The writer clearly clarifies the extent of our knowledge of 'humans' before humanity, it is a very good book if you want to have a solid understanding in relying on evolutionary approaches to answering questions on humanity.

Não é uma descrição dos passos que levaram à evolução dos macacos africanos até o homem engravatado. Foley aponta os possíveis "porquês" que levaram à evolução do homem moderno a partir das diferenças anatômicas, genéticas e comportamentais entre os fósseis que mostram as espécies intermediárias.
