How to Plot a Payback

Rate this book
He crossed an ocean, and it still wasn't enough to escape his lifelong nemesis. Now he has to work with her.

Successful screenwriter Finn Masters just landed his dream job writing for Neighbors, one of Hollywood's highest-rated, longest-running sitcoms. The only downside? It will put him back in proximity of the show's universally adored, optimistic, altruistic star, Lavender Rhodes, who has been inadvertently ruining his life since they were school chums in England. But she doesn't even know she destroyed his acting career and wrecked his relationship with the love of his life.

He's not about to let this woman yank yet another dream out from under his feet. In fact, he realizes he's been given the ideal opportunity to plot his payback: spinning her character in shocking new directions.

What could go wrong? Only everything. As Finn's not-so-brilliant plot backfires one scene after the next, catching him in the blasts, he's forced to think about this impossible, infuriating... and maybe even lovable woman in an entirely new light.

Super cute!!! Melissa Ferguson’s romcoms lean more on the com than the rom, and this book is no different, delivering chuckles and giggle with an effortless writing voice, witty dialogue, and a cast of lovable characters. I was totally on board as soon as I read the premise, especially since it’s a storyline I haven’t already read more than a dozen times (give me all the fresh plots please!). You could say this is a grump/sunshine (although he’s really not all that grumpy), enemies-to-lovers (although the hard feelings are only one sided and misguided at that), slow burn, but I just call it a cute little romp of a book

There are two things I think readers contemplating this grumpy-sunshine romance ought to consider: one, you kind of have to buy the premise that a grown man is going to hold childhood accidents against a woman, as well as other opportunities, and not come across as a complete coconut, and two, you've got to be willing to be thrown into the breathlessly swift, sensory intensity of the writing style.

Oh. There's a third one, but only for dog lovers: don't let your heart stop when the heroine Lavender blithely tries to foist ten dogs on people unwilling to take them, without acknowledging that adopting a dog is a lifetime commitment for the dog. (All the dogs come out fine.)

That said, the absolutely crazy, high-octane of a writer's room was so well evoked, adding to the headlong dash of this story. Watching Finn, our hero, smack into his own unreasonable expectations was part of the fun, as sweet, somewhat skitty Lavender blithely and generously sheds sunshine all around her.

The payback happens about two thirds of the way through. We build up to that point, and the payoff I thought was well done, with a lot of delicious side trips into quirky characters, including a bunch of oldsters whom Finn looks out for in his grumpy way. Of course Lavender is going to take right to that action.

I found it a fun, delightful read overall.

➳ Writing
The writing flows very well not making it difficult at all to get through the book. There were plenty of funny lines and cute scenes that could have been cringy but were super cute!
➳ Plot
Basically this guy named Finn thinks that this girl named Lavender is a terrible person and just wants to ruin everybody's life. But as he get's to know her because of course he is forced to work with her as her producer he starts to realize that maybe she isn't so bad.
➳ Characters
Finn is very skeptical and pretty stubborn but he does have a big soft spot for Lavender.
Lavender super sweet and sunshine but is such a people pleaser to the point where if everyone if happy about something she'll use her tremendous acting skills to make it seem like she's happy.
➳ My thoughts
I thought it was so fun but it's advertised as a romance when it's closer to a fiction of Finn not judging a book by its cover. Overall I had a great time listening to this and I would recommend this if you want something fast and heartwarming!
Thank you Netgalley and Melissa Ferguson for an ARC of this in exchange for an honest review!

Karma is not a nice lady. Isn't it just like her that when you think she is finally working on your side she turns around and smacks you upside the head. This book is hilarious, and I love the plot of Finn deliberately trying to take revenge on his evil nemesis (in his mind at least) and it boomerangs on him. Despite the rather obvious homage to Jennifer Annison and Friends I loved this wonderful little Rom-Com, but I thought the ending was a tad rushed.

Finn Masters has suffered agony and defeat, and he lays it all at the feet of America's latest sweetheart, Lavender Rhoades. Now - it's time for a little payback. He has landed his dream job of writing for television's top Rom-Com and he is not going to let his Lavender hex curse it for him. Famous last words. The curse is alive and well and causing Finn more trouble.

