I have read a few mer stories in the past and was extremely disappointed with them. I was skeptical going into this series! Im happy that I was able to read this. It kept me interested and not wanting to put it down. The stories were very well executed and had strong characters. It was imaginative and very original. Definitely a good series to pick up! Garr is definitely one to be on the lookout for. You will not be disappointed!

Amber Garr has done it again! LOVE LOVE LOVE New Adult Paranormal Romance that has a real solid plot in addition to the romance. Beautifully done!

Promises:
This is one of our favorite mermaid series! Amber Garr does not disappoint with this book, the fantasy and romance start from the moment you start this book to the end. Amber's writing is filed with so much detail and she has an imagination unlike anyone else.
Eviana is a mermaid in love with the wrong person. She is arranged to marry Kain. The problem is she has loved Brandon a selkie for as long as she can remember. Her family and all the mermaid clan is opposed to that happening.
There is one scene and we won't spoil any thing but when Eviana has to go away with Kain, and they stay on a house boat together. Let us just say we feel in love with one of our number one book boyfriends at that point and we totally swooned. We loved the banter and chemistry through out the book.
We loved this book and are in love with Kain. I am just saying. This book was so well written and with so many mermaid stories out there this was a stand alone. It was imaginative and very original. We loved the other creatures introduced. We wont spoil cause you should read it but some have not been in other mermaid books we have read recently. So pick this up and you will be glued from start to finish.
We are giving Promises 5 out of 5 Stars. Amber Garr created this world with no detail left out. Amber's imagination is out of this world and will pull you in and not let go. This is a must read.
Betrayal:
We always get nervous after a really great first book if the rest of the series is going to continue to meet the expectations that have been set. Amber Garr proved with Betrayal that she can and did, she far exceeded our expectations with this amazing sequel. It was flirty, full of action, and made you feel so many different emotions!
Eviana has come back broken and alone. She has to patch up the mess she left in the wake of her absence. Brandon wants time to sort things out. Eviana gave up everything and has a hard time with Brandon's decision. With power hungry enemies Eviana has to get it together and fast.
Eviana has to prove herself to the counsel. In the process hopes to win back Brandon. Then enters the new hotty Graham. With his accent and flirtatious ways. You will be swooning. When Graham is forced to to accompany her while Eviana trains so she can reach her potential and stop anyone else she cares about from getting hurt, things definitely heat up!
We loved this book. It is the most beautiful mermaid world. We am still in love with Kain, but Graham will definitely have you swooning and heart stop a few beats! I mean who doesn't love someone who is sure of himself, at least sometimes! But Kain is still my book boyfriend!!! We love the fact that Kain finds his power and new sense of strength. This is a great book series and we highly recommend picking it up. We am giving this book 5 out of 5 stars! Amber did not disappoint with this 2nd book.
Arise:
Amber Garr managed to have a series where all three books were equally as outstanding!!! This amazing final book ended leaving us breathless! We absolutely loved this series it was well written, full of romance, fantasy, and imagination.
In this Final book there is tragedy, love, faith, romance, strength, betrayal. So much happens and nobody is the same. With Eviana kidnapped by her father. He wants her to unite with him and take over.
Kain will risk everything to rescue Eviana. Brandon still is in love with Eviana and always will be and he joins in the fight. Graham wants Eviana to join him as well. Eviana will have to choose who she belongs with. Nothing will be the same in this epic conclusion.
We loved this book. We jumped right into this book right after reading Betrayal and were not able to put it down. This series was addicting. We still love Kain though, lol. We liked the glimpse we got into more supporting characters in this final book. This is a must read for anyone who loves mermaid stories. Amber Garr has created such a unique and incredible world. This whole book is a 5 out of 5 stars , along with the whole series!

this was definitely not what i was expecting at all. i was thinking love triangle with a bit of paranormal mermaid-ness, but i was pleasantly surprised with so much more. the water creature mythology and the politics of the mer-world really drew me in and left me with a lot of questions. what does it truly mean to be a leader in this world? why is everyone so young?
i'm really glad this was sold as a full set of books, because each didn't feel quite like an entire stand-alone book, only a part of something larger. in fact, i don't even remember where one book stops and the other starts amongst all of the action. and action there was. lots of it. attacks & battles galore along with delicious drama, romance, misdirection, surprises, and even some tenderness.
i really grew to love the characters despite all of their insecurities and flaws. and though there is much heartbreak and sacrifice, i'm glad things ended the way they did.

This box set was wow! I loved almost every aspect of it except for the doomed relationship of Eviana and Brendan he was my favorite:( it's a great read and has multiple plot twist and possible love interest and a heroin who isn't afraid to kick butt and voice what she's thinking.

I enjoyed the stories and some days it was hard to put the ebook away.
