Nonnie Crawford agrees to spend five nights with Michael Weston, five nights exploring her newly-discovered fascination with BDSM and her craving to submit herself, sexually, to a powerful, dominant man.

She wants to please the charming playboy, but Michael soon proves himself to be a stern taskmaster, pushing her further, faster than she prepared herself to go.

Even while she is drawn more tightly into Michael’s sexual hold, she cannot forget Gibson Reeves, the man who initially set her on this sensual journey. He invades her dreams, as inscrutable and commanding in her fantasies as ever he was in real life.

Soon enough, Nonnie will learn secrets about both men, realize that what seemed a simple decision, was not so simple after all.

And she will have to discover the answer to a difficult question before it’s too late. How far is too far?

Nonnie Crawford was now intrigue her trip to the bathroom was a night she could not forget. Now she wanted more but how had this moment changed how she was now thinking. So Nonnie decide to go back to place where she met the sexy, dark dominate stranger. No luck however she met a friend name Lilly which convinced her to try a new and different type of club.

Now off with her new friend on a new adventure Nonnie was excited and couldn't wait. In this new environment she couldn't believe what all she was seeing. That is when she and Lilly was greeted by a man that was willing to help Nonnie explore this new exciting side. Just as she was getting comfortable with this dominant across the room staring with a glare was the sexy, dark dominate stranger.

Now that she has finally seen him again what will Nonnie do? Go with this new Dominate that is willing to show and explore her limits or give in to the sexy, dark dominate that sent her on this journey in the first place? Cant wait to read the next book, excited!!!!!

Oh my! Well this was quite the book. Some parts were hot as hell and others pissed me off at characters so badly that it made me want to fling my Kindle across the truck.

Wish someone would read it so we could talk about it and I could actually say, "OMG! Could you believe it when..."

This book is a cautionary tale. I personally think the author should put a better, stronger warning to readers as it pushes the boundaries of true consent and there are elements that could trigger some people. There is a reason there are safewords and checklists. And that reason is for relationships to truly be safe, sane and consensual.

It's not just a BDSM cautionary tale either. There is a reason you have instincts, patently ignoring them because you want to believe what someone else says is a slippery slope. Ignoring reality because of the "love" fantasy in your head will not end well. Nonnie went from an unhealthy relationship with her ex-husband right into another one. She walked in blindly. She walked without truly thinking anything through and assuming lust/passion would lead to love, mistaking sexual interest for something more than what it is.

I am not a prude and I have no problem with consensual sex outside of a monogamous relationship. I do have a problem with carelessness and lack of regard for personal safety. Nonnie is the poster child for both.

In the end I am glad I kept reading and am pleased to say things didn't get as dark as I feared. Still, this book really needs to stand as a warning of what BDSM is NOT.

29 year old Nonnie is searching for something. It’s probably something two thirds of the universe is chasing.
I wanted to be swept away in a grand and passionate love affair. I wanted it to wrap itself around me and raise me out of the monotony I had made of my life, of myself. I needed that perfect love to vindicate my past.

I knew from book one The Businessman’s Tie, that she wasn’t going to find that in this book. Certainly not with Michael Weston – the man with the ‘charm’ of a continental playboy. (I have a whole lot more names galloping across my eyes, and none of them so nice). If you have read my review of book one, you will know that I read these books weeks ago and I have tried sitting down close to ten times now to get these reviews out of my mind and onto paper. This book was the one I knew would be the hardest. I simultaneously loved and loathed this book.

I loved the writing, I loved the way Ms Ward drew me in to this series, and this book and made it un-put-down-able. It was like a wreck. You know, one you don’t want to look at, but you are rubbernecking because you MUST see. But what I loved the most is that this book did something for me that none of the other BDSM books have done previously. It made me see that not all D/S relationships are healthy, or where the Masters pretend to put their own pleasure first when really the aim of their game is putting the submissive wholly on a pedestal and truly giving them what they desire/need before taking for themselves.
Sometimes life is a stingy bitch and won’t give you a single thing you want. And sometimes, life opens up and showers you with riches you never dared dream of getting.

I desperately wanted Nonnie to get what she was after, and the sad part for me was that she felt she had. I saw the warning signs and I tried shaking her. Truly I did. This was that book that I felt so connected with the story that I was part of it, and it was my right, no, responsibility to slap some sense into her and see that the;

image

BITE + NON-DATE + SPOONS + TERROR TUNES + HOOD + AUCTION + BEING DESERTED+ = BADDDDD NEWSSSSS
I felt like a broken doll, tossed in an unwanted heap.

The part I loathed was how Michael changed Nonnie. How he turned her from this woman who was determined to be her own woman and not be treated as a door mat came to feel that this torture and belittlement was a way of being shown love, and in fact, that perhaps continually believed that it was possibly her point of view that was screwy and not his.

