I have been writing since I was eight. I started out with poetry. Eventually, I moved on to short fantasy stories, then eventually books. I have always loved books, whether I was reading them or writing them. Books were always a perfect escape from reality. When I was growing up, I admired authors and I imagined I would eventually be one. The primary genre I write is fantasy romance. I love creating tough heroines and sexy vampires, werewolves, Fae, and every other supernatural creature I can come up with. I also write new adult romance when I am in the right mood. I want my readers to get the same joy from reading my stories that I do when I read some of my favorite authors.
Bloody Liaison is a short story, but it was grueling to get through because of the flat, choppy dialogue; lack of variety in sentence structure; low level vocabulary and grammar; and lack of character development. I did not care for the heroine, but rather just wanted her to be quiet and grow up! The author has a story to tell, but the book needs a lot of work.
I found this book by Ella Price a must read for everyone who enjoys reading paranormal romance. I read it in one sitting. Her storylines have a habit of pulling me in and not letting go until I'm done. The main characters Isabella (human) meets Nicolai (vampire) and she is equally drawn to him as well as scared of him. Nicolai can't seem to stay away from her and they fall in love. They have to overcome many dangerous situations in order to stay together. I can't wait to read the next book in the series.
Good read. I really enjoyed this series though I had a problem with some of the characters and their actions. The relationship between Isabella and Nicolai is very demeaning, abusive and difficult to understand. One minute he's stabbing himself because he can't live without her then within a weeks time, he moves on to someone else without so much as a word to Isabella. What a pig!
The rest of the characters Isabella claims to be her friends, and even her parents, don't seem to have any redeeming qualities either. No one seems to have her best interest at heart and all seem to have their own agendas or not so secretly hate her.
I truly felt sorry for the girl. Everyone wanted to control her but no one was willing to teach her or explain things to her as she muddled through each new facet of her powers. One of the parts that made me laugh, because it was so cute, was when Isabelle and her "children" went to the park.
Crazy characters, a girl always on the edge of getting killed, a scheming grandmother, ornery yet funny vampires give this story an irresistible pull that makes me want to finish the complete series right now even though it's after four in the morning. Nicholai makes my toes curl. Yes, if you like vampires and love stories with quirky uniqueness give this story a chance. I just can't wipe this grin from my face after the reaction of the three male vampires to one sassy and tough human girl. Love the stories my fellow bookworms! Keep on reading!
this book was interesting but the grammar was noticeably off. With that being said I would still continue reading this series.I gave it 3 stars because it was a I interesting read.
4.5 stars a really quick read. I enjoyed it all. though bella did accept everything rather quickly, you can tell she isn't normal. can't wait to see what happens next.
