When Shane asked me to read her new book, I immediately said yes because I really liked her first one. This book, Impossibly Love, I fell deeply for, and ended up reading the entire novel in one sitting. Shane Morgan is a promising new talent to look out for.

I'm not sure where I should begin because there's just so much I want to try and express, so I will just jump on in!

“I was adamant on making her mine.”

That very quote above is exactly why I love Branden and everything about him. He's determined to have what he wants. He doesn't hide his feelings, he's straightforward with them.

Branden pursues Moya who turns him down over and over again. But instead of becoming discouraged or giving up on attaining her affections, this only makes him desire her even more.

His interest in Moya is genuine. He isn't the bad boy who needs to prove a point, and this isn't insta-love. He wants to get to know her and she keeps denying him the chance.

Shane Morgan's books make me smile. I've had the pleasure of reading two of her novels and it's been a delight. She writes about the characters I love to read about and she always adds in the fun and humorous flare that I adore in books. The interactions between her characters are playful, hilarious, and cute. This book had me grinning the entire time as Branden pursued Moya.

Branden is sweet yet determined to get Moya's attention, and boy is she a challenge! Fiery and fierce! This is what pulls him closer to her.

Here is one of my favorite scenes. This is the part where I fell for Branden myself. If a guy ever did this to me...Oh my...I'm too embarrassed to say what would happen afterward.

Whew this scene goes onward...[....] Fans self. HOT!

If that doesn't leave you breathless after reading, I'm not sure what else will.

I have to give this 5 glowing stars. I couldn't stop grinning and probably looked like a dork.

But then....I cried. Yes, the book has power. I was grinning in the beginning and sobbing a few chapters later. Branden has been holding on to a secret—one that will change everything.

It's rare I find books with the ability to make me experience two intense emotions simultaneously; I'm happy because they're in love, yet sad because of the indication of what might tear them apart.

I eased her away and tilted her chin up to meet my gaze. “I would never hurt you, Moya. You have to believe me.” Then following those words was the reminder that maybe I couldn't make such a promise after all.

It's taken Moya so long to open up to him, but when she does and they do get together, the news he delivers is devastating.

I love how there is so much depth in this New Adult book. It's not just another book about a tattooed college bad boy hooking up with some virgin girl.

It was amazing having two characters who wanted something so passionately while also trying to avoid something else, and refusing to give in.

Deep down, Moya wants a happy relationship, but has turned down every guy in fear of a getting a broken heart, which is why she's trying to avoid Branden. She's afraid she's going to fall in love and be left heartbroken in the end.

He wants her, but he's facing a personal difficulty that may stand in his way even if he does win her over. He takes a leaping chance anyway, because to him, what does he have to lose? Along the way he realizes that he probably shouldn't pursue her because of his condition, and he tries backing away, but it's unavoidable, she's unavoidable. Their love for each other is inevitable.

The characters are strong and strong willed. Instead of giving up, they are determined. Their goals, and eventually their love for each other, push them to strive for more.

It's a story that makes you smile and one that will also make your heart ache as you cheer the characters on.

It's a story about love, and life, and going for the impossible. It's about beating the odds that aren’t stacked in your favor.

I am in love with this book. It's a strong, empowering love story unlike any other. This is a highly recommended New Adult read.

And the BEST part?! There's going to be a part 2! You better believe this is on my waiting-for list and I'm gonna read it ASAP.

I received this book from the author in exchange for my honest review.

I have to say thank you to Shane Morgan for accepting me and giving me the book in advance for beta reading! First of all I love the cover and I think the girl fits perfectly the main character. Second of all, the books it’s absolutely from first page to the last, perfect! I've had all sorts of emotions reading it. I was happy, then sad, then angry, again sad, pissed, happy, laughing, at it goes on. What Shane Morgan did in this pages will leave you breathless. The character are well formed and described, you will get the feeling that you've known them for a while, you will understand their feelings and live with them with all you’re soul. I can’t describe it well enough, and I want to give this book justice!

Moya Jeanine Douglas is our main character. She is a beautiful, strong, independent girl, second year at college with a scholarship in Finance. She has been asked out by fifteen guys, and she turned all of them down. Moya doesn't want to date, she doesn't want to suffer like her mother, when her father left. She’s angry all the time, with her line already picked. She doesn't give anyone a chance, and if Moya doesn't like you, you don't stand a chance. But, in Business Law she meets Branden McCarthy.