Lavender Rhoades is the star of "Neighbors". In its tenth year it is still going strong, but in need of some fresh ideas and that is where Finn comes in. He has some ideas, all right, ideas on how to serve up the perfect payback. But the lovely Lavender is exactly the same wonderful, adored, sweet, optimistic and caring person off the screen as she is on it. Drat, exacting payback is going to be like kicking a puppy.

My thanks to the Publisher and Author for providing a complimentary digital Advanced Reader Copy (ARC) of this novel via NetGalley. This is my fair, honest and personal review. All opinions are mine alone and were not biased in any way.

2.5 stars, rounded down? I guess? I’m very undecided about this one

Right off the bat, I had trouble connecting with the writing style. It just did not work for me, which is odd to me because I’ve read other books by this author and enjoyed the writing style. This was just flat and very surface level. Finn’s reasons for disliking Lavender might have been reasonable at the time, but her first grievance against him happened over a decade ago. I think the foundation of the hatred might have made more sense if it had been presented as a series of flashbacks where we got to see Lavender do these things to Finn. Just putting them on a list was very much told and not shown.

I didn’t really like either one of the characters. Because the reason for the hatred wasn’t well developed, Finn just came off as really petty and Lavender was just too perky for my liking.

I did love all the dog elements (that puppy was so cute!) and I liked Finn’s community of neighbors. They were all so sweet. There were some funny moments as well, like all the strange plot twists Finn came up with for the show. Those were really fun.

Thank you, NetGalley, Thomas Nelson Fiction for an early copy of this book.

How To Plot a Payback is a brilliant, funny, and super cozy rom-com.
I liked everything about this book. The character personalities, the plot, the pace, and the writing.

This was my first book from this author and I have to say I´ll read something else from her because I had a great time.

The romance was not the main plot here, it was a slow burn, with zero spice, but it fitted perfectly the pace of the story.

Finn Master promised to never utter her name again out loud, because every event that went wrong in his life (yes he is now a successful writer, but that is not the point) was her fault. He wrote a list reminding him why he will never forgive her and he clings to it very dearly. So when he is offered the job position of a lifetime, one he cannot refuse, he finds himself in direct contact with the bane of his existence, America's sweetheart and his biggest nightmare, Lavander Rose.

Lavender Rose is a people pleaser, she knows the most loved show in America history runs on her shoulders and she must not disappoint. But what about her family back in London? What about the experiences of playing different characters?
When a new producer is hired though, he has different and biggest ideas and Lavander is immediately captivated, also she seems to know him, but from where?

If you love:
- laughing out loud
- Unsuccessful paybacks
- Sassy eighty-years-old
- Misbehaving dogs
- Sweet and head in the cloud FMC
- Fakely brooding MMC
Then this is your cup of tea.

How to plot a Payback is out on April 2nd and you cannot miss it! ♥️

Ok this was such a cute story! If you like grumpy/sunshine romance tropes, this is the book for you. It’s lighthearted, humorous, and a quick read.

Even with Finn’s hard exterior and need for revenge, you can’t help but love him. And Lavender, although maybe a little naive, is a total sweetheart that is always looking out for others and doesn’t let anything get her down.

I really enjoyed listening to this story and the narrators were perfect for these characters.

Thanks NetGalley and HarperCollins Christian Publishing for the opportunity to listen to and review this audiobook.

A joy! Just an absolute joy! I love how Ferguson’s stories are just a burst of sunshine and pure entertainment. Each year I’m always looking forward to her latest sweet romcom, and How to Plot a Payback brought all the charm and quirkiness I love!

𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗮𝗽𝗽𝗲𝗮𝗹𝗲𝗱 𝘁𝗼 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗺𝗼𝘀𝘁 𝗶𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗿𝘆?

Everything, everything, EVERYTHING!! I loved the characters, the plot, the building romance, the humor, just everything!! And it gets even better - This book is set in the TV production world! Need I say more!?!

How was the romance?

I loved following Finn and Lavender’s building romance and found myself rooting for them to find each other from the very first chapter.

🔥Steam Level - Clean romance

How was the pace?

This was a fast-paced story that I couldn’t get enough of.

Do you recommend this book?

You bet I do!! I’m sure you could tell by my obnoxious use of exclamation marks at this point. If you are looking for a fun story to lose yourself in, that is full of lively characters and humor, then I hope you pick this book up to read soon.

How was the audiobook?

I could not stop listening to this book after I started it! Listening to the story unfold through both POV and with two narrators really brought more life and emotions as this slow burn romance unfolded.

