Was there a advanced prehistoric civilization in ancient Egypt? Who were the people who built the great pyramids and carved the Great Sphinx? Did the pyramids serve as energy devices and not as tombs for kings? Independent Egyptologist Stephen S. Mehler has spent over 30 years researching the answers to these questions and believes the answers are "Yes!" An indigenous oral tradition still exists in Egypt, and Mehler has been able to uncover and study it with the help of a living master of this tradition, Abd El Hakim Awyan. He has also been given permission to share these teachingspresented heretofore in fragments by other researchersto the Western World, teachings that unfold a whole new understanding of ancient Egypt.
Stephen Mehler’s fascination with ancient Egypt , which began at the age of eight, has guided his education and spiritual work all his life. Mehler holds three degrees in the sciences and is a trained field archaeologist and prehistorian. Mehler also served as a Staff research scientist for the Rosicrucian Order, AMORC, in San Jose , California from 1978-1980.
Since 1992, Mehler has worked with and been a student of, Egyptian-born Egyptologist and indigenous wisdom keeper, Abd’El Hakim Awyan, popularly known as Hakim. Stephen has written two books, The Land of Osiris and From Light Into Darkness: The Evolution Of Religion In Ancient Egypt, based on his 14 years of work with Hakim and Stephen’s almost 40 years of research in the area. Stephen is currently Director of Research of both the Great Pyramid of Giza Research Association and his own Land Of Osiris Research Project . He also leads tours to Egypt and is working on a third book with Hakim.
This book was not what I expected I'm not saying that I didn't like it, but the thing is: It mainly depended on the explanations of one man "Abd Al Hakim Awyan", a man I don't know how to define him, is he really a man with rare knowledge "which I seriously doubt", or did the author fell in the hand of a con who deceived him, Egyptian Cons can be brilliant deceivers. I cannot believe in the "indigenous tradition", and sure using meditation to explain archeology is not an accepted scientific method I don't thing this book was taken seriously among archeologists and historians and adding extraterrestrials at the end of the book was pushing it, anyway the author didn't focus on them and just passed quickly but to say the truth, this book introduced some very interesting ideas, and actually opened my mind to some ideas I was not aware of I like it but I cannot take it's ideas for granted I also like how the author spoke of all of the aspects of his theories, even their weaknesses and his honesty in presenting the theories and their counter theories.
This book is a myth buster. In 1992 Stephen Mehler met Abd'El Hakim Awyan who it turned out was a keeper of indigenous Egyptian wisdom going back thousands of years. In fact, in Hakim's tradition Egypt and it's civilization is known as Khemit. Much is revealed in this book. The Sphinx isn't just over 10000 years old, it's over 50,000 years old. The pyramids weren't the tombs of megalomaniac kings but sophisticated energy devices built by a culture that understood and worked with the elements of nature. It turns out that even our understanding of hieroglyphics is really only at a very basic level; that much has been missed by Western scholars. As Mehler points out, our whole understanding of Egypt or Khemit is through Western eyes, not Khemitian. I really enjoyed this book and give it a 5 out of 5. It sits proudly on my shelf next to John Anthony West's Serpent in the Sky - another masterpiece. Thank you Stephen Mehler.
Stephen did a great job acclimating his audience to the predynastic periods of civilization and demonstrating the robust connection to full consciousness or authentic spirituality before the advent of religion. It fuses in history and facts to support his stance on Khemitology as the foundation for God. It is a fascinating read. However, Stephen's book, Light to Darkness covers majority of the information discussed in this book and adds a new spin to the understanding of The Land of Osiris.

Mehler is certainly well versed in the ancient culture of Khemit. His research with Hakim Awyan is extensive and this book was a long time in the making. I recommend it to anyone with an interest in finding out where our civilization may have begun.
Lots of great projections, clues, and facts about the ongoing uncover of the pyramid being a power plant, seismic tap, and temple of inter dimensional communication. Shifting paradigms on old thinking and cover up stories of greek translations and tomb affiliations with these massive structures all over ancient egypt. Lots of ancestory ties to 42 star tribes, and other cultures Mayan, Aztec, Atlantians, Lemurians, etc in the last couple chapters. OOOOHhhhhhhmmmmmmM......