He is beautiful, smart, with big blue eyes and a kind soul. Moya thinks he is a player, but he isn't. He only had a girlfriend who dumped him after finding out his sick. Now, Branden isn’t the big shot hockey player, he has to stay put because of his condition. But, that doesn't bother him anymore. He has noticed Moya for a long time, and tries to get her to go out with him, to just give him a chance. When Moya finally does, Branden feels sick more often, but she is the one keeping him steady, even if she doesn't know what’s wrong with him. They started dating, having fun, and starting falling in love, true love. But Braden it’s afraid to tell Moya what’s wrong with him and he decides to take the surgery for her, in order to have a chance at a normal live with his girlfriend.

“She's not just some girl. I told you I love her. She means the world to me and I want to do this surgery for a chance at a life with her. I know there's a possibility I won't make it but at least, for Moya, I want to try.”

Moya’s mother is everything for her. She wants to make her proud and always be there when she needs her. She hates her father for leaving them, and she doesn't want to know that pain again. When her mother finally notice Moya is in love with a boy, she tries to denies it. She’s afraid to even recognize it to herself, but her mom knows the truth. Her baby girl has finally found her true love. No matter how hard she tries to hide it.

“Moya Jeanine Douglas. I brought you into this world, clothed you, fed you, and raised you for nineteen years. You think I don‟t know when something‟s wrong and when my baby girl is lying to me.”

It’s a complicated story, sad and it made me realize people can go throw things like this and still find true love. I felt sorry for Moya because her mother has changed her life in a bad way, even if that wasn't her intention. Keeping such a big lie from her was awful. I got her point of view, why she didn't date. I’m glad she finally accepted Braden. When I realized I was almost done with the book, I actually starting praying for it to have a happy ending. And it did! It was actually perfect! True love conquers all! The good news is, I saw there is going to be a second book! Can’t wait to find out more about Moya and Branden. I highly recommend this book. It will make you see what true love actually looks like and leave a feeling of warmth in you’re soul. Thank you Shane Morgan for this wonderful book!

4 FANTASTIC STARS!

*This book was kindly given to me in exchange for a honest review*

This is a pretty quick and easy read that I honestly had trouble putting down. I read this entire book in one day. The characters in this story are very relatable and I liked them very much. The plot is easy to follow and the book takes off right in the very beginning.

Branden and Moya are typical college students trying to get through each day like any other adult their age. Their lives revolve around school, money, dating and friends. Moya is going through tough family issues that sadly many people face. She is trying her best to overcome her internal struggles. She was raised by her mother with little support from her father. Moya resents him for leaving her behind and this is a very typical feeling many people go through when they come from a one parent home.

Branden also has some family issues going on that many families endure. I don’t want to spoil anything, so I’m not going to share too much about Branden and his family, but there is immense strain felt between both parents and the kids. To top it off, Branden has a life-threatning condition that puts immense amounts of strain on himself and his family.

I love how the author brings these two broken, yet beautiful souls together. They develop this friendship in the beginning that has potential to blossom into a full blown relationship. I was rooting for them to work out their emotions together all along. They both didn’t realize how much they truly needed one other because they both had personal issues to contend with first and they weren’t sharing them. Both characters also felt like they were not capable of being in a romantic relationship because of their own personal demons. In reality, they actually really needed each other very much.

“I had to take the risk, I had to be with Moya.” – Branden

Overall, I give this story FOUR STARS! I am super excited to see what happens in the next book of this series. I highly recommend this story to all readers that enjoy a quick and easy story that keeps you on your toes up to the very end of the book!

-XOXO

She doesn’t believe in love – and had no intention of falling herself – until Branden McCarthy.

I hated her – at first, but then as the story continues, as you get to know her. Her past, her insecurities and her heartaches, you will understand as well why she acts that way. I was relieved to finally see her open up, a little, and then some more, then finally took the risk. It was very hard for her – but she did it anyway. Only that, she expected something entirely different as a response from him….

