An introduction to The Flash, with appearances from Wonder Woman, Batman, Superman, and Martian Manhunter, wherein the Justice League members work together to send a group of escaped super-villains back to jail.
The copious action, colorful illustrations, and figurative language are reminiscent of many comic books, and the Justice League members' combined efforts model teamwork and proactivity.
my kids loved this book. it's a great book for beginner readers. the kids loved the illustrations and the story. I would recommend this book to others.
I was browsing my library's internet catalog when I came across this title and decided to read it. Evidently that decision was based entirely on the title and the thumbnail of the cover and not actually reading the description--I didn't realize this was book for early readers. [sigh]
The book starts with a quick [heh] introduction of Barry Allen as the Flash, brings in the Justice League, followed by a few pages of fighting villains.
While it wasn't the comic book/graphic novel I was expecting, it's still ok.
2014 Science Fiction This book describes The Flash and how he became a super hero. He joins up with the rest of the Justice League to take down the Villains that escaped from jail. I definitely see this as being appealing to young readers that are interested in action and super heroes.