Thank you Thomas Nelson, TLC and NetGalley for my gifted copies in exchange for my honest opinion.

3.5 Stars (rounded down)

A breezy rom-com centered around Finn and Lavender, two British ex-pats living and working in Hollywood. Lavender is unknowingly Finn's nemesis and when they end up working for the same television sitcom, it becomes the perfect stage for Finn to begin exacting his revenge.

No spoilers, but fans of this sort of trope/genre will be able to easily guess what happens. Found myself rolling my eyeballs and shaking my head at several very ridiculous scenarios but ultimately I got what I was here for, a light easy read.

I thought this book was super cute! It’s a sweet and wholesome slow burn romance that starts out as a guy plotting his revenge for the woman he blames for ruining his life. She doesn’t know that he has a vendetta against him and they end up falling for each other! Overall I’d recommend and I’m excited to read more of her books!

As usual, Melissa’s rom-com delivered chuckles and giggles and witty dialogue from a cast of loveable characters. It’s a storyline is fresh and hasn’t been done a bazillion times, at least that I have read anyway, and has my fav tropes-grumpy/sunshine or enemies to lovers (although I wouldn’t really call them enemies as the bad feelings are one sided and kind of misguided really)
Finn sets out to get back at Lavender for what he thinks is a list of wrongs she has done to him over the course of them knowing each other, the thing is, Lavender has no idea that Finn thinks she is such an awful person. When they are forced to work with each other, she as an actress and he as her new head writer, he starts to realize that maybe she isn’t completely awful after all.
Lavender is America’s sweetheart and has been playing in a long running show for years. She’s ready to move on but the world isn’t ready for her to let go of her character. When Finn is hired as her producer, he has a new set of ideas and ways to make changes and Lavender is captivated by him despite the fact that he seems familiar but she can’t figure out how she knows him.
Even during Finn’s childish attempts at payback and petty revenge, I found both characters loveable and I was totally invested in their story. And then once he finally got over it all, it got even better and they just made sense together. Their first kiss was swoon worthy. Slow and sweet like a summer peach.
This story is witty and funny and I enjoyed every bit. It is clean, feel-good and lighthearted and the perfect beach read. I see this as being big this summer.

Audiobook Rating: 5/5

I wanted to love How to Plot a Payback I really did, but unfortunately, this one fell a little short for me. I loved Melissa Ferguson's book The Dating Charade, so when I saw this book on the Libro.fm ALC offerings, I knew I had to grab it. It had all the makings for a wonderful romcom including but not limited to adorable animals and plenty of tension, but I just did not believe the romance between Finn and Lavender at all. That being said, I did love the characters and this was the kind of light read that would make the perfect beach read.

I saw some complaints about the audiobook, but thankfully I didn't have any issues with it at all and I loved Fiona Hardingham & Steve West as Lavender and Finn! Lavender is a little over the top (in the best way) and I loved how Hardingham really brought that to life through her narration. West made the perfect Finn, and together they were just a terrific pair of narrators that I didn't want to stop listening to. How to Plot a Payback definitely falls into the grumpy/sunshine trope which I am quite fond of, and I thought that piece was done exceptionally well. I do love Ferguson's writing, and just because this fell a little flat for me doesn't mean you should skip it. There is no spice or swearing either, so if you love a clean romcom with cute animals, I would grab this one!

Thank you to the publisher and Libro.fm for my complimentary listening copy of this book. All opinions and thoughts are my own.

From page one, I totally fell for Finn’s snark. Adored it. I also loved how invested he was in their feud and how oblivious Lavender was. I found myself hoping the story would evolve into a “she falls first" scenario. Now I've finished the book, I’m not even sure who fell first … but I don’t care because I loved it 😍 anyway…

If you’re in the mood for a hilarious and heartwarming rollercoaster ride through Hollywood, “How to Plot a Payback” is your golden ticket. Melissa Ferguson masterfully delivers a delightful enemies-to-lovers rom-com that had me laughing out loud and rooting for the quirky duo from start to finish.

The story follows Finn Masters, a successful screenwriter with a grudge, and Lavender Rhodes, his longtime nemesis turned sitcom star. Their chemistry crackles with tension and humor as Finn’s elaborate revenge plots hilariously backfire, forcing both characters to confront their past and their feelings for each other. The dynamic between Finn and Lavender is electric, filled with witty banter and unexpected twists that keep you eagerly turning the pages.