Branden who had his own baggage to carry, more than his broken heart. He wanted to be the one to destroy the walls around Moya, and hope that the connection between the two of them was strong enough for her to give what they have a chance. It was a lot of hard work on Branden’s part it took a lot of effort for him to finally break her walls, but just as when the two of them hit it off – the secret that he’s been keeping is threatening to drive them apart. Maybe for good.

I like Branden, especially his outlook in life. He was sweet, charming and smart. He has some family issues, and I thought all the while it was really the problem. I was betting on the twist and ending – I was right on the twist, I had it coming, but the ending had surprised me. Sometimes, we often see the value of people if we already lose them – so make it a habit everyday to be honest to the people you love and tell them how you feel. Who knew? You might never have the chance to say it to them.

Impossibly Love is indeed a Rated G New Adult but it doesn’t mean it won’t make you swoon – because Branden is enough to make your pulse race a little bit faster than normal.

***Book received from author in exchange for an honest review***

Well, I want to start with saying that this book was actually really good, and there are certain people I would definitely recommend this one to. This was an adorable, clean, and refreshing New Adult book that does a decent job standing out from others in the same category. Another fine example of how New Adult books do not have to be all about sex and that there are other more pressing issues that this specific age-group face; nice clean read with no cursing or explicit scenes.

I understand the situation presented in this book made it seem necessary, but I still didn’t like how fast the feelings developed. I felt like Moya didn’t put up a realistic struggle against her feelings for Brandon. At this point though, it was all just a bit too fast and it made it too unbelievable (it was corny and the level of sweet would give you cavities - kept going "aww"). I didn’t get the chance to fall in love with Brandon which made relating to Moya a little difficult.

Don’t get me wrong, I really liked Brandon. He was a gentleman and a real sweetheart which is abnormal (I don’t want to say unrealistic because I hold out hope that maybe guys like this exist somewhere in a land far, far away) for the New Adult genre which mostly focuses on the bad boys. I also really liked Moya. She was strong and stood up for her choice not to be in a relationship Then Brandon just sort of snuck up on her. That is a great idea within this book and I completely encourage it. I especially flipped out over:

“Oh right, so, because I‘m not interested in a suitable young man like yourself I‘m obviously a lesbian. Please, get over yourself."

description

Another big problem I had was how obvious certain things were (NOTE: this could be a sign that I'm getting tired of dual point-of-view, take with a grain of salt). I kept saying to myself, “if that [expletive] phone vibrates at a 'convenient' moment one more time I swear I will [insert hollow threat here].” These were kind of big issues that were continuous throughout the book so I’m having a hard time letting them slide.

Despite this, I did really enjoy how the story was a breath of fresh air. Really. The New Adult category, despite how much I love it, does tend to have a certain formula that seems to be doing well. This book was different; still dealing with the New Adult age-group but with a rare and beautiful form of tension. I just have to admit; I really liked this aspect so much and hope the author continues with these differences. I approve. I’ll probably even read up on the next book to see how their story turns out and witness some more character development as the story unfolds.

This is a great story about two people who are not looking for fall in love but do. Moya doesn't want to be distracted by a boy because all they are going to do is hurt you in the end. Meanwhile, Branden has a condition that threatens to take away his life. But somehow, these two find each other and are unable to resist the pull and soon find themselves in love.

I liked that for being a new adult romance novel, it wasn't filled with raging hormones and tons of sex. Instead we get a sweet slow building romance between two young adults. This sort of reminded me of a Walk to Remember because you had two people who were not looking for love for various reasons, who over time, fall in love. Plus with the medical condition that Branden has looming over his head, it adds a level of mystery because you don't know what he has until the end.

The author wrote the characters as per their age. Way too often I read a book about young adults or teens and it either comes off sounding like they are in their 30's or how the author thinks people that age should act, instead of how they actually do. So I liked that the characters were true to their age. However, I felt like Branden was a bit too romantic for me. He would say things like "she had the most beautiful high cheekbones I'd ever seen" which would throw me off. I could see a girl thinking those things but unless you are a doctor, make-up artist or photographer, more men don't notice cheekbones. Their field of vision travels a little bit lower.

However, I did enjoy the story and thought that it was a great example that not all new adult romances need to have explicit sex scenes. I hope that more authors break out of the new adult mold and start reforming the new genre into something more. This is a great light romance story that shows young love at it's finest.

