This was the best of the series. I'm not sure why. It doesn't really resonate or standout, but it felt more polished.

It's OW/OM free. And that's about the best I can say. I liked the h getting to rub the "rockstar" status of the H in the face of her ex who was a massive fucking prick.

But then you add all the other drama into the equation and it's hard to figure out why I read the whole damn series. Apparently I don't need SO MUCH free time.

If you like NA College trope, this was the best of the series with the fewest clichés.

It was the least battered h syndrome of the series.

Some Kind of Hell, the final book in The Boys of DownCrash Trilogy is an unforgettable second chance romance that tells a story of love and pain, fate and circumstances, relationships, family, forgiveness, hope, and finding yourself. The characters, the story-line and discovering all the secrets will suck you in and keep you turning the pages. This book as well as the first and second book in this trilogy has every possible thing a reader wants in a book... angst, suspense, secrets, twists you don't see coming, romance, pure, unadulterated lust, swoon worthy moments, drama, and then it all wraps up with a great HEA.

I strarted this book. I wasn't sure I would even like it. I really had my doubts, buti read it anyway. I'm so glad I did. It had me cheering along with the band and their girls and also hurting right along side them. It is more than just your typically rock star book. It is about a family that anyone would be happy to be a member of.

Wow what a perfect ending to this story...This trilogy turned out to be quite the surprise.. While it was short compared to some of the other books I have read, it was packed with emotion and interesting characters... Enjoyed each guys story which was emotional and intense at times and how they evolved as a band.. Would definitely recommend this trilogy..

DownCrash

The Boys of DownCrash trilogy is an awesome story about the three guys in the band and their stories. I recommend all three books in the series, especially if you enjoy rockers.

The author lent me an ARC copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

The third book in the Boys of DownCrash series is heartbreaking, frustrating and finally jubilant. Annie is a life-long friend of Maggie. She moves in with Maggie to get away from her long term, live in, boyfriend. The boyfriend not only cheated on her, but also got the other woman pregnant. A fact that he loves to throw in her face.

Maggie takes Annie to a DownCrash practice where she is immediately drawn to Logan, the shy and quiet bass player. Of course, Logan is immediately drawn to her. They soon start an intense and physical relationship, with lots of steamy scenes. Annie ends up with a serious problem, just as Logan’s grandfather dies unexpectedly. Logan has a very difficult time losing his Grandfather because they were extremely close. His Grandfather introduced him to playing guitar, which Logan used to escape a painful childhood. Logan pushes everyone away, including Annie, when she needs him the most, while he attempts to deal with the situation. Eventually, with lots of drama, Annie & Logan get their HEA.

One of my favorite parts of this book was the process of DownCrash getting a manager and being signed to a record deal and tour. It would be fun if the author went back to these characters and gave us an update as they grow into a popular band. Most rocker romances focus on established bands, this one was fun to see the band before they are established.

London Casey is a pen name for Karolyn James, and like all her books, this one needs an editor. Still several typos, missing words and weird sentences. Not as many as some of her other books, but still enough to be aggravating.

After reading book one and book two I did not think the story could get any better. Annie who was a friend of Maggie’s decided to come and be Maggie’s new roommate. Annie had just broke up with her boyfriend. Starting out her story was not as tragic as Scarlett and Maggie’s. But notice the key word there “Starting out” there are things that happen in Annie and Logan’s story that will break your heart. I can truly say they go to hell and back. What they go thru will either make them strong or break them, it could also break others in the process.

Annie had this loser of an ex. I will let your read the story to find out why her ex was such an loser. Trust me you will hate him as much as I do. Reading this story you will see that Annie and Logan are the perfect match for each other. Logan’s grandfather has just beat cancer and Annie’s grandfather is trying to beat cancer. The problem with Annie is she lives in her past. She holds on to her hurt, anger, jealous, and pain. Can she learn to let the past go and learn to live?

Logan was the shy guy in the band. He played the bass and had more of the business head of the group. He liked Annie at first sight. Thing about these two, they knew how to push each other’s buttons. I have to say though, when they loved it was full of passion.

The band in this book might be signing a record deal. They could be on their way to the top. But as we know in life things can happen that throws us stumbling blocks. Things that can make us feel like we are going thru the fire. Things that can throw our world upside down and when it rains it pours. Can relationships and friendships survive?

Logan was the last man standing of the DownCrash boys but he had seen Maggie’s friend, Annie hanging out at the garage one time. It’s all that it took was seeing her that one time because Logan knew that he wanted to see where things could go with Annie. They both had something in common right off and that was that both of their grandfathers played a huge role in their lives and both had been diagnosed with cancer. They had to watch the most important men in their lives fight for theirs’. Annie had a real chip on her shoulder and seemed like she did all she could by trying to push Logan to his breaking point. She pulled out the bitch card quite a bit. I have to say that she had reason to push the limit because the guy she had been dating long term and actually living with before this, one day told her that “oops sorry I got my other girlfriend pregnant”.

Logan knew that if he pushed through this wall that Annie put up there was a person there that he could get really serious about. Annie was there as the boys were breaking their way into the big times and was very supportive. But of course things can’t always go along great as you will have to read and see what these two had to go through in order to make it to their “happily ever after”. Believe me they had a couple of really big road blocks thrown at them. To what extent did these road blocks affect their lives together as a couple and as a part of the DownCrash family.