Ferguson’s clever writing shines through in the charming, laugh-out-loud scenes and the tender, heartwarming moments that balance the narrative. The behind-the-scenes look at a Hollywood sitcom adds an extra layer of fun, making it a perfect read for fans of romantic comedies and anyone who loves a good laugh.

In short, “How to Plot a Payback” is a rom-com gem that you’ll want to savor. Grab this book, sit back, and enjoy the ride—it’s a delightful blend of humor, romance, and a bit of Hollywood magic

She’s the star of America’s favorite sitcom. He’s just been hired as a writer.
The only problem is, he can’t stand her (he has his reasons).

One thing I love about sweet romcoms is their ability to let me sink into a love story that doesn’t cause anxiety, make me blush, or make me to think too much. Especially when current things in life feel heavy, I cannot overstate how much I appreciate lighter reads. However, there have been times when this category can start to feel a bit formulaic or just lack that extra originality that sets them apart from all the rest.

Which is why—

How to Plot a Payback was such a breath of fresh air in the romcom category. It felt fresh and had some delightful elements that gave it a little extra something. I loved the behind-the-scenes peek at writing a sitcom and the 90s nostalgia that came with it (even if thinking of Friends brings its own bittersweetness these days 😭). It was witty and funny and even cringey at times when looking at all the reasons the two main characters were enemies at the start. But every bit of it felt fun and I couldn’t wait to keep reading.

This comes with no content warnings (no language or sexual content), so I wholeheartedly recommend it if you’re looking for some lighthearted fun in your reading.

Many thanks to Netgalley and Thomas Nelson for the advanced review copy. How to Plot a Payback releases in April 2024.

This is a cute, fun rom-com that many readers will love. It's a cute grumpy/sunshine trope with a slow burn romance. The characters are not what they first appear to be from the outside, but in the best way possible. I also liked the storyline with the famous actress and the script writer. The characters were likeable and the story was well done.

After a horrible reading slump of approximately 24 hours, I finally settled on reading this book, my absolute lifesaver! Now, you may be questioning as to why a reading slump of 24 hours is so horrible. Well, let me tell you, when you’re someone who’s used to consuming books 24/7, it’s a great tragedy to not be able to read for any length of time. Any book that helps get me out of a momentary slump is my new hero!

Okay, enough about my slump; let’s jump into this story. This book had a strong start and I love that in a story! It was one of those books that instantly hooks you and keeps you hooked, which is not an easy feat to be sure. I found myself chuckling, and just being highly entertained in general by these characters.

Finn Masters had a large bone to pick with his transgressor, who shall not be named. Time after time, she has succeeded in ruining his life and, to make matters worse, she’s been completely oblivious of the repercussions of her actions. Now it’s time for Finn’s big break: he’s been hired to be the new supervising producer for the very popular sitcom, Neighbors! There’s just one drawback though; the leading star of the show is none other than his transgressor, Lavender Rhodes. What could go wrong?

Lavender had me cracking up so much with her naivety! She existed to bring others happiness by gifting them the thing they didn’t know they needed, like a puppy or a significant other. Lavender considered herself to be an amazing matchmaker, always bringing the perfect people together. This certainly never backfired, unless Finn Master’s happened to be involved 😂

What do you get when you put Finn and Lavender together? Imminent disaster. After Lavender has ruined his life yet again, Finn is ready to start plotting a payback. But then with all of her charm, Lavie manages to turn Finn’s heart against himself and his better judgment and soon feelings begin to develop between the transgressor and the transgressed.

Top Moments:
🎬 Lavender and her ten dogs
🎬 Finn’s disastrous first day
🎬 Mrs. Teaberry’s cats
🎬 The vet incident
🎬 Baby chicks
🎬 Adam, the ex
🎬 Evening with Finn’s neighbors
🎬 Acting out the baby script
🎬 “The Neighbors”