*I received a copy of this book from the author in response for an honest review

4 out of 5 stars

*Spoiler alert

I was actually very impressed with this book. While there was the whole "I can't love you because I'm broken" thing, it was done realistically and (thankfully) was short lived. Most books that go through 400 out of 500 pages of angst-y "unrequited" love drive me crazy and I often end up skipping pages and chapters until they finally wrap it up and go on with the story. I was very pleased that this didn't happen in this book.

I also very much enjoyed the fact that there was more to the plot with Branden's illness. It gave the story a more realistic and interesting twist. I was very anxious to find out what happened to him and how things would turn out.

The way that the characters talked was very interesting. I like the urban flair to their speech with words like "girl" and "momma". It made it easier for me to personally connect with the characters (seeing as I often speak the same way). That was so unique and creative to me that the author managed to pull that off without making me spend half of my time reading the book checking urban dictionary to translate what the characters were saying. I loved how the author did that.

All in all it was a cute and interesting read. I look forward to reading more of Morgan's work!

Love this book! I thought Moya's closed off personality was justifiable and I had a feeling she was protecting herself. I love that Brandon never gave up on her. The secret about his condition kept me reading as well as seeing how he'd break Moya's shell. I thought the tension kept me reading with interest right until the end.

I'm glad this and Victoria H. Smith's book were my first real forays into the New Adult genre. I like the cleaner and more subtle NA reads rather than the over the top ones and after reading this book my expectations are pretty high. Aside from a few language instances, this was a pretty clean read that the whole family can enjoy. Due to the heavy situations, I'd probably suggest this to readers about 15 and up.

This book stayed with me and I was so glad to see the next book continues with Moya and Brandon. I'm dying to read more about them and dive back into their world!

I really, really wanted to like this. It is written by a blogger that I have followed for some time. I read over half of it and then just couldn't read anymore. It was too much innuendo for me and heavy breathing and descriptions at weird places. It also didn't feel authentic or natural. I was just thinking would a guy really think those things and say that? Maybe for those who read Adult Romance on a regular basis this might work for them. I wanted a lot more depth to the characters and the story than I was given. Having said all of that, I didn't mind the writing style or the plot.

I received a free review copy of this book from the author, which did not affect my review in any way.

I enjoyed this read, it was very emotional. The only thing I had issues with was the pushy friend, saying she cannot be happy and have a full life without a man. Having a man is a want not a need. She was like a devil on her shoulder, don't study, party and have fun.

Anyway, I love this couple and Brandon was a really sweet, good guy.
Awesome story.

OMG this book was just so sweet like I can't get over it. There are some obvious issues I had with it but it just made my heart happy reading it.

I'm not the biggest fan of New Adult college romances but this is the cutest and sweetest one that I've read and the fact that it was a rare decent IR romance made it even better for me. The book centers on the relationship between Moya and Branden. Moya was iffy for me like I found her to be a little one-dimensional. She spent most of the book being angry and distrustful, and I just wish I could feel more than that from her. She had to deal with things from her past that made her bitter, but I wish she didn't cling to the bitterness as long as she did especially when she had an actual Prince Charming who would do anything for her.

Branden is the aforementioned Prince Charming and he really was just that. He was so adorable, kind and gentle. Perhaps not the most realistic portrayal of a college sophomore, but Branden had a lot going on in his life that would make a person grow up pretty quickly. I loved that Branden was going through the hardest thing imaginable, but he never let it get him down. He kept fighting, whether it was for Moya's love or his future.

Despite the borderline insta-loveness of it, I actually really loved Branden and Moya together like there was something so innocent about their relationship. I loved that Moya was in this really hurt place, and Branden was able to pull her out of it just through the purity of his love for her. I thought the pacing of the book was really good, there weren't any dragging moments. One of the main issues I had was that the central conflict was resolved way too quickly. Obviously, the resolution is the one I wanted but it wrapped up too neatly, I wanted more angst and feeling attached to it.

Overall, I'd recommend this to anyone who wants a sweet college romance.

