Book 3 of Barbarian Claims series

Solar cycles ago, Elle bonded with Berke, the fiercest of all Warlords. He declared their sexually intense bonding a mistake, deposited Elle on a distant planet and returned to Chamele to fight a war. Elle dealt with their separation by creating one of the best bounty-hunter schools in the galaxies.

Now, two of her top students have made the same mistake she did, bonding with Chamele Warlords. Determined to develop an antidote and save them from the pain she’s experienced, Elle captures her barbarian mate. Tempers flare and passions burn as she thaws the ice around Berke’s heart, revealing a desire too strong to ever be dissolved.

Because the most savage lust and love is hidden within the coldest of Warlords.

Ok, so if you read the last book you know who Ellie is. She is the Academy’s head mistress. She is also Warlord Berke’s gerel. These two are meant to be together. Yes we know Berke wants to catch Tolui along with his brothers but it is never that easy. And with Ellie getting closer his need for her is going to pull at him. Elle was one tough cookie. She has a plan to kill him. I actually started laughing. When you first read what Berke says and does then read what Elle does. It is night and day. She is funny without meaning to be. And why do the brothers not tell the other what happens with having a gerel and all that it entails. They always keep it to themselves. I think you would save the other brothers’ heartache and death if they had a group chat. Beyond that this is hot. Ellie could give and take as much as Berke could and they both were demanding lovers.

What a thrilling story!
Respect and love, not too big a request, is it?
What an incredible reunion! One thing is for sure, the passion never slows in their story. Berke and Elle are consumed by it. They DO make an excellent team, when they decide to work together. Elle and Berke have several encounters with Tolui - up close and personal. He’s quite a mystery. Although we find out more about him, his actions don’t always match his obvious hatred of Berke. I am so curious now about what else will be revealed next. Warlord’s Mercy, please arrive soon!

So so so good

I love this series so much! This addition, Berke’s story, was everything I had hoped for. Berke and Ellie’s journey was fraught with mistakes and action, and I loved every single second of it. Berke needed to learn to share control, while Ellie needed to learn her value, and the two of them both needed to trust in each other. And the next story is Toulis(sp)! What!

Cynthia Sax writes books that make me anxious to start, enthralled during the reading, ready to see how they end and sad to finish... This story tells of a strong female, able and willing to make her own life. Her Warlord finds her and sends both of their lives on a dif path. But they come together - kind of, lol. Read on, HEA. VERY HOT! Whoo!

Awesome.

Berke is an idiot. I'm pretty sure that's the only explanation for some of his actions. Ellie is magnificent and I love her hard.

Series: Chamele Barbarian Warlords #4
Rating: 2 stars - It was ok

Solar cycles ago, Berke, one of the Chamele Warlords, found his mate but to protect her he sent her away. Elle now hates Berke for abandoning her and causing her daily agony. Unfortunately, she has to return to the Chamele sector to rescue two of her bounty hunters, and maybe get some revenge against Berke.

I have been wanting to see how Berke and Elle’s story would play out since I realized Elle was his missing mate in Warlord’s Bounty. This was a tense reunion that just showed that Berke is a very stubborn alien who isn't good at communicating. I don’t really enjoy the communication issue trope and it was pretty clear in this one. This whole separation wouldn’t have happened if Berke had actually talked about his feelings and fears with Elle. He would have seen they would have been stronger together.

I also feel that Elle gave in too easily. Berke ruined her career and abandoned her for a stupid reason, yet she forgave him pretty easy. It also bothered me how much Berke refused to believe Elle could take care of herself. She had to frequently show her skills and talk about her escapades as a bounty hunter to even penetrate that she could take care of herself. Also I hate that Berke never told anyone about her. She was like a dirty little secret and she even says that at one point.

Because of these issues, I feel I can’t give this book a higher rating. I wish I could have liked this one more but sometimes characters and situations just don’t work. I can’t imagine these two having a HEA because of these situations. I feel Berke is just going to keep repeating the cycle of not listening to her, not talking to her, and not trusting in her abilities.

Male And Female Warriors
If you love strong men and women getting their HEA, you’ll love the books in this series!
Chamele men are big, strong, possessive and protective warriors hoping to one day find their genetically unique mate, their gerel or light in their darkness. And their gerel, mostly human women, are strong, stubborn, sassy warriors in their own way. The stories are full of funny dialogues, steamy scenes, fighting and loving. Wonderful entertainment, I loved them all.

Warlord reunited

Berke is an arrogant control warlord who hid his mate away on a "safe" planet. Ellie had to fight off large predatory males while being blistered and burned whenever she touched them.

Warlord Reunited

What does it take to kill the man who has left you? Why it takes more than Elle can do as she learns why her Warlord left her. Now they must learn to understand and trust in each other. Recommend this book and series.

very different than the earlier version. you can see how Cynthia's writing style and character development have grown over the years. I enjoyed both versions of this book.

After reading the previous Warlord books, I wasn't too keen on reading this brother's story. Cynthia spins such a vivid tale that I actually developed an intense dislike for Berke that I truly hesitated to read his story.

I started the book with the surety that I would be proven right about Berke and that I would hate it. HA! Nope, I loved it too. The view that we have of Berke through the brother's books is of a cold & distant man who cares nothing for anyone but himself. By reading Berke's story we are able to see the man who is trying his best to take care of everyone at the risk of his own desires.

I'm glad that I trusted Cynthia's writing and read the book!

This third entry in the Barbarian Claim series is just as good as the other two and that’s really all that needs to be said. All are fun, sexy reads. The warlords may be barbarians but when it comes to the women they love, they certainly show a great amount of compassion, patience, and toleration. In a slight switch in characterization, it’s the women who are obstinate, disbelieving, and have to be brought around to their lovers’ way of thinking.

Warlord Reunited is the third in the Warlord series and it was a wonderful read. Elle has misunderstood Berke's past behavior and he slowly convinces her of her mistake through great hot love scenes and and by accepting her help against an interesting villain who is actually related to the warlord. Nice twist in this story along with a satisfying ending, especially for Elle. And yet . . . there will be more ;-)Warlord Reunited

These amazing 'Warlord' brothers have been in a fight with this one bad guy & his clone army for 10 yrs. This time the guy is within seconds of being caught and the brother has more important things to do then go after him.

This series is filled with supposedly capable female MCs that are actually ridiculously needy and 'warlord' MC guys that are useless in actually ending a war.

I've enjoyed several series by Ms. Sax but this is one I'm just trying to get through.

Much better start. The story line followed more of an erotic lead which left me wanting more of a story.
I was irritated with the constant misspellings of Elle and Ellie. But other than that i enjoyed this one a lot more than the previous two.

I'm pleased Berke and Elle worked out their differences. Berke had the potential to be frustratingly arrogant and difficult when it came to Elle but I think overall, the resolution was written well. Good read.