I received and reviewed an advanced copy of this book and I am honestly grateful for this opportunity. But I’m sorry I didn’t really like the book.
I had trouble connecting to this story. I didn’t like the writing style; it is often all over the place. For example: one chapter is about Lavender trying to get het co-worker to take a puppy, while this co-worker is doing her own make-up because she sacked her make-up artists because blah blah blah (long story), but she needs a puppy because she is following influencers who organize her entire life, which is why she threw all her books in the bin, followed by an endless list of things that this co-worker re-organized - aaarrggghhhh! I kinda lost track of the storyline here. But it goes on and on. Then on to her other co-worker Kye, whom she tries to take another one of these dogs, but then you get an summary of the different looks on his face and in which episode he showed this look; then onward to the differences in the dressing table, where she can find the lipstick, all the things that happened in this dressing room (divorces, break-ups, everything is mentioned), and back to a list of every item in the room. Then after many years Finn finally got his ultimate dream job, he decided to be more than half an hour late on his first day at the job in order to help a PA handling ten dogs find new owners?! Very unrealistic and again toooooo manyyyy details!!
I tried to trudge on but the book it looks like the author wanted to put as much detail into the story as possible, and to use as much words as possible. It was a overwhelming and slowed down the story.
Finn’s attitude was quite childish. His list of ‘transgressions against Finn Masters’ is quite frankly, ridiculous and petty. He missed or was late for some appointments and a date gone sour or didn’t get picked for a job opportunity, but to blame Lavender for that? And thus calling her a ‘dragon’, knowing full well the plumes of smoke from the distant town are her doing - I think he’s highly immature and overreacting. Lavender wasn’t a dragon, a nasty, horrible woman, but she seemed superficial and shallow.
I think this book had a lot of potential; the idea of a famous tv actress and a script writer was a good idea but the execution wasn’t working for me, unfortunately.
All thoughts and opinions are my own.

Finn Masters is a screen writer. Lavender Rhodes a TV star. Who Finn loathes because hate isn't a strong enough word. She is caring and sweet, he only cares about himself. What will happen when these two are forced to work together on the same show?
The start of this book got me hooked and I was sure this would be a 4 or 5 star, but unfortunately it faded. Finn was my favorite character but he turned meh after reading a few chapters. Lavender was cute but felt overdone. These two were the complete opposite of each other and didn't feel believable as a romantic couple.
Idk, it was a promising at the beginning but I grew bored of it, so I skimmed most of this book until the end.
If you like enemies/co-workers-to-lovers, actor/screenwriter plot, grumpy x sunshine, rom-com, or need an easy read romance novel then this one's for you. Hopefully it'll be someone else's next favorite read, it unfortunately wasn't mine.
Happy reading!♥️

Audiobook (wonderful narration)
I was having a not-so-great time of it (you know, life happens) so when I was ready for a new book to read, I wanted something fun and up-lifting. A friend recommended this book to me months ago. I bought it, and it has waited in my TBR for just the right moment. This was it.

What a fun read. I smiled so often. I didn’t mind at all that Finn wanted payback for all those “wrongs” that happened due to Lavender. Despite that, he was obviously a good guy. And Lavender was refreshingly clueless to what he wants to do/is doing. She is charming in her innocence, a deliberate innocence because she has learned the type of person she wants to be. In addition, I did not see how Finn would resolve the career situation, and I loved what that turned out to be.

Robin’s Ratings
5🌟 = Out of this world. Amazing. Unforgettable. A personal favorite.
4🌟 = Loved it. Will recommend to others.
3🌟 = Liked it. Glad I read it.
2🌟 = The book was okay, but I’ve enjoyed others so much more.
1🌟 = I didn’t like it and can’t recommend it.

This book will always be my safe haven <3
Ahhhhhhh, it's such a stress relief and joy inducer. That's what quality writing is supposed to make you feel. This is what Romantic Comedies are supposed to be <3 <3 <3

Melissa Ferguson, this is my first book of you, but bless you honey for the magnificent gift.

And to my Good Reads friends (and whomever may read this review): here's the premise and I'm sure you'll find it original like I did. (if you're curious about the execution then I'll leave the verdict to your personal taste and judgement after reading the novel)

So, Finn is a brilliant TV-screen writer, he's grumpy and sarcastic, and hates one person with a passion. That person is the reason behind every bad thing happening to him.

It's Lavender the heroine of the Tv- show, Finn is writing. BUT, here's the catch. Lavender does not know that she is the thorn is Finn's side (has been since teenage years) She's not even on a speaking terms with him (before joining the show)

And once they kept interacting (hilariously so in maaaaany hilarious scenes) you discover that Lavender is so sunshine that will blind you with cheerfulness. But borderline delulu girl.