(From a blog tour stop: http://www.readergirlsblog.com/2013/1...)
(My rating: 4.5) Moya is a serious student attending Easton University. She's there to make two people happy: her Momma and herself. Watching her Momma work hard to raise her only child by herself has taught this young woman to be financially independent. "...my Momma convinced me money should be my area of study." Learn, graduate, get a good job, be satisfied, and make Momma proud. What Moya doesn't want to do is waste time dating guys and doing the party scene. After her father left when she was a child, Moya doesn't believe in love and relationships. And then there's this guy named Branden McCarthy who sits in her Business Law class and seems to always argue Moya's points. Always. It's as though he likes to get under her skin. He sure is good looking....

Once a high school star athlete, Branden admires Moya from across a classroom. She's feisty, outspoken, gorgeous, but closed off to anything not education-related. He can tell she's intelligent and passionate from her debating in class, still, isn't there more to college than books and studying? Branden is determined to get to know the real Moya, the beautiful woman underneath the cold veneer, the woman she hides from the world. Question is, will Moya let him in somehow?

Even the best thought-out plans can change. In Shane Morgan's sweet and endearing New Adult contemporary romance, Impossibly Love, the one-directional way of thinking of the head can be swayed by the stirrings of the heart. As much as Moya wants to keep her distance from Branden, her eyes always seem to search him out. He's confidant, smart, caring, soft-spoken and so easy to look at. Her best friend, Vanessa, isn't much of a help, pushing her to date and go out. When Moya finally decides to give the persistently charming Branden a chance, unknown to her he carries a secret which may hinder her chance to fall in love.

I beta read Impossibly Love and I'm proud of and thrilled for Shane Morgan's foray into the New Adult market. This author offers a realistic, culturally different and refreshingly needed couple's love story. Branden's secret hasn't been done in this market (that I know of) and there is a perfect blend of emotion, thought and action. In this one novel we see the before, during, and get a glimpse of the after of a couple destined to connect despite conflict. I really liked both characters and enjoyed their rocky journey to each other. Branden tries to deal with his secret the best way he can. He is selfless and incredibly strong, a true gentleman, and his feelings for Moya will not be denied. Moya feels her tough exterior chipping away and learns the problems of the past do not have to interfere with her future. She can be independent, achieve her dream, and still be able to share her life with someone. Both come from strong families and it was great to see the main characters depend upon their parents or siblings (I loved Branden's brother).

Told from both perspectives in first person pov, Impossibly Love is a testament that not everything is impossible, especially if the heart is involved. Two equally strong characters go after what they want, shifting whatever plans they had in order to satisfy their hearts and be free to love. For Moya and Branden, anything is possible, even love, and as readers we are able to share in their affair of the heart.

A sweet love story that leaves you desperate for more. Shane Morgan is a fantastic author who creates gorgeous scenes for the reader to imagine. She has a way of taking a simple thing and changing it into a magical, romantic scene. This book is a roller coaster of emotions making your heart swell and then shatter within a few pages. One of my favourite things about this book was its dual perspective. I enjoyed getting to read both Moya and Braden's point of view It allowed the reader to see the reasons behind some of the characters actions. It also allowed the reader to connect with both of the main characters rather than just one

Shane Morgan also created a brilliant sweet romance filled plot. Moya has often been abandoned by those she loves, including her dad. Due to this she was determined not to fall in love and only concentrate on her studies but that all changes when Braden walks into her life. Braden is on a mission to make Moya his but with health issues returning can they ever be together. Sometimes during this book I really wanted to hit them both over back of their heads as they are perfect for each other but kept letting other things get in the way. Apart from these frustrating moments I really loved the whole idea of this book. Throughout the book the reader is desperate for Moya and Braden to get together. Shane Morgan is a brilliant author who's descriptions are magical and set up fantastic romantic scenes.

I thought Moya was a wonderful strong minded female character. She was tough and stuck to what she believed in and didn’t back down for anyone. The only criticism I have for this book is a would have liked more insight into Moya’s abandonment issues. Moya was a very believable character which made it easier for the reader to like her.

Overall I enjoyed this book and would recommend it as it does the job of being a heartbreaking love story brilliantly Shane Morgan is a great author and I can’t wait to see how Moua and Braden’s story continues.

