Can I first say that Lia Davis is a fantastic author that takes you on a paranormal ride of a life time. With each new story we get pieces of each character that we are longing for. With every read I get so excited because I know I am going to get questions answered that I long for and Lia does not disappoint. In Surrendering to the Alpha we get Addyson and Keegan's story and oh what a stroy it is. I loved loved every minute of it. Her other stories were super steamy and had off the chart sex scenes but what I loved about Surrendering to the Alpha was how she toned it down and created such a love story I cried because I could picture myself there watching Addy and Keegan's love unfold.

Keegan has lost his mate and he has never been the same since then. He has lived in a fog because he just can't seem to get it together. But when a beautiful girl comes to town he changes. Every time he is near her he feels this sense of calm and he wants it all the time but she is very cautious and does not let anyone near her or touch her.But keegan is determined to get to know her and gives her the space and time she needs. Then one day by accident he touches Addy and the sparks fly between them and they know they were meant for each other.

Addyson has fled the life she used to live. She has been through so much with the Onyx pack and she has no idea what happened to her because she has no memories of what went down. She is in a state of loss but she does know one thing her ability is scary so she must never ever touch anyone or else they will transfer there deep dark secrets and pain onto her and she does not want that. She knows the Onyx pack is bad but she is not sure what happened to her but she knows one thing she feels a connection to Keegan and as time passes by she needs him like she needs air to breathe. Then Keegan accidentally touches her and the gloves are off. But Addy still fears the Onyx pack and wonders what the leader is going to do to her.

Are Keegan and Addy safe? Only time will tell...............

Another great Ashwood falls novel. I loved this story! Addyson was such a great character and I enjoyed watching her find her strength after years of oppression and torture that had left her scared and insecure.
Lots of action and suspense, laughter and tears, and smoldering hot love scenes. Can't wait for the net one.

Keegan the alpha of Ashwood Falls is given a second chance at happiness with Addyson. She is a reader, all she has to do is touch an object to know what happened to the owner. she was abused by the rogues and came to Ashwood falls pretty broken up and fearful of those around her she wears gloves because she cannot shut her gift off.

For Addyson Keegan hands the reigns of alpha to his oldest son, to take her and the young David who also has the same gift as Addyson to a safe house.

I have thoroughly enjoyed this series because of the big cats and wolves joining forces against the rogues. Different shifters, humans and witches form this pack or clan. I love it and hope to add it to my kindle library when finances permit but I am happy that I was able to voluntarily read a complimentary copy and no I haven't been compensated for this honest opinion.

Once again, Lia Davis has given the readers a wonderful reading experience with Surrendering to the Alpha. This is the third book in her Ashwood Falls series. It has been long awaited and much anticipated by this devoted reader. Davis did an fantastic job with this book. It was great read, very intense, emotional and suspenseful. I definitely enjoyed the ride.

In the previous book, A Tiger's Claim, we learned that fate was smiling on Keegan. He was given another mate after the tragic loss of his first mate. Since then I have been intrigued, wondering how Keegan would accept another mate into his life, and anticipated a lot of conflict in this story. We briefly met Addyson Lewis in the last book. Addyson had been held prisoner by the Onyx alpha, enduring one hundred years of torture and abuse, before she escaped from her captors and was given sanctuary and protection by Keegan and the Ashwood Falls pack. But so much torture had broken her woman who lived alone in solitude. I felt so sad for Addy when we first met her in the other book. In this book she showed a lot of growth, and I liked that she was finally brave enough to admit to Keegan that she knew they were mates.

Keegan was such a sexy sweet talker.

It wasn't quite clear but I am thinking that maybe Keegan had realized from the start that Addyson was his mate. He kept his distance because Addyson was so fragile, and he was still struggling with the sting of betrayal. I loved how possessive he became of her. And how he did it without the melodrama that I had expected. It was wonderful and romantic. I liked seeing that side of Keegan. You see .... I really get into the books that I read. Lia Davis is fantastic at making me love and care for her characters .... like they are real people that I know or something. I know how nutty that sounds but it's true.

