I like the way this board book feel book can stretch out - to a length of 6-1/2 feet so that you can see the stretch of the way transportation has evolved. It gives you a visual of what follows what, and when and where this item was invented. Sturdy and built to survive usage.
I an not sure it can be wiped off so be aware of sticky fingers and spills. This is transportable and better than TV.
Starting 200,000 years ago when man traveled by foot and ending today when humans have many ways to get around, this book provides readers with a visual history of transportation. Readers will enjoy unfolding the chart so that they can see at a glance the 100 vehicles featured here. The chart can be read in many different ways, even being flipped over for additional information on each of the vehicles featured on its front. The detail of the digital illustrations is impressive, and the inclusion of ten important events that spurred the invention of faster transportation provides some context for the vehicles included here. This title won't stay on classroom shelves for very long as readers will find it hard to pull themselves away from it.