Moya Douglas has sealed her heart up so tight no one is going to be able to break through. At least, that is what she hopes. Because, loving someone means losing them. She knows. She has experienced it, suffered through it, learned from it. So what if she is alone? That just means she has more time to devote to obtaining her degree in Finance with the added bonus that her heart is still in one piece. You..can't..trust..men. Her best friend, Vanessa, disagrees and continually plots to relieve Moya of her single state much to Moya's annoyance. "You know what, you‘re like a little devil on my shoulder, telling me all the bad yet 'fun' stuff I should do." "I seriously think you should stop treating the male species like they're the enemy..give one a chance. You never know." Enter Branden McCarthy, the model-handsome, fellow Business Law student who, apparently, likes to share his opinions whenever Moya has something to say in class. "Maybe he got a kick out of doing that, but I certainly wasn‘t a fan of guys who tried to sound intelligent just so they could impress me out of my clothes. No matter how enticing he appeared." Moya intrigued Branden. From her hourglass figure and golden honey-toned skin to her extremely well-guarded persona, Moya represented a challenge Branden was itching to accept, especially after her flat refusal to go out with him. Game on. Branden's persistence pays off. He is beginning to crack the hard shell surrounding Moya's heart."Please don't make me fall", I pleaded to my heart. But, Branden has a secret, a big one and one that begs the question, 'should he pursue a relationship with Moya or with anyone, for that matter?'
Although there were a few inconsistencies and deeper character development could have made the story so much richer, I enjoyed Impossibly Love. It was a sweet, touching young adult romance that was quick to read and left a smile on my face. Definitely 3.5 stars. Thank you, Shane for sharing your story with me!

Impossibly Love is a very short, very sweet tale of a girl with steel walls built around her heart and a too smitten boy desperate to break through.

Impossibly Love is the kind of short and sweet that's bad for you, like a mini bite-sized candy bar. Why is it bad for you? Uh, let me count the ways.
1. You have to read it in one sitting. That's about four hours of sitting. (Hello, cellulite!)
2. You ignore everyone and everything around you. Be prepared to be called unsociable. (Warning: Do not read while cooking/baking.)
3. The sad/scary moments that give you heart palpitations.
4. The ache you get in that tooth of yours because Brandon is just so sweet.

I loved Brandon's family. That was probably the highlight of the book for me. Seeing them struggle was hard, but they were amazing at sticking together and loving and hoping. It was very heartwarming and heartbreaking. They're a tough bunch.

And there's more to come. This isn't even like a taste of what's to come, it's a tease. It seemed to end before they even began, making you want, want, want for the next book. From the excerpt, it's going to get STEAMY. Like, hot. I can't wait.

If I had to think of one thing that was lacking, I'd say...Spunk. The writing style was lacking some originality. It could of used some wryness, humor, SOMETHING to make it pop and stand out. Personality.
The story was pretty original in of itself, as were the characters. Otherwise, there was nothing wrong with it.

I was provided with a copy by the author for an honest review.

Impossibly Love is a feel-good, sweet New Adult contemporary romance that will make you laugh and cry. It's a fast-paced read that drew me in from the first chapter. Ms. Morgan created two very likeable characters, both broken by events in their lives; one determined to avoid love at all costs, and one wanting love desperately, but afraid of rejection.

Moya is hurting emotionally, having been abandoned by her father when she was a child. She refuses to open up to any male, fearing they will hurt her as well. She's attracted to Branden but terrified of him at the same time since he threatens to topple the carefully constructed wall she's built around herself.

Branden has been hurt by love. His story is a bit more tragic than Moya's, and my heart just went out to him. When he falls for Moya, he realizes he must reveal his secret to her, but he's afraid since his last girlfriend dumped him when she found out.

The story alternated between Moya's and Branden's point of view. I enjoyed the interactions between them, though at times I wanted to scream in frustration. They're both so afraid of being hurt, it's a wonder they even manage talking to each other. The story ends on a positive note, something I worried about as the story progressed. If anyone deserves to find comfort in each other, it's Branden and Moya.

I recommend Impossibly Love to everyone high school and up that enjoys a sweet romance. It's also a clean romance, limited to kissing and the mildest of bad language.

Before I reveal my thoughts, I would just like to thank Shane for giving me the opportunity to read and review her novel ~ Impossibly Love. It is a romantic read which tugs on your heart strings.

So where to begin? Let me start by introducing the two main characters, Moya Douglas and Branden McCarthy. Moya is beautiful, intelligent, strong minded and fiercely independent. A second year college student, she spends much of her time studying and has no desire to enter a relationship with a member from the opposite sex (mainly, because she is afraid of getting hurt).