The mix between Finn and Lavender's personas is explosive, chaotic and so funny that you'll beg for a series depicting in live action their unique love story.

You can't tell me he spent 85% of this book plotting her downfall, being petty, writing lists of how he's been wronged and holding on to his years long grudge - and then he's suddenly IN LOVE ?!? And she's the best thing since sliced bread?? PLEASE

And don't get me started on Lavender's character-

There's absolutely no chemistry between them. And the ending solved nothing.

Anyways

When I pick up a book written by Melissa Ferguson, I know it will be full of fun dialogue, crazy events, and wonderful romance. This book doesn’t disappoint!
In this story, I was so ready for Finn to finally be able to get his revenge—oh, I mean, justice. I hurt for him and sympathized with him because of the many things that Lavender did to his life.
If an author can make a reader dig deep into their emotions and feel all that the characters are experiencing, then this is a great author and one I want to read.
Melissa Ferguson is that kind of author. Her skills are amazing, and each of her books leaves you wanting to be a part of these characters’ lives. Her characters are relatable and very entertaining. I wonder where she comes up with all the things these two main characters did to each other.
So entertaining! I would love to see this as a movie; I know it would be a hit!
I LOVED the fun dialogue, the quirky characters, and the sweet touch of romance that makes up this book. The whole story moved so smoothly from one moment and crazy event to another. There are also touching moments that will sit in the reader’s mind for a long time.
I know that whenever I hear Melissa Ferguson has a new book written, I’m going to jump right in and get it!
I highly recommend you pick this book up for a fun read!

"Lavender Rhodes takes my well-laid plans and throws them out the window, no matter what, I can't ever seem to take control of the situation around her. I plan to destroy her, but backtrack to the point of apology. I plan to stay as far away from her as possible, but end up beside her. I plan to hate her, but somehow fall in love with her."

She’s the star of America’s favorite sitcom. He’s just been hired as a producer of the show- The only problem is, he can’t stand her. For as long as he can remember, Finn has blamed all his lives problems on the famous actress, Lavender Rhodes. After being hired onto the show, he begins to plot his payback. But what happens as Finn gets to know Lavender , and finds out maybe she isn't at all like he thought she was?

This was a laugh-out-loud funny & wholesome love story. It was packed with witty humor, drama, slow-burn romance, and an overall feel good story. In-spite of Finn's petty revenge, I found both characters to be so loveable & was very invested in their love story. Even during Finn's childish payback, the romance was there & once he got over it, it was even better. I love a couple who just makes sense together. I was smiling SOOOOOO big during their first kiss, like full on gushing.

Thank you, Paula, for being the voice of reason for these two crazy kids.

"I'm terrible at paybacks, and more importantly, she is not at all the person I suspected for so long. Even more important, I've learned I'm not the person I thought I was either. I'm worse."

Melissa Ferguson never disappoints and this is one of my new favorites of hers! I absolutely loved this and I HIGHLY recommend the audio. The narrators were fantastic. Finn’s narrator truly brought his disdain for Lavender to life! This is definitely a one sided enemies to lovers romp. Finn’s strong feelings towards Lavender are comical. For everything she’s seemingly put him through, you can’t help but feel for him. That is until, along with Finn, you get to know the real Lavender, and you fall just as hard as he does!

Lavender was such a breath of fresh air! I loved her self-awareness and how she didn’t take herself too seriously. All she wanted to do was help everyone she met — human and animal. Speaking of animals, I loved Bernie and Miles! Give me all of the dogs in books! Lavender and Finn had such good chemistry and banter. There was plenty of room for misunderstanding, but their communication was so good. And Finn’s grand gesture at the end of was chef’s kiss!

What a funny and unique story Melissa Ferguson has crafted in How to Plot a Payback! Ferguson is a new author to me and I will definitely be looking for more from them.

I really enjoyed getting this story from both the main characters' point of view. The back and forth is amusing, and to see the way Finn changes as the tale evolves is beautifully constructed.

There's wonderful chemistry between the characters. I enjoyed the insight into the world of TV series. And Melissa Ferguson's writing style is wonderful.

The audio version is flawlessly narrated by Fiona Hardingham and Steve West who have their work cut out for them! There is a vast cast from both the UK and the US, plus there's so much humor in the story - they both provide lovely performances.