ARC given in exchange for an honest review

Wow. The author does it again with this book by keeping you focused and hooked from the start. I had a hard time putting the book down. This is a story that will touch your heart. This is Logan & Annie's story.

Annie left the relationship she was in after her boyfriend cheated on her. She decides to go to her best friend Maggie and stay with her. She becomes OCD until she meets Logan from DownCrash band, things start to change after that. Annie is trying to overcome her issues and Logan is there with her to help. Things change after Annie finds out something and when Logan gets bad news - Annie doesn't know what will happen.

Logan meets Annie and it's something that he can't ignore. He will do what he can to get to know Annie better and go from there. Logan understands that Annie has issues and he works with her on those. One night Logan gets the most worse news ever and goes down hill from there. Nobody can help him or get him out of the dark hell that he has found.

Logan & Annie will take you on a journey filled with a lot of different emotions and some that may touch your heart. This book had me in tears in some of the parts. Two people who learn what love really is and have to overcome a lot.

Great job to the author. I highly recommend.

Some Kind of Hell
Annie is a childhood and school friend of Maggie’s. She is obsessed with time; the colander is marked in relationship to things that have happened in her life. She needs a place to go, a place to get away from a long-time lover who has cheated. She thought things in her life were good, a little stagnant until Jared announces he is leaving her for his lover on the side that is now pregnant with his baby. Annie calls Maggie in a desperate state asking if she can stay with her.

Logan is the bassist for DownCrash. Annie is sad and Logan tries to help her find a reason to not be sad. He has been distant and moody for a long time because his grandfather has been battling cancer. He discovers that Annie’s grandfather is one reason she is so obsessed with the calendar, marking time from when her grandfather was diagnosed to the days he is in chemo. Logan shares that his grandfather has beaten cancer giving her hope. He tells her that it is Jared’s loss and to move on from that disappointment.

The Boys of DownCrash are on the cusp of becoming true Rockstars, come along for the ride.

Emotional, intense, heart pounding. Those are a few words to describe this story. Annie, I felt a connection to her, broken from heart ache of an ex cheated on her and got the woman pregnant and ripped Annie's heart out. Now Annie is staying with Maggie and getting to know a certain bass guitarist,Logan and feeling all scared falling for him but also afraid he will be the same as her ex. She is broken and he has a past of hurting, but his life will be like a bullet in a gun and will be changed with a death. What he does to Annie will put her thorough a test that accidentally happen to the test and if they can still be together as well as the band or it's splitsville for every one.

I received a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review. Annie is lost after breaking up with her ex. Not only did he cheat on her, but he knocked up the girl. She escapes the whole situation and moves in with her friend Maggie, bringing her to the attention of Logan. Logan himself is lost in other ways. The past keeps coming back to haunt him. Can these two overcome their differences? Can they help each other find what they are looking for? Read the final standalone trilogy of DownCrash and find out. Enjoy!

Ok I liked and did not like this book. Ok I felt so bad for Andy and I mean my heart broke for him cause of the way Scarlett treated him. He loved her and she was rude selfish and undeserving of his friendship. Yes I understand later in the book close to the end we find out why she is wishy washy with Andy, understand that but she should have not given him false hope and she exactly did that all the time. She never trusted no one. I love Tripp, he was awesome. The whole band is. I hope she writes a book about Andy finding someone all for him. Lord hope book 2 is better.

My problem with this whole series is the same. We get no description of our heroines, but I can overlook that. My main issue is that the resolutions are rushed. In this last book, I kept thinking how the heck can she wrap this up? I was 95% through and it still wasn't even beginning to wrap up. Then sure enough, everything was resolved in like 2 pages and it was so incomplete. Seriously, she has zero reaction to things that's should be emotional. I think this whole series could have been so much more...it just need more.

Great end to the DownCrash series. Annie and Logan had great chemistry. They brought each other back to life, especially in Annie's case. She lived by calendars, and when she met Logan her calendars went out the window, she started living life not planning it. Annie was there for Logan, through a tough time, even though he didn't want her to be and pushed her away. Great easy, fun read. All of DownCrash and their women's dreams come true.

I liked the book but it left me flat. I wish there was an epilogue! To me the story is not finished. The fact that in this book she references the band Chasing Cross makes me think that the collaboration between London Casey and Karolyn James may combine The Boys of Downcrash and the Brothers of Rock! I hope that is the fact!

Annie, Maggie's high school friend, has come to town after a bad breakup. Downcrash is starting to be noticed as a real band. Logan, the quiet bassist, sees something in Annie. Annie has come to town with a lot of baggage. As she starts to deal with her own issues, she discovers that the shy guy who has it all together comes with issues of his own.

I received this book for an honest review.
Logan had joked with Maggie about meeting Annie, and he met her for certain.
Annie had her hangups, but guess what, we all do. Logan was the one who had his as well.
When it got dark for him, it really got dark.
Loved how this turned out for all of the guys and girls.

Goodness, it's not often that one reads the third book of a series and is as intrigued as I was in book 1. In fact book threes characters Logan and Annie are the most interesting of the 6 couples in their journey of life.
I recommend this series to all.

I liked this one so much more than the first two! Annie was more realistic in how she dealt with things that went wrong, real and imagined. I liked the ending but was twisted up in heartbreak over what happened.