Branden, with his big blue eyes, is cute, kind, caring and not afraid to show his feelings. Right from the start, it is apparent he likes Moya and would like to be more than just friends. Although Moya tries really hard to evade Branden’s advances, eventually, his persuasive nature is too much and she agrees to a date. As their love begins to blossom, things are suddenly brought to a screeching halt as a secret Branden has been keeping from Moya rises to the surface.

Impossibly Love is told alternately from both Moya and Branden’s POV, thereby, allowing the reader to get into both their heads. It’s a NA Contemporary Romance without a whole lot of swearing or sex (which was kind of refreshing). It is a sweet romance filled with emotional ups and downs.

Shane’s writing style is clear and easy to read making it possible to connect with the characters. I really enjoyed Impossibly Love and am looking forward to Book #2.

4 stars

This book was kindly given to me in exchange for a honest review

I'd like to thank Shane Morgan for handing me this opportunity to read this book in exchange for a review. First of all, the cover is beautiful! I have to say, the girl on the cover totally goes with the main character.

This great story is about two people who are not looking to fall in love but do.

Our main character Moya Douglas is described as a study hard student that attends collage, wanting to make her mother proud. Moya doesn't date, she never hangs out with friends (expect for Nessa), and thinks that the only reason guys are interest in her is to get into her pants. She doesn't believe in love and she has no intention in ever finding it.

In comes Branden McCarthy. A selfless romantic who had his heart broken in the past. Branden is interested in changing Moya's views toward love. But just when things started to work between them Branden's secret threatens to get in the way.

Will Moya finally do the impossible and give love a chance with Branden, or will fear keep them apart?

Overall I gave this book 4 stars and I can't wait to find out what happens in the next book in this series. This was my first NA read and after reading this book I think I would be interested in reading more from this genre.

You can read the full review on My Blog.

I received a copy of this book for the tour stop I hosted back in October and I finally got around to reading it. I'm so glad I did! I absolutely loved the author's writing - her word choices were beautiful.

I'm pretty new in the NA genre, and I recommend this book for other readers looking to bridge into the area- Impossibly Love is totally clean and easy to get through even for a younger reader like me.For a relatively short book, a lot happened in it, which made for a well paced and fun read. However, there were certain plot points that I didn't buy.

For example, I found Moya's feelings about love really understandable considering her past, but I didn't make sense to me that she was completely adamant to not date at all... with horomones running wild in college, that didn't strike me as very realistic. Also, in the novel Branden discovers some dark secrets in his immediate family that in my opinion should have impacted his character or the plot in some way- he didn't react to the information at all.

Something I liked about the book was that Moya is black, but that it's not stated directly in the book. Since when is the default white? You only know because of the cover and certain hints. So kudos to you, Shane Morgan.

First of all, Cover is spot-on and easily one of the most beautiful I've seen and that definitely transmits the image of the main character.

I bought it based on an excerpt in the guy's point of view and I was convinced.

The plot was really relatable and realistic about Moya's need to be inside her bubble and not messing with anyone unless neccessary so she could ignore her problems and Branden's need to burst that bubble and transmit his love to her was as real as it could be.

I really enjoyed their banter and how he was really patient throughout the book and giving her time to adjust but at the same time how he couldn't stop himself from trying to get her out of her element despite his own problems.

The flow of the story was really nice and I like how Branden always focuses on Moya's problems besides his own really serious condition and I also like how he explained the reasons why he is not comfortable with his family among other things.

I just wished that the ending was not so rushed, maybe I was hoping for a little more drama rather than a it's a complicated surgery and he might die ¡poof! he's totally fine and alive you may resume with your life kind of ending. I just needed more drama I guess haha.

I wasn't sure that I was going to enjoy this book when I first started reading it, because I wasn't a big fan of the main character, Moya. She came off too mad, too full of attitude and so argumentative with all of the other characters that I instantly felt that she was a negative to the story, however, as I continued on through the story she became slightly less of a negative to the story and she softened some once she found out that not everyone is going to lie, cheat, or break her heart and shatter what little remained of her trust. I liked the flow of the story and the way that the characters all rallied together in the end. It wasn't the fairy tale ending, but it was close and I am looking forward to reading the next book in the series to see how the relationships continue for all of the characters, as there is some work that needs to be done on many of the relationships. I wish that the author would have left some of the characters "show up" in the next book, so that she could spend more time on the main couple and then develop the others later on, but overall it was a good read that I enjoyed and it was a quick read once you got started.

