marriage. But Mohab is not your normal arrogant and ruthless hero, no, he is sweet and kind but he will push whatever button he has to in order to get Jala back.

Jala will have a tough road trying to figure out if Mohab truly wants her back or if some plan for a scheme. But she will have to take a risk in order to have a second chance with the man she still wants, but secrets may be revealed that could also lead to heartbreak. Only their love and Mohab’s determination will be able to keep them together.

Second chances are not always easy but are always sweet and great in the end, and this one is no exception.

I had one problem with the book, the story is a spin-off from a previous series of the same author, but in several moments some moments of the past were quoted and it got me a little confused. It felt strange for me to read a follow-up, without knowing there was something previous affecting the way Jala think and act.

I liked the couple and thought it was super cute to follow them reconnect. Mohab was a nice guy and an extra hot special ops kinda guy, but now he just became a king and needs to marry Jala, because he loves her. See he's cute, but Jala needed a little push in the right direction, and her brother did that so well.

They had a rough path, but we can see that in reality there's more chemistry between them than ever, they just need to find some time to discuss feelings.

Seducing His Princess is the third book in Olivia Gates’ Married by Royal Decree series. I love books where a couple gets a second chance at love and Jala and Mohab have that second chance. I was hooked from the opening with Jala and Mohab’s break-up. Six years later they are brought together and through a series of events realize how much they truly love one another. They have a lot to overcome but they do find their happily ever after. Seducing His Princess is a great addition to the Married by Royal Decree series. I highly recommend it.
