The Simpsons are shaking off the status quo when they take the show on the road with a musical extravaganza produced by maestro of renown, Krusty the Clown. Then, Dr. Nick's cosmetic quackery is called into question, but the "good" doctor may serve a purpose in the shaky medical establishment that few are willing to admit. And after winning a law license in a bar bet, Homer becomes the hottest lawyer in town, but it is not long before HE is fending off the FBI, only to find himself in a federal prison surrounded by former friends and foes and facing a shakedown.

The Simpsons comic series has probably gotten more five stars ratings from me than any other series, so I was pretty bummed when I heard Bongo Comics was ceasing operations, which means no more Simpsons comics. (At least until someone else picks up the license, if they already haven't.)
The comics are consistently entertaining, and since the art mirrors the animated series art, it's not something that varies much. That could be bad with a regular comic, but for this series it works.
The silver lining is there are still plenty of Simpsons comics I haven't read yet so it will be a while before I run out of Simpsons reading material. As I always say, if you like the TV series you'll probably enjoy the comic.
The book was pretty good. It's great for people who don't like reading. It's good to start off with a comic book and move up little by little. I'm getting into reading more. I never had the patience to read a book because I couldn't imagine it. I would of rather watch a movie than reading. Reading is helping to get better at my English. I was always bad at it, so I never liked it. I never had the help or pushed to reading. Reading the Simpsons Shake-Up Comic is getting me into reading more.
Really amazing and detailed stories! I really liked how they had many stories that had many amazing and funny ideas. Most of the stories were really good! I liked the story called ¨A Roaming Holiday¨ this one was my favorite because it showed the Simpsons family traveling while there pets (dog & cat) spent there summer vacation too. And at the end of the story, the Simpsons think there pets were sitting on the ground were they saw them last instead of what the pets did. (I really enjoy this one!
A roaming holiday: The Simpsons vs their cat & dog left behind! Dr. Nick @ Night - three surprising stories - esp. the hair sticking together of the 2 smoking sisters (LOL)
It's another collection of Simpsons Comics pick-me-ups starring not just everyone's favorite dysfunctional family but the insane residents of Springfield too!
In this volume:
+Homer becomes a defense attorney who actually wins cases due to his unconventional style of lawyering. But does he have what it takes to bust Bart from a seemingly unbeatable arson charge? +Mr. Burns frames Homer for selling nuclear materials to enemy agents. While it looks like Homer is going to be doing hard time, he learns that things aren't as bad as they look; even with Sideshow Bob as a jail mate! +Then the whole Simpsons clan find themselves as the stars of Krusty's new off-Broadway show: Simpsons: The Musical! +Learn what vacation life is like for Snowball II and Santa's Little Helper when the Simpsons head off on a month-long road trip. +Lastly, in my favorite story of the bunch, Dr. Nick faces a medical review board and must defend himself as the only doctor in town willing to do the medical work no other self-respecting physician will touch!
That final story was a lot like my all-time favorite episode '23 Short Film About Springfield.' While I love Bart, Homer and Marge, I love it when the episodes focus more on the town folk. It just seems like more unusual and albeit riskier things can be done with those characters than with the Simpsons clan. Although, the creativity of that Attorney Homer story was brilliant!
Simpsons Comics are always a great pick-me-up during times of great stress. I always seem to find a new collection when I need it most. And right now, as I wait to hear back from a highly desired job interview, I haven't needed a laugh this badly in a very long time.
Thank you Matt Groening and the staff of Bongo Comics. You will be missed, but not forgotten or unappreciated!
This book was a lot of fun to read because its funny. Also there were multiple stories instead of just one. This book is not the best Simpsons book but also not the worst. There were some boring parts but most of the book was filled with comedy.