I read The Playboys Proposition in one sitting and didn’t really breathe deeply until she got in that lift and rode it to the bottom, where she opened her eyes and realized I was right all along. I wanted to cry alongside of her, but I knew that she has spirit. Nothing gets our Nonnie down for long. I’m off to write my review for His Name Is Sir and I can tell you, it was hella hawt with a twist that I definitely didn’t see coming. Make sure you take the time to read book 3!

I have a lot to say about this book so if you don't want spoilers then look away people!

Okay...you're still here so here goes! I loved the first book and was okay with her decision to spend time with The Playboy first. He wasn't my choice but I went with it, her logic made sense. After that all hell broke loose. Now, I'm not in the lifestyle so all my experience comes from things I've read and I certainly know that a Dom/sub relationship is based on what the Dom and sub want, nothing more. But I never saw any questions, any safe words, any limits, turn on's and turn off's being taken from Nonnie. It was all about The Playboy and what he wanted. I'm not a clinical psychologist and have no training in that area what so ever but even I could see he was manipulating her.

Then I get to the punishment scene, his violent, brutal, abusive treatment of her was above and beyond what she should expect or get unless she confesses to being into pain and humiliation, which she had not. Her punishment and deprivation of her senses were totally uncalled for, but more so I was pissed at his taking away her ability to safe word if she needed to. He covered her head and gagged her, without giving her a hand signal or a bell to call out for help with.

I was seconds away from quitting the book at this point because of his treatment, the only reason I didn't was a selfish one. My mother passed away suddenly two years ago and since that time I have become almost embarrassingly panicked at any slight medical procedure my father has done. Today he had cataract surgery and it took them about twice as long as they relayed it should take. So I read this shocking, scary as hell book to keep my mind from drifting to the possible worst case scenarios that were causing my dad's procedures to go long. ONLY REASON!

By the time the nurse came out and told me that there was a problem but it was with the patient before my dad and that is what put them behind schedule I was to the point where I had to see if Nonnie would wise up and realize she was being used in a different way than her husband had used her, but used none the less. Thankfully I can say she did realize this and I was actually proud of her by the end of the book.

Now, I'm off to read the last book and hope Nonnie can maintain her new found independence while still finding a way to submit to a caring Dom who will take care of her!

This second book of The power to please series was just as great as the first. I demanded the second one to read for review. I was so anxious to see what Nonnie did next. To see how far Michael would push her limits.

Nonnie and Michael were great together. He showed her pleasure and pain she never knew she could feel or enjoy. Nonnie knew her vanilla life was not enough and this new found world of the BDSM scene is something new and exciting.

Michael is still sexy as hell with his crooked little smirk that gave Nonnie flutters in her belly every time. Michael was her Dom. He is supposed to teach her to e a good and obedient sub and Nonnie would do anything to please her Master. even if it was taking the punishment he was going to give her for not obeying his wishes of her.
What Nonnie didn't realize is that she also had the right to tell him no. She never considered that though. Alway yes Master..

I like Michael from the beginning but felt as if there was something missing. I think Nonnie did too and it frustrated me that when she felt his anger was unprecedented and he would convince her other wise she just accepted his arguments to be true. He was manipulating her naïvety and she let him get away with it. She would argue with herself for a while and finally talk herself into thinking she was actually wrong.

You find out so much more about the characters in his book. The Hoytes are awesome and funny and Elaine actually becomes a close and trusted friend that Nonnie needs.
Gibson isn't all what people see. There's more to him than just that and Nonnie feels a connection to him but she's with Michael and she's happy being his sub. She thrives on the pleasure of it all.being watched and fondled.

I'm very very excited to read the third and last book of this series. If you love sexy books this is one series you've got to read. The BDSM is so much that you are horrified. The opposite actually. I thought it was the perfect amount of sexy and I really enjoyed the great story that ties it all together.

I figured out where my comfort zone ends. This book brought me there and then skyrocketed me into fucksville with an asshole of epic proportions as the mayor. I would like to make a u-turn and head back towards rainbows and unicorns please. Seriously, people like one of the MC's in this book are why the BDSM community catches hell. He's everything a Dom shouldn't be. However it is clear how easily those unfamiliar and unwilling to ask questions from experienced folks can be manipulated into letting bad shit happen to them thinking its what is expected. Never trust a wolf in nice Dom clothing. There were several times I was angry with Nonnie. For going against her instincts and for not asking questions from other people. Then I felt horrible for her. It broke my heart to know how quickly her trust was shattered. This book went beyond what I find to be kinky, for me personally, and I realized that humiliation is something I could never be okay with in reality. Intense.