The book was strewn with drama and suspense, conflict and regret, and some sexy love scenes for this readers enjoyment. Many secrets were revealed that are sure to affect the long time arc of this series. Davis was deftly working several intriguing side stories into the plot. Some questions are answered while others remain hidden for now. I really enjoyed the spectacular fighting scenes. Davis had characters new and old on the pages.

We also get a more enlightening glimpse into the dynamics of the rogue Onyx pack. The drama was thick and the suspense was riveting as the situation grew more intense. Spies everywhere and it was hard to tell who were the pretenders. I saw that some key players were in danger and the outcome was uncertain.

One thing was obvious to this reader. Lia Davis has something big planned for this series. The drama thickens as the Ashwood Falls pack and their allies are poised to take down the Onyx Rogues. Another, more insidious enemy emerges to threaten all shifters, and promising even more suspense for the readers. First their old enemy, the Onyx Rogues. Now they must take action to protect their pack from a new enemy, human hate groups and rebel shifters. As the series continues to evolve, Davis brings in the Council of Elders and a cast of new characters. And the excitement and possibilities continue to grow. This series is ever growing, with everything needed to captivate the readers.

I loved this book. I'd been dying to read it since A Tiger's Claim. Though I would point out that it doesn't entirely work out as a stand alone read. I do feel that the reader should first read A Tiger's Claim, for a better understanding of everything that's going on. It was a great read and a strong and vital entry to this ever changing series. It continues the series in a very good way. I highly recommend this book, and suggest that readers should go with the entire Ashwood Falls series. It is so entertaining and highly addictive. So enjoy !!!

Lia Davis brought back my love for shifter romance novels, I’ve been at a slight hiatus and this book got me out of my slump. Surrendering to the Alpha is the third book in the Ashwood Falls series, but can be read as a stand-alone. I have just finished the first after reading this one. Even though the first introduces you to this magical world of shifters I felt I was able to connect to the character easily in the third.

Surrendering to the Alpha follows Alpha of the Ashwood Falls leopard Keegan Andrews. He’s has had a lot of ups and downs through his long life, a down being the loss of his wife after a tragic incident and luckily has his children to keep him strong after all these years. But then he meets Addyson who has caught his attention and seems to light the fire that went out so many years ago. Their attraction to each other is undeniable but with the pain of his past and the threat of the enemy getting closer, will Keegan and Addyson find the missing piece in their hearts or will something stand in their way.

Keegan is a mans man, tough and used to being in charge of everything since he has been Alpha for hundreds of years. But he has now decided to step down from his position and let his eldest take over. One of my favorite parts of this story is the family bond, how sons and daughters are so close and respective of their parents. There is so much love and dedication to protect their kind and families. Keegan also has a lot of pain from the past and through out this story discovers some shocking things about his wife and tries to move on with Addyson. She seems to help him get rid of the pain. He and Addyson have such a smoking hot connection and Davis really knows how to make the readers love them as a couple and hope they can get through all the challenges thrown at them.

Addyson is a complicated character, she is known as a Scribe in her pack. Sadly she feels the pain of others when she has skin-to-skin contact, except for when she touches Keegan. She is still learning about herself and magic, it’s nice to see a powerful character still innocent and trying to start her life over after her sad past. The one piece to Addyson story, which we didn’t get, too much information on is her past, which is missing from her memory. I’m hoping in the future books Davis will go back and mentioned it.

Overall this is a nice quick read, I do feel this could have been longer since there was so much that could have been touch on. I liked learning about the magic of the packs and that even the enemy had some shocking secrets. I will definitely be continuing this series and look forward to catching up with these characters as well as the other who were introduced. This is a shifter series that focuses a lot of family, magic, and of course love.

