A very pretty book, but the pictures bleed over the edges of the pages -- you rarely see the entire painting -- and they are only identified in a list at the back. It's for pretty picture-lovers, but not so helpful at seeing his work overall. For that, "First Maitz" is a better book.

Some of these "Art of" collections have a lot of exposition and background stories of the images. Which is fine but Maitz book dispenses with a lot of that. This book is flush with page after page of wall to wall Don Maitz art. Love it!