The Playboy's Proposition is the 2nd book in "The Power To Please" series by Deena Ward. It continues Nonnie's introduction to the world of BDSM. In this story, Nonnie has to decide whether or not she wants to embrace the submissive side of herself. She needs to learn that being a submissive doesn't mean that she's not a strong woman. She also needs to decide if Michael is the right Dom for her.
The sex in this book is HOT and intense. It also had a few dark scenes that showed the dangers of BDSM with an untrustworthy Dom. The way the author portrays the world of BDSM is very realistic and true.
I really enjoyed this book and how Nonnie grows throughout the story. I am looking
forward to reading the next book in the series.

I am a little unsure how many stars to give this book... It was pretty well written, but the way the story unfolds is frustrating. I kept thinking the main character (Nonnie) was making all these huge mistakes. How she could continue to play with Michael (her dom) was beyond me, he was such an ass most of the time. I kept thinking I must be spoiled by Lexi Blake ;)

The story plays out and all is explained, so that part worked for me. Also, I did download the next one... I don't know, it just doesn't rate 4 stars in my opinion - though I do recommend the series, the first one was really good The Businessman's Tie (The Power to Please, #1) by Deena Ward .

I really came to hate Michael. For Nonnie being a new sub Michael pushes a lot of boundaries. He never seems to take her innocence into mind. He doesn't protect her and makes numerous mistakes. Can't wait to read more.

Here's the second book in a set of four by Deena Ward. This book is however a bit more explicit--at least to me. I don't do spoilers, so you'll have to read the book/series. The entire series is written well and tastefully. When I read this genre, I do wonder just how far some ppl go or are willing to go. Deena did an excellent job with this and allowing us to see the progression of our main characters. I always find that there are many deep layers to men especailly-who partake in this lifestyle. The women too-didn't mean to ignore that fact. There are naturally, the predators out there who take full advantage of women that are looking for an honest D/s lifestyle and Deena did an awesome job at explaining this in her books. Safety first....

This book was absolutely great. A fun and fast paced read. I'll start by saying I'm really not a fan of erotica and this book is beyond erotica.... It's adult sex, dilemmas, complications and decisions. It is not too raunchy to where if you really don't read erotica you don't enjoy it it was an enjoyable read and I'm looking forward to reading the next book. From what I know of this lifestyle the book is fairly spot on but can be misleading because most Doms in real life aren't tie wearing millionaires. In the ending of this story I was cheering for Nonnie.....cursing at Michael.....rolling my eyes at Gibson and asking myself why don't I have friends like Ron and Elaine.... Lol.... Great book!

Safe....Sane and Consensual

This was a difficult book to read. But I think that was the whole idea. I think the author wanted us to figure out for ourselves that this went past the SS&C boundaries. I hated Michael right from the beginning. I hated that she allowed herself to be taken that way. But she was new and didn't understand. I think that is what the author wanted us to understand. I was pushed to read to the end, hoping that he would come around, but he did not, and I think that is what we were supposed to understand. There are people like Michael and nothing will change them. The question is...is that what you want or not? Great writing! Really evoked some thought instead of just being a romance with BDSM.

This book was so boring and annyoing and disgusting. Michael aka playboy was such an asshole who manipulated Nonnie over and over again. There was nothing sweet or sexy about their "dates". He was a creep who kept persuading her to do things she didn't really want to do. He's not a dom, he's an asshole!

I wanted to delete this book for every page that I read so I started skipping towards dialogue to see if stupid little Nonnie would come to her senses and tell him to fuck off. She took her time doing just that. Now I just read to see if she hooks up with Gibson Reeves and if Michael the asshole is miserable

I read this book from start to finish in one setting. I couldn't get enough! The majority of this book made me ... hot under the collar. At different points when reading, I found myself holding my breath while turning the page, eager and half afraid to see what would happen next. I will say that this book was graphic. It wasn't the kind that will scare you away, it just made me feel more for Nonnie. I felt that this book came alive in a way most books lack. At times, I could honestly imagine myself in Nonnie's place. It felt so real. I can't wait to read the next one!

Okay....This was even better than the first book in this series! What the main character Nonnie thinks about and how she comes to conclusions to settle her thoughts...awesome! Just bought #3! So glad these books are not short books thrown together to make a series. These are actual book size! If you want to read something different and definitely not for the faint of heart...read this book!

I really liked this book where we see more of the relationship between Nonnie & Michael.

There were times I wanted to strangle her for the choices she was making, but we see her growth at the end of the book. As usual, Deena Ward has an amazing voice and the ability to captivate readers!

While I enjoyed this book, I didn't like Michael Weston's manipulative lying ways with Nonnie. It was his job as her Dom to put her needs first & take care of her & too many times he failed her miserably. I have wanted Nonni with "The Businessman" from the beginning.

This was more difficult to get through. I won't spoil anything but the balance or self respect and self exploration was definitely explored in this book. Ultimately I gave it three stars b/c I wanted more Gibson. On to book 3 where I think I'll be getting it.