RECOMMENDATION:
This is an adult novel meant for mature readers for it’s sexual content. Fans of Rachel Vincent’s Shifters series and Nalini Singh’s Psy-Changeling series will enjoy Surrendering to the Alpha.

I first read this author in another book and told myself boy slow as molasses as much as I like this genre and kept seeing her books should of read sooner so when I was given the opportunity to read this one jumped at the chance and if asked would of said how high. Being this genre has the intensity and the something extra this author is no exception. Gotta love the alphas and what they won't do for their pack and their mate. Love so intense to the soul they have for their mate and that mate for them. Ah gives you shivers. Alpha Keegan has already had one mate and is going to be encountering another but are they ready? Pack scribe Addyson was rescued along with Will from rival pack Onyx. Struggles still going on between the two but something has to be done. Addyson can't suffer the touch of others except for Keegan being tortured until the shields of hers are no more. Her touch calms him like no other. But in order to do what needs to be done he is going to turn the reins over to his son, but still acquire another title Elder. Danger and intrigue is main course in this story but hand in hand with Keegan and Addyson really getting to know each other and each accepting the other as mates. Rejoicing in that kind of love found in paranormal romance and this author can dish it up hot and howling. They also-Keegan and his sons must also come to terms with the resurrection of someone they thought dead and take back theirs. A brilliant plan comes together in this one and the beginning of success is seen. The characters in this book are so relateable that it is easy to see why she has so many fans reading her books combined with the talent she has for the story entwined within. I haven't read the other books in the series before I read this one and I might have been a little lost but it didn't take long for me to catch up and if a book can do that it's automatically a five star. I love shifter books it's just sometimes hard for me to find one that keeps my focus but this one had no problem keeping my focus I finished reading this in 45 minutes that's how much it had my focus. Keegan I loved him there's no other way describe my feelings for that big hunk-of-cat, "with his finger under he chin he gently urged her to meet his stare. "You're right. We are mates, and you're mine to keep and play with." Addyson may be a submissive but when the time comes that girl can sure be bossy and like any man Keegan gets all horny about it, "he let out a soft growl but followed her inside. The truth was that her stern words and the fire and spirit she'd shown pleased him. Hell, it was a damn turn-on." In order for a shifter to truly give them-self to someone their animal half needs to be in on it and boy oh boy wasn't Keegan's leopard in on the mating, "God, she was so beautiful. And all his. His leopard growled in approval and nudged him to take her, claim her as their mate." Sometimes these two are just to much when around each other, "he heard the notebook and pen fall to the floor as she twisted to climb up his body and straddle him. Groaning, he slid one his hands under her shirt, and the other he fisted in her hair. He broke the kiss and pulled back to peer into her desire-filled gaze." These are characters that although you can't really relate to, but are easy to fall in love with and I can't wait to see more of them.

Surrendering to the Alpha was a really great book. It was hot, intense, passionate, sweet, action filled, and love n happiness.

Where to begin in my lovefest of this newest book in the Ashwood Falls series? So much story this time!!! Loads of twists and turns! The plot thickens and a great deal more about the Onyx pack rogues is revealed. Lots of info to process but definitely not overwhelming.

Keegan has always been an awesome character and only gets better in this book. You get more of his backstory and he becomes more fleshed out. He has always been an intriguing mystery and it was exciting to peal back those layers.

Addison is a wonderful character who despite being battered is far from broken. It is great to see her inner strength and fight to become whole.

The dynamic between the two really works. They are both trying to get over their pasts to make a future together. It was really sweet seeing them take things slow and become a couple.

The steam factor this time is rather low. Only a couple hot and heavy scenes, it was practically mainstream. But the scenes we did get were quite delicious!

By the end of the book there is so much going on that you don't want to put it down. The words "the end" come far too soon. There is so much more story left to tell. Ms Davis is a naughty tease for leaving us on a bit or a cliff without closure. It is a bittersweet feeling anticipating the next book!