I could not put Impossibly Love down, and I read it completely in one sitting. Man, the story line hit close to home with the understanding of Moya’s past. I guess it is why I found it so hard to put the book down.
When I met my husband, I was guarded, lost, and closed off to the world. I know how hard it is when you have been hurt over and over again. I love how Shane captured the hurt, feelings, and brought it into the book.
Branden’s stubbornness, I guess you can say, is what brought light to the book. I loved the way his story told it from his point of view, and the way he thought things through. He didn’t have to be the bad guy to get her attention, or want to take Moya immediately to his room. He wanted to get to know her, know about her, and it definitely gave the book a rounded aspect.
Branden’s secret will have you either biting your tongue to hold back tears, or needing the tissues beside you as you read deeper into the book.
Impossibly Love is rated G, it is definitely a sweet clean romance, and I completely enjoyed it.

I really liked this book. I enjoy character-driven stories and Moya and Branden were very well developed. I felt like I knew them and had a stake in what they were going through. I also got a kick out of Vanessa--she's the sidekick every girl wants as their gal pal.

As far as the plot, I liked that the author kept it simple and straightforward. I never felt like the story veered off course. She stuck to the problems at hand and let the characters express their own (realistic) viewpoints as the plot unfolded. It's a simple story and a heartfelt one. Sadly, too many teens and young adults have a similar tale to tell. And who hasn't felt betrayed by those who should really care for them more than their own selfish needs? I totally understood why Moya had such a hard time trusting.

Branden was almost too good to be true, which, in my opinion, is exactly what we want in our heroes. This is entertainment, after all! A love story always benefits by casting a larger-than-life character in the starring role! Gives us all something to aspire to....

This was my very first NA read and I enjoyed it. The premise of the story was good and relatable. It drew me into the story. The pace was not to bad either. My problems with this book is the development of the characters. The character's stories were intriguing and relatable, however the storyline and the characters were not developed adequately. For example This is a good starter book for this author, but there is still much to improve on. This could be a bestselling series with a little more work.

I received a free copy of this book through the author.

I wasn't sure how I'd feel about this book. The description was interesting, and though I had some doubts at first, the story was as well. The thing I loved most about this story was how much I had in common with Moya. My parents aren't together anymore, and the experiences my family/friends have had with boyfriends have made me more wary of getting one myself. I've never had a boyfriend and I've never been kissed. I'm also very focused on my schoolwork, so I could see myself in her. The story line was very interesting, especially the plot twist near the end that left me completely shocked. And this has given me hope that one day I will find my own Branden. :)

I wasn't quite sure what to rate this, and after mulling it over a few days, I've decided to give it a 4.5. This was a quick and easy read, and it's something I'd recommend. I can't wait to read Impossibly True.

Impossibly Love is a beautifully written love story with two main characters who Shane Morgan ensures the reader cares deeply for.
Moya is determined that she will not fall in love, cynical after her father's treatment of her mother and her. Yet Branden is persistent, her tough exterior excites him and he is willing to spend time with her just to get her to open up.
The alternate narration is an excellent detail in Impossibly Love. Both our main characters are hiding feelings and secrets and each chapter allows the reader a little more insight into their lives and personalities. Shane Morgan writes with emotion and passion, asking her reader to respond to Moya and Branden's situations.
This is not a novel that should be read without comfort food and plenty of tissues, but one I definitely recommend for curling up with on one of these cold winter days!

*I was sent this book from the author*

Wow. First off, I flew through this book. I read over half of it before I fell asleep last night. I didn't want to put it down. I loved that the point of view changed almost every chapter, It really helped to understand both sides of the story.

Moya and Branden's story was surprisingly addictive to read about. You sympathize with Moya but at the same time get frustrated with her having this wall up all the time. It's the same with Branden. Even though you know why he doesn't tell her something extremely important, You understand why he doesn't. (Is that vague? It sounds like it to me.)

It was sweet and I loved it.

Thank you, Shane Morgan, for sending me this.
