A very comprehensive book for beginner astronomy hobbyists, or anyone just curious to know more about the planets, constellations, stars, etc in general.

A large part of the book is devoted to identifying constellations (which didn't quite interest me), but there is also lots of information about the various planets in our solar system. I liked that each planet is "dissected" so you can see its core and the different layers that comprise it. The book also features various nebulae and tells you what you can see within them, and talks about supernovas, comets, meteors, etc. And the last part of the book tells you how to observe objects with telescopes - what kinds to buy, how you can set them up to observe specific objects in the night sky, etc.

The only problem was the editing. Sometimes obvious errors were missed: e.g. the use of "its" instead of "it's", and the grammar was not good in certain sentences, making the meaning of the sentence unclear or even wrong.

This book is not ideal for elementary grade students, but as one who was very fond of learning about astronomy, I added this book in. The images in this book is brilliant. They capture the world beyond planet Earth quite well.