She found her freedom with Ashwood Falls Pack 25 years ago and much needed safety. The Onyx Pack is run by Felix not caring he's broken many sacred laws and abominations to keep his rule iron fisted. Keegan is relinguishing the reins of Alpha to pursue information given by a spy within Onyx Pack. He sets his plan in motion not realizing the chain of events it will set off. He knows that Addyson(Addy) is his mate but doesn't want to push her too far. What is secret purpose Keegan's hiding? Can Addyson be healed? Your answers await you in Surrendering to the Alpha.

This ia very fast read just under 100 pages. This isn't your typical shifter book either. These shifter's can use magic and elements. My heart broke over the losses Keegan endured over his long life. He's an Alpha with a heart of gold. Addyson is so brave and shy but underneath it all she's a spitfire to be reckon with. This being my first experience with this author~I'll definitely be reading more books from her in the future.

Surrendering to The Alpha

The Alpha, Keegan and the scribe of the pack, Addyson, know that they are life mates. With Keegan losing his life mate to the Onyx pack and Addyson being tortured by the same pack, both have some series issues to overcome. Along with their own problems, Keegan is stepping down and letting his son take over as Alpha. With his trinity bond in place, a strong Alpha he will be. Now is time to get back at the Onyx and find their Alpha Felix. But when Keegan finds someone that he thought was lost to him, everything changes. With new characters introduced and the packs starting to cooperate to bring down the Onyx packs leader for good, will it be the end or will Felix get away again? And will Keegan and Addyson ever over come the many challenges that are holding them back?

The Ashwood series is a great read with twists and turns to keep you busy through the book. I liked the new development's in the series and love the new characters that have popped up. It makes me excited about the books to come. I am looking forward to seeing what the bad guys come back with too. thanks for the great read.

Addyson has been slowly bringing her broken mind some healing after her captivity with the Onyx pack.
While Keegan has lived with his own personal hell after what happened to his mate.
We have meet these characters in other books but we now see more insight into there thoughts and feelings.
Keegan is able to touch Addyson without causing her pain while Addyson quiets his mind.
As much as Addyson is touch straved she is unsure how to handle Keegan even when he is near or touching her as he stirs her like no one ever has.
Even though Addyson is a submissive we see her showing some backbone but mainly to Keegan because of how safe she feels.
Keegan is unsure about giving into what his leopard is telling him since Addyson is still healing and trying to protect her mind from other peoples memories but even when he gives in, he takes care to let Addyson make the choice on when she is ready.
There are a few suprises for Keegan in this book and Addyson learning why Keegan has been hurting so much.
Was a great read and can't wait for more. We had some action scenes, steamy sex scenes and insight into a few other characters.

Thirty seven years has passed since, Keegan mate Cate has past. Cate used Keegan’s gun to kill herself in front of him after she revealed that she betrayed the pack. But what has she really done?
Recently, Keegan discovered that the baby that was thought to have been passed away thirty seven years ago may be still alive in enemy territory…
The pack is still on high alert and Keegan is ready hand over the pack to his son, Blaine to become Alpha after he has been Alpha for MANY decades...
What about Addison…She finds something that she wasn’t sure she would ever find…
My thoughts:
This was a great book to pick up and read. After I saw that it was released earlier, my first thought was yes… and then went and got the book but didn’t get the chance to read it until last night (and yes I stayed awake too long to finish...)
I found the book to be a great fast past page turning read that I really didn’t want it to end.
It was one that I can truly say it was treat to read with the paranormal, action, magic and so much more that I could add that this is one book that won’t disappoint.

I have to admit that while I enjoyed Ashwood Falls series, I often felt like their alpha, Keegan was stiff and flat. I feel sorry that he lost his mate, but I felt like there wasn't much to his story other than that. That is, until I read this book.

I enjoyed this book because it showed Keegan as more than just an alpha. This book shows him as a man who also needs someone to spend his life with after losing the first love of his life. The heroine was also a good character who has been through a lot. From the get go, any reader will immediately root for the main characters to have their happy ending. This story is probably the one with the most depth because the main characters weren't young shifters anymore.

