What an ending to a Fan-Freaking-Tastic Series, all three books were Action-Packed Adventure, Loyalty, Hate, Love, Wickedly Hot Scenes with Vivid Intimacy. With a powerful love that bonds between mates. Definitely a must-read series.
Kaitlyn Winston aka: Kait is a twenty-two year old human that lives in California but she wanted to get away from from her grandmother that was so bitter and cruel, she went back to her beloved Smokies. Getting a job at the Durham Ranch was just spectacular, she couldn't believe her luck. She loved horses, to be able to be on this Ranch and train them was just awesome. Then she met the third brother OMG she didn't know if she could stand up, her legs were shaking so bad he was more than a hunk he was a God. A domineering one at that but she didn't have to take it she could stand up for herself, or could she? And then she got the bad news.
Micah Durham is a Alpha Red Wolf Shifter with his brothers Sergius and Jaxon, they live on a farm in the Smoky Mountains raising thoroughbred horses. They also help the local sheriff with things as they are well know trackers, plus sheriff knows their wolf shifters. No way was Micah going to have a mate not with the killings their enemy was doing. It's okay for his brother's he loved their wives, they would protect them with their lives, he still didn't want a mate. You can't fight fate and when it comes knocking it's over for you there is no choice. Everything in your life is turning upside down, if you can breathe and hopefully talk. Which is why Micah turned around and took off cussing up into the sky, he knew he met his fated mate.
Keeton McKinney is a Powerful Vampire who is tired of sharing his land with the wolves, he wants it back. It's taken him six months to heal from his last encounter with the Durham brothers. He was seething in that time, through all the pain his hatred grew, he knew revenge would be sweet and he would get his land.

This being the last book in the series, it was good. I really enjoyed this series it defiantly had a great story, characters were great, and kept me waiting more. I would highly recommend! Wish this wasn't the last of the series though...

I loved this series. This was the best one in the series. I wish the books continued with the farm in Calif and we find out what happens with George and Enrique.

Freedom In The Smokies is the brilliant final book in the Durham Wolves series. In this book, we get Micah’s story. He has watched his two brothers find mates and while he is pretty adamant that he doesn’t’ want to find his mate, fate decides it is finally his turn.
Kaitlyn Winston has finally escaped her Grandmother’s home in California and she has returned to the Smoky Mountains. She happens to see an old advertisement for help on a horse farm so she takes a chance and shows up at the Durham’s cabin. She is hired immediately but on the condition that Micah approves. You can imagine his response when he walks into the barn to find Kaitlyn working with the horses and he realizes she is his mate. With the vampire (McKinney) lurking about the timing couldn’t be worse.
Kaitlyn and Micah burn up the pages. Their relationship is intense and passionate. Micah is of course on the dominant side and Kaitlyn has never experienced the joys of being with a man. Micah teaches her and she can’t get enough of him!
The final battle between the wolves and the vampire is pretty awesome. There is a happily-ever-after for each pair of mates that made me smile.

Solid 4.5 start
I really liked how Micah met Kaitlyn literally straight away in this book and was aware of what they were. It was also good to lean a lot more about her than we did with the other ladies as it kept the series fresh and not repetitive. I was excited but also sad this was the last book in the series and it was a tense time working out what Keeton would do next or how the book would finish. Over all I just wish each book was a little bit longer so we got to know everyone a bit more, but still each book was a great read.

This was such a great series! All the brothers were amazingly dominant! I liked that Kaitlyn was the only one of the three women that didn't need to be rescued by one of the brothers, although figuratively she was saved by all of them when she was given the horse training job and by Micah in particular when he had the final say and let her (his mate) stay. This was hard to put down! Good story and very steamy!

Having read all 3 books in this series & they provide consistently good reads. As the final book, there is probably less 'story' here than in the others but I don't feel that it's the weakest book. I liked the character of Micah but for someone who apparently knew about shifters, Kaitlyn didnt seem to know what it would mean to be mated to one. Overall, I preferred this book to Book 2 & would happily read more from this author.

Micah & Kaitlyn's story was a great finale for this series. The background story we got on Kaitlyn is one of my favorites, too! I really loved this story, but can't talk about several of the scenes I adored because I don't want to spoil those parts of the story! :) I highly recommend this series & especially this final book. But, really, I've enjoyed nearly every story I've read by this author, so good track record! ; )

The Durham Wolves series has been one of the greatest series I have read in all my books. I can only hope that there are more stories to come from the series as I would like to know how the guys handle fatherhood and if it makes a little comes along in the Smokies for this family. And if James Harden ever finds himself a woman to love of his own.

Sexy shifter story
Seemed to be a good plot, but it was the third book in the series so pretty sure I missed a lot of clues just starting with this one. Way too !ugh descriptions of sex scenes for my taste. How many times do you have to describe it in so many ways? Not my cup of tea.

Micah and Kaitlyn...
I enjoyed reading the story of Micah and Kaitlyn. Kaitlyn as a 10 year old had gone though a lot of tragedy in her life. Running away from her grandmother, as her mother did. How Micah, a wolf, met Kaitlyn, and was very angry because of the threat that threatened their land and the brothers he loved.

Having a bad relationship, with her only known living relative, had her running away from the ranch she had called home for years. She loved her horses and the farm and her education had taught her all about them. When the job came up at the Durham farm, it was a dream come true. Micah worried that with a vampire out to wipe them out, wanting vengeance, getting his mate stuck in the middle of all of this was the last thing he wanted. But how can you fight a mate bond?

Although I was very critical of the first two books, I am very glad I read this one. Each book is a stand alone, but there is an ongoing story that concludes in this one. They all have a lot of hot sex, but all are stories of werewolves finding their mates. And I must say, it was really "HOT". I will read more of this author as I like her take on paranormals. Maybe a reread of the series for me. 3.5 stars

I didnt like this as much as the other two. But it is still a good read! In this book, more of the story is about Kaitlyn. She is the headstrong mate for Micah. It is hot n steaming, and I love the authors sence of humor!

Surprise Surprise. she knows about wolf shifters.

I loved the ending for this series.
I would love to read more books about the smokies.

Well the third book in the Durham Wolves series in one very hot sex filled story. Once again the vampire McKinney is causing trouble. He just won't die and leave the Durhams alone.
Micah is the last of the three brothers to find his mate and he is glad. That is until he returns home to discover a new horse trainer who happens to be his mate. He has a meltdown and wants her gone.
Kaitlyn has run away from her grandmothers farm and the coldness she has felt since her mother died. The only ones she feels anything for are the shifters who work there. She is strong willed and won't take no for an answer when she applies for a position.
Will Micah accept his mate or force her to leave to keep her safe? How long will it take to make her see their destiny? Will they be able to end Mc Kinney's reign of terror in the Smokies?

This was a good series from the first to the end. Surprises and twists keep the story moving. Plus nothing like a strong woman for a demanding male shifter. An honest review for a free copy from the author.
