In a world where danger lurks at every turn, I never expected to find love in the arms of a Vinduthi hitman.
In the moment I meet Makar, I know he's trouble.
A dangerous Vinduthi mafia member who buys my contract on a whim, he seems cold and emotionless. But beneath his hardened exterior, I see a hidden kindness within him.
The more time we spend together, the more I feel a magnetic pull towards this alien assassin. Makar's gentleness and protective nature awaken feelings I never expect, challenging the walls I keep up to shield my heart.
Yet our loving moments are fleeting, torn apart by Makar's dangerous work and his mysterious family ties. When Makar's enemies target me to get to him, I realize I must transform into something new if I'm to stand by his side—no longer just a dancer, but a fighter, ready to face any threat.
Makar's passion for me ignites a fire within, showing me a future I once thought impossible—to belong at his side, loved for all that I am. But our journey to build a life together means fighting for our love at every turn, facing those who would tear us apart.
If you believe star-crossed souls can defeat the odds, this tale of alien romance, danger, and forbidden love will sweep you off your feet!
Reader, dreamer and frantic scribbler. I really do believe that love conquers all... and make terrible things for my characters to survive to prove it! (insert evil laugh here)
Dance with the Alien Devil (Brides of the Vinduthi #4) is the fourth book in this exciting series. In a bleak future where Earth has become uninhabitable, humans find themselves relegated to the lowest social strata in a space station as Earth has become uninhabitable. Struggling for survival against the backdrop of formidable space vampires, other creatures, and constant peril. This narrative is packed with exciting and dangerous elements that keep the reader engaged.
I was compelled to delve deeper into the unfolding story. Members of the Vinduthi mob are on top at the space station and feared by many in a bustling hub serving as both a refuge and battleground for various interstellar species.
One by one they become infatuated with a resilient human woman, whose mere presence disrupts the carefully maintained order of their world. A cascade of events entangled in a web of chaos and danger, leading to intense moments and unexpected alliances. As the stakes rise, readers are left eager to see how love can flourish in such tumultuous circumstances.
I volunteered to read and review an advanced readers copy of Dance with the Alien Devil . I enjoyed reading this sci -fi romance. I found it entertaining and intriguing . This is the fourth book in the Brides of the Vinduthi series . Sophia Delgado is an exotic human dancer in an alien stripper bar . A Maeux ( a blue scaly alien ) grabbed her when it's not allowed . After the second time she slapped him and everything went crazy . She was getting yelled at by her boss when she is requested for a private dance . Makar the Vinduthi assassin is there at the strip club checking around for information when he finds himself captivated with Sophia . He decides to request a private dance and maybe he can get some information from her . While she's dancing the door busts open and four Maeux guards enter they came for Sophia their boss has purchased her contract Makar not happy he offers to buy her contract but the refuse so he kills them all . Makar takes her to his headquarters . He surprises her when he teaches her to bake cupcakes . Sophia and Makar find their feelings growing but of course there is always danger when your with an assassin . I highly recommend taking the time to read . This story is action packed and entertaining .
Makar and Sophia storyline is so different from what you would think it would be about, but truly amazing.
Makar is assassin and a baker, yes you read that right. Sophia (human) is an exotic dancer in an alien stripper bar.
A scaly alien grabbed her, so she slapped him (there's a no touch policy) but instead she gets in trouble with her boss from it.
Luckily Makar is there to collect information about something else and sees what happens. He request a private dance so he can get information.
She ends up at his place even though she knows he kills and with no effort, but he surprises her and teach her how to bake a cupcakes. I love all the storylines in each book, I would say this book was my favorite.
I’m really loving these space station romances. Humans are definitely not at the top of the chain but are actually pretty close to the bottom. Most have to sign contracts to just make enough to survive. For Sophia that meant being an erotic dancer for all types of aliens. Too bad she has a very short temper and well beating up the clients isn’t usually a good idea. Soon she will find herself with an alien male that will either save her or use her. The story has a unique twist that will make you need to bake some cupcakes. It brings laughter and some hotness with it. But there is plenty of danger as well when your new owner is an assassin.
I know that this series has some darkness and to enjoy the stories some accepting of gray morals is necessary. But Makkar and Sophia just... aren't good people.
*possible spoiler * The amount of bodies and violence is high in this one. Which since he is an assassin isn't a surprise. But the amount of innocent victims and her being undisturbed by it... the story reads as more serial killer and his acolyte then romance. IMO, of course.
I'll read the next one as this feel like a misstep from an author I normally enjoy. But won't be a reread.
I liked book 3 which was Mera and Kovas book and its overarching story and decided to continue with this, only to be slightly disappointed by the supposedly "cold blooded" assassin and baking enthusiast, Makar. i expected a really dark and merciless killer Makar but what I got was a blushing assassin that really loved baking. i usually liked if the cold blooded mmc has a normal hobby, but idk why Makar did not excite me as much. Sophia was meh, not standing out as a fmc either. she's just...there I guess. Still curious to know how the story would play out so imma continue with this series.
This is book four in the Brides of the Vinduthi series. Makar, the assassin, was just hanging out and went to a club. He is a bit bored of late. What peaks his interest is a dancer Sophia who is in an altercation with a customer who became too touchy feely during her performance. Appreciative of this Makar decides he wants a private dance from Sophia. Sparks fly from there . . . . Read On!
I loved the two sides of Makar, but I thought that his assassin side wasn’t depicted well enough, especially when he was with Sophia. I felt that his character should have been a little tougher overall. It was a great story, though, and worth reading. I received a free copy of this book, and I am voluntarily leaving an honest review.
I LOVE cupcakes and wonderful males that can cook 😃. This series just keeps getting better and better with lots of action, intense situations, yucky bad things, yummy sexy scenes and totally wonderful characters 😉. Thanks again Ava, I really enjoyed reading this series and look forward to reading more 🤓.
I loved Makar and Sophia so much! They were both lonely and defensive, carrying baggage from their past and current circumstances. The way they met, fought and laughed together only strengthened their growing bonds. I loved the afterward, it was another reason to like this couple. I’m looking forward to the next book because I know it will be just as good.
The first meeting of the two main characters, is most unusual and causes an impulsive result. While their attraction for Sophia and Makar increases, so does the frustration and danger. Believe it or not, baking calms Makar and becomes a very important part of this story.
Whew! I love the Vinduthi series! And Makar's book does not disappoint. How can you go wrong with a baking assassin who dotes on his mate? Read the series! Seriously.
If you like blood and assassins, but still like wholesome baking? This is a weird combination of the two that works! Just the right amount of sexy times. And some serious love.
Wow, this is one riveting, thrilling read! Makar is the Vinduthi mafia hit man. Sophia is a dancer he rescues. Both are strong lead characters and their love journey is filled with heat and violence!
I loved this installment to the series. I loved the vulnerability of Makar and the spice of Sophia. This has a nice dose of spice but honestly enjoyed the adventure of these two together.
I enjoyed reading this book, the storyline is well written and the interaction between the characters is wonderful. I can't wait to read more from this author. I received this book as a Free ARC copy to read and I voluntarily leave this review
A cupcake baking assassin? This was a fun and exciting book. I loved it from the beginning. I heard myself chuckled a couple of times. Perfect sexy romantic science fiction!