Audiobook-wise, I enjoyed the narrator's voice. She was able to portray all characters in a way that can hook listeners in. The sexy scenes were also hot, which is something that I expect from this series. All in all, this is yet another book from the Ashwood Falls series that I really enjoyed.

Lia Davis draws the readers in with the Ashwood Falls series and does not want to let them go. I was so excited when this book released a few days early. I grabbed it and started reading it as soon as I found out. I had just finished book 1 and 2 so I couldn’t wait to hear the story of Keegan and how he lost his first mate and also how his new mate heals his heart.

I feel as though some questions weren’t answered, like was Cate really being controlled? I know it’s hinted, but I really wish it would’ve been proven. It may be in future books, so I’m not holding that against the book. Besides, this book was amazing without that information.

Addyson literally lived through a hell on Earth. I couldn’t imagine going through what she has been through. Keegan and Addy are perfect for each other. They will heal each other’s souls. They both need and deserve that.

And now I have another series I can’t get enough of. I want everyone’s story. I hope that Jared’s is next. He deserves to find out the truth behind his mate and to find his son.

The fourth book in the Ashwood falls series is a great addition to the series, which continues to be intriguing and entertaining.

The romance between Keegan and Addy is a sweet love that brings some happiness in to both of their lives. The emotions involved in the discovery of that happiness and other secrets brought to light are clearly defined by the author leaving the reader completely absorbed with these characters. All the characters in this series are captivating and draw the reader deeper into the stories.

The suspense and action build as they continue to fight the war with the Onyx Pack and their mutant rogues. The author has added a few twists into the plot as well that will keep the readers engaged and wanting more.

I do think this story should have been longer and few things certainly could been expanded on, but overall this series still continues to entertain and bewitch me and I will be looking for future books in this series, especially as the author introduced more characters into this book.

Love some more Keegan that's for sure...Keegan and Addyson's characters reached for each other knowing they were mates but also to help each other heal. I loved the instant awareness between these two characters, I love how they both feel better when they are around each other, they both have troubled pasts but they help each other move past their pasts to a future together (hopefully) love their leopards too. I thought Will was just too cute one of my favorite characters . I thought the author wrote their family dynamic perfectly, sticking together through thick and thin, being there for each other. Keegan's got some hot sons ( takes after him) Blaine the new alpha and Alec. Addy's character is submissive to Keegan but still tough as nails. Love the Ashwood Falls series! Surrendering to the Alpha was excellent! I loved how Keegan, pack Alpha, steps down to protect his pack, family and his future mate! Addyson is sweet but has suffered greatly in the hands of the enemy. The onyx pack was also responsible for pain in Keegan's past. You must read to find out what secrets are revealed and how Keegan and Addyson help each other heal and discover the love they have for one another. ooh my God, I was soo looking forward to this book since we first meet Keegan , I fall in love with him, and mrs davis did not disappoint I loved the way addyson evolved into the strong and independent women he always knew she was. This is book four of the Shifters of Ashwood Falls series and the main characters are leopard alpha of the Ashwood pack, Keegan Andrews, and the pack Scribe, Addyson Lewis, who lives a solitary life unable to touch others without painful memories flooding her mind. She was kept prisoner by the evil Onyx pack, led by Felix and made up of rogues and mutant shifters, for over a hundred years. She was used and abused, to read memories from others and constantly touched, sending her crazy and unable to shield her mind from others thoughts and memories anymore. Keegan lost his mate some thirty seven years ago and the way it happened and the loss of their unborn daughter some six months beforehand, almost killed him. Finding Addyson stumble through their packs wards some twenty five years ago, left him finding someone that just being around has helped to calm his inner self. He can’t stay away, but carries the guilt of losing his mate and unable to think of another woman the same way. When a young Scribe, Will, is sent to them by the Onyx pack, with a message to show they can get to them at any time, Addyson suddenly has another like her, who can help teach her how to shield her mind. She has no memories of her life before beign held captive, so can’t remember ever learning how to do these things herself.

