I was eleven when it happened, the end of the world. That's what everyone called it "The end of the world." It sounds so final doesn't it? Maybe that's why people were so freaked out. Well, that and the monsters.
The world is struck by a terrifying plague. Those who don't succumb are twisted into monsters from childhood nightmare. Only a tiny number, a fraction of a percent, are immune. Mankind, the dominant species on the planet for thousands of years, is reduced to hiding and cowering in the dark.
Two children, tortured by their own illnesses, react differently. Their bodies change. The disease that destroys everyone else molds them into the only hope for human kind.

First note that this is a book by an independent author. It's the first from this author and I have to say I totally enjoyed reading the story. It was a little on the short side but that really didn't matter because the book just flowed along. The two main characters were engaging and it was quite a story to tell. I think the ending was satisfying but also left the door open for another story as I think I'd like to know what came next for X and Max!

Loved it!!!!
This story was a delight to read! I was hooked from the first chapter. Its a must read for anyone who is a lover of sci-fi fantasies and apocalyptic mayhem.

Vampires, Werewolves,a little girl, disease, the end of the world
This author is only going to improve . Yes, there are typos but what does that really matter. The story begins with a comet passing close to the earth. People everywhere are sick and dying. Some have survived only to mutate into others. A few are immune but they may have lived only to be hunted and eaten. A sickly little girl gets well and becomes more the human. Her blood may save the world. A good book and more stories could be told of X's adventures and the ? that loves her.

Wow!!! I liked the whole thing. The ending reminded me of The Postman.
If there were mistakes i missed them because the story was so good. The ending was great but a little fast since i liked the story a lot i could have kept reading for a lot longer..
Not sure if i missed it or if it just was not there ....is what happened in England.
This is for sure a good book and worth the read for any that like a little different apocalyptic book.
