When vampire Nico purchases a house to further his fellow vampires' goal of creating a secure compound within Venice, he doesn't expect to get a headstrong wife in the bargain. He plans to send her to the mainland after their wedding night so he can continue his debauched bachelor life.
But when he meets the unexpectedly beautiful Oriana for the first time, his plans are forgotten. However, Oriana would rather pursue her scientific research than play the submissive wife to her new husband.
When Nico finds out that his wife has secrets that could endanger not only him, but the entire vampire population of Venice, he has to make a choice: get rid of her, or seduce her to join his side. Luckily, seduction is what Nico does best ...

Whew... I am amazed and slightly embarrassed by the reaction of my body when reading this... The affect it had on me was breath taking at times... Pantie melting for sure.
Tina brings together an intriguing plot with raw passion and explosive sex scenes. This novella has it all. Its a complete package.
Oriana is a beautiful, smart, and witty lady who is unsure of herself and the marriage that was arrange for her. She doesn't know what to expect. So she decides on a plan of action but will her new husband agree?
Nico a handsome playboy vampyr doesn't want to get married. He makes an agreement that changes all that leaving him no choice. He is soon standing face to face with a beauty who is now his wife.
From the very first page you are pulled into the Venice Vampyr world. You will not want to put it down. This novella gives you more into the Venice vampyr world. We are introduced to more of the vampyr's
I am hoping that Tina continues this series! LOVE IT!
Favorite quote, Nico says "For tonight I'll let you rest, but tomorrow, I'll show you how a husband treats his wife properly. And I promise you, when your married friend visits again, you wont have any complaints to share with her. Whether you'll want to confide in her how your husband makes you scream with pleasure, is for you to decide.
One very hot read but I just found it a bit trite and not as good as the first three. Liked the ending but getting there was slow with not much of a story to get ones teeth into. Very little happens with the guardians but we do get a tiny bit of time with the other characters.
so good, just sad it wasn't longer. It would have been 5 stars if it had been longer. I can't believe that 110 pages, seemed more like 30. Also, wow, Nico almost didn't make it at the end. The stakes were high...
To me this 4th one in the series felt a little different. It was still enjoyable but not as much as the first few. Nico is searching for home on the same block as his friends. He comes across the perfect home with a covered boat dock for his gondola. To his surprise negotiations for the home end quickly until he realizes that he bargained himself a marriage in the same proposal.
Oriana just wants to be left alone to do her research and if that means marrying someone then she'll do what needs to be done. She has it all planned out. Until she actually sees Nico for the first time. Things start to unravel from there.
Oriana was definitely passionate once she let herself go with Nico. I loved the story and how it all came down to the end, I just feel like it was missing that little something extra. Maybe more internal dialogue or getting to know the characters a little more. All the novellas in this series appear to be about the same length so it couldn't be that. I just felt like I'd skipped over something.
I love this series and I cannot get enough of them even though this one wasn't a number one favorite I still enjoyed it all the same. So much so that I continued reading well into the wee hours to finish.
Cute and short! It was almost a predictable read and it went by too fast. The book started off pretty funny and then it wasn't anymore. This is where the predictability came in. Nico, I found to be funny and very determined to prove his bride wrong when it came to the duties of that of husband and wife. He had his work cut out for him. As for Oriana, I really didn't care that much for her. She reminded me of those "smarty-pants-know-it-all" and when she pulled that stunt at the end of the book, I was furious!!! Granted she did it to protect her and Nico but the fact she kept it from him was annoying as hell! If I was Nico, I would have a hard time trusting this sneaky brat. I'm sure there's got to more in store for the Venice Vampyr series because I just can't see things ending this way. The Guardians must be stopped and I for one want to read more about the other vampires.
Thank you Ms. Tina Folsom! I'll be looking forward to the next book :)
If you're looking for a quick, hot and entertaining read, this'll be the book for you. As a matter of fact, the series is pretty good!
Nico was a very naughty vampire. He was accustomed to sharing a bed with a different female every night. Imagine his disgust when he discovered that in order to purchase the house that he badly wanted, he had to marry the owner's daughter. If he refused, then t he owner refused to sell to him. Oriana was the "straight laced" daughter to a businessman who was selling his house and moving to the mainland. She loved science and was dabbling with a machine that would detect vampires. Her father caught her and after she refused to give it up, her father included marriage to her in the sale of the house. Nico was more than surprised when he saw his bride was beautiful. Oriana found that even though she didn't want it, she was sexually attracted to her new husband. Would Nico be able to take her as his wife and would Oriana be able to continue to resist his charms? And what of the machine?
Like the other Venice Vampyr series this book was awesome. Tina Folsom is one of my favorite authors and rarely disappoints me.
Nico is looking to purchase a house to help him and the other vampires combine houses on a block so that can connect them through tunnels so that they move around during the day time. Little did he know that he would be forced to marry the daughter of the man that he purchasing the house from in order to but it. He believed that the woman must be extremely ugly because she was not yet married. The conversation between Nico, Dante and Rhapael was hilarious because she went from being "Well past her prime, maybe even in her thirties!" to a forty year old spinster with a nose like a hawk to a wicked old witch.
Venice Vampyr #4 Sensual Danger by Tina Folsom is the fourth book in the Venice Vampyr series. Not my favorite of the series, but still an enjoyable read.
Great story. Even better than the first time I read it. The first time I read it in print, the second I listened to the audio. The author wrote a story that isn't exactly realistic, but believable if vampires really did exist. Not sure I would react that same way the woman did, but it's a great story none-the-less. The narrator made the characters come further to life with his rendition of each of them. I really enjoyed this story and I look forward to listening to the next one. Well done to both the author and the narrator.
This was a delightfully sensual paranormal romantic short story that left me completely satisfied. I always enjoy Tina Folsom's Venice Vampyr series. They are extraordinarily good with enough romance and spicy sensuality that will leave you wanting more and then some. A great book in the Venice Vampyr series. I sincerely hope there will be MANY more stories in this incredible series.
Tina Folsom does not disappoint with this fourth installment of the Venice Vampyr novellas. The love scenes are hot and the story had a good fast pace. I love vampires but I especially love Tina Folsom vampires! She has a way of making them so appealing and hot even if they aren't being very nice (maybe especially when they aren't being very nice). :)
This one was by far the funniest. I laughed so hard in the beginning I almost cried. The humor slowed as the relationship between Nico and Oriana blossomed from contemptuous to one filled with adoration. There was never a dull moment.
A good but not a great read. I got that Nico lusted after Oriana but I was never convinced that he loved her. The writing lacked the depth of emotion that was needed to convey this. An interesting series but not Folsom at her best.
The plot was good, but I found it needed more something. The relationship was nice and I wanted more at the end. I like it when the characters get together; it would have been nice to have Oriana to meet the are women in the group or an epilogue with Oriana and Nico playing with their children.
Loved it! I love hot, sexy, and naughty vampires. This was a good addition to the series. Nico deserved his own story. The entire series is really great.
I always enjoy Tina Folsom's books. I liked Nico and I really liked his wife but I felt the story was a bit rushed. I would have liked more of a build up between the two. But otherwise a good story!
I'm not usually a fan of novella's, but because I liked the author's book length series, I gave this one a try, and loved it. Sensual Danger is a great addition to the Venice Vampyr series.
Just as easy and enjoyable a read as the first three! I have definitely found s soft spot for these men who seem to have a terrible soft spot for their Human women who ensnared them.