When he goes to meet his informant in the usual place, the message he gets rocks his world and that of his family! If there wasn’t evidence, he would never have believed it and it might change everything. Luna, the wolf shifter Alpha of the MoonRiver pack, which joined with the Ashwood pack after the war two hundred years ago, has had a really bad vision of things to come. Her vision showed that Felix Darwin, the alpha of the Onyx pack, is plotting something really big and they are going to have to get prepared and fast. He has been sending his mutants and rogues to poke at the wards around the pack and break in to attack where possible, as well as gather information. Thankfully, the new wards and increased patrols mean the rogues and mutants haven’t reached the inner sanctums of the pack area. Another discovery is that when Keegan touches Addyson, initially by accident even though he is usually so careful not to, she senses nothing at all! He also can’t read her mind and hears no background static like he normally does. She finally has the peace she has craved for so long, with another person and young Will is helping her manage with others.

The attacks from the Onyx pack are increasing and the former alpha rules of not attacking another alpha, now seem to have been broken multiple times by Felix and Jared is asked to check the old rule books to see what action can be taken against him. Keegan takes a drastic action to get back what he lost all those years ago and to save his people from the enemy. An attraction grows between Keegan and Addyson, with the secrets of the past finally allowed out into the open and the truth behind his mate’s actions discovered. Blame can now be placed where it should be and a future with another allowed to grow. A more detailed storyline which explains actions of the past and finally getting some actions, but also lots more danger in the fight against an evil alpha and his crazy sidekicks. Addyson may finally be allowed to think of a possible future and the chance of a mate, something she gave up on years ago. Great to see the younger generation able to help their elders in this one. What I disliked- nothing! This was a great book!

I am loving these short stories about the members of the pack in Ashwood Falls!
Keegan's precious mate and mother this children killed herself after betraying the pack. Or so it seems. thanks
Addyson is a Scribe who can't be touched without feeling pain. She lost her shields when she was forced to read objects and people continuously when she was held a prisoner of the Onyx pack for a hundred years. The only ones she can touch is Keegan and now Will, another scribe.
Keegan knows that she is his second chance at a mate but he is still embedded in the past betrayal. Now that he has to get Addy to safety he has a chance to right some things. He also finds out about a secret that changes his world.

Another interesting story of the Shifters of Ashwood Falls. I love these characters and keep hoping all will work out. Surprise connections keep popping up as well so one never knows what to expect. I was glad that Addyson finally allowed herself to trust Keegan to love her and create their mating bond. So many other pairings going on as well, and I can't wait until the next story. The narration by Annika Hart was again wonderful, and I enjoyed listening to her bring these characters to life.

Keegan knew Addyson was his mate. She's so fragile though.

Keegan was the Alpha of there group. With the Onyx den making life hell, things needed to change quickly. Fighting feelings for so long from one another was crazy. When they stopped fighting, Keegan captured Addy's lips. She didn't pull back, giving Keegan access to long longings. Keegan had a plan but needed to take a risk. He stepped down as Alpha and named his son, Blaine as the new Alpha. That was step one to his plan for Onyx to be destroyed.

Addyson was left to die by Felix who had held her captive for around 100 years and found Keegan’s pack. 37 years ago his wife killed herself for what she had done to their pack and lost his daughter at birth he thought. When he was ready to find a mate it was Addyson that was his second chance then found out his daughter was alive and Felix had her plus Felix was making mutants to kill people. Good book!.

This is book four in this series Shifters of Ashwood Falls. This is the story of Keegan the Alpha of Ashwood and the one woman that can tame his beast Addyson. Addyson is a scribe for the pack and in her own personal hell. This is their journey to their happily ever after. The story is full of suspense, action, drama and much more.
You will want to read the previous books to get a better understanding of the story and the characters. I am looking forward to reading the next book.
