Sixteen months after the ending The Werewolf Prince, Misty is in the land of the Fairies, keeping herself from the one man she is determined to forget, but it's impossible not to remember how he made her feel, how he brought her body to life when he was in her. Misty is an Ambassador in the war against the vampires teaming up with a sexy rouge Fairy, Lysander. All the while Domenico is trying to find ways to prove to Misty that his love for her was real and willing to give up everything just to be around her even if she doesn’t want him.
Her body still answers to the devilish wolf and wins the battle time and again over her heart and her mind. Determined to not let him humiliate or use her, she enjoys the stolen kisses and nights in his arms, but stands firm in not letting him back into her life as her husband.
There are more attacks and war is inevitable, there are many traitors amongst them and it’s only a matter of time before they are fighting for their lives.
I enjoyed the The Royal Heartbreak so much more than The Werewolf and I, it had the same steam and heat as the first BUT it was how the Domenico and Misty grew that made it so much better. I am a sucker for a man to admit defeat and can swallow his pride to do right by his lady, and it is exactly what Domenico does. Misty has her reservations and I loved how she loved, it was beautiful and strong. I am so glad there was a sense of closure but can look forward to more in the coming books; I will definitely be checking the rest out.

It didn’t feel bad to me because I was doing it for you.” His fingers slid through her hair, tightening in a possessive grip. “You’ve been gone for sixteen fucking months, and I was lost. All that I had going for me was the hope – this undying hope that I would see you again one day and when that time comes, I’ll have you back.”

5 Me-Crying-Like-A-Baby-Stars!
"You cannot win a war without heart and Misty is my heart. The heart of my pact, the heart of our race, and so now I ask you – will you stand with me when we fight side by side with the Faeries and our allies to defeat those who seek to destroy our world?"So this is a re-read for me, and just like the first time, I was hooked. I stayed up reading this until the wee hours... My gosh! My heart broke for them... especially for Domenico. He made this book for me! I loved him in the first book, and I fell more deeply in love with him in this book.
"I love you Misty. And I will crawl for you, beg you - I'll do anything to make you mine again. It didn’t feel bad to me because I was doing it for you." His fingers slid through her hair, tightening in a possessive grip. "You’ve been gone for sixteen fucking months, and I was lost. All that I had going for me was the hope – this undying hope that I would see you again one day, and when that time comes, I’ll have you back."
Domenico was willing to do anything to prove to Misty that his love for her was real, and he was more than willing to give up everything for her. She belongs to him, and no one, including her, is going to keep him from the only woman he's ever loved.
"This time, I will make sure you have no doubts about how much you fucking mean to me."And he went over and beyond expressing his real love to her.
"I'm never going to give you up to anyone, Misty. I love you too fucking much not to fight for you with everything I have."
"It's never too late for the two of us. I will make you fall in love with me again, Misty. No one - not even your goddamn faeries can take you away from me."
"As of yesterday, the mantle of the future leaders of the pack has been passed on to the heir next in line, my younger brother Alessandro Moretti."And the man who had given it all up answered,

My heart broke for him over and over again. His love for her was real and intense. You can feel it in your bones. He chose her over his pack. over the entire Lycan race. My God, Misty, if you're looking for proof that Domenico loves you, there it is! You blind fool! He places you above his duties as a Lycan. Isn't that what you want? Wasn't that enough for you? Arghhh! I wanted to bitch slap you or kill you... you cry, baby! I hate you!
The Lyccans whom Domenico had spent his entire life protecting had turned their backs on him so quickly it had to have hurt him.
They were looking down on him – Domenico Moretti, the proudest man she knew – simply because he chose to love her.
She had been wrong.
He wasn’t weak because of her.
He had chosen to be weak for her.
Arghhhh!!! I'm crying like a baby! My heart hurts.
"He's happy with every day that he's able to prove that he loves you. Because he thinks by punishing himself, it's the only way he can win you back."
My gosh! I'm a mess after reading this book! I loved this book as much as I loved the first one. Even though Misty and Domenico separated, the chemistry between them was still explosive! The sex scenes between them were scorching hot! Domenico's still the sexiest alpha shifter for me.
"I don’t think love is enough to describe how I feel about you, Misty. You’re my life. You’re everything to me, and trust me…trust me when I tell you that I will never, ever hurt you again."
Waaah!!!!! What a roller coaster ride! I loved it. I loved everything about it. The ending was everything I could've asked for. Ms. Tee gave me a dose of suspense with a touch of mystery, very steamy melt-your panties, sex scenes, and sigh-worthy romance. I'm looking forward to reading more from this author, especially Lysander and Estrella's story and Alessandro's.

Small *GROWL* Hmmm. This wasn't what I thought it was going to be. I knew finishing The Werewolf Prince and I, there was going to be a lot of grovelling and making up. Domenico had effed up BIG TIME.
Not completing the mating ritual due to arrogance and simple stupidity, Domenico ends up losing Misty to the Fae nonetheless--HUH?
Anyways, the humiliation Misty felt was unparallel. She was so supportive of Dom, completely stepping up to the plate as a princess to her werewolf prince. So when she finds out he never completed his duty to her she flees.
A Royal Heartbreak picks up 16 months after Misty leaves. Dom is heartbroken and will do anything to get her back. He's had time to really take a good look in the mirror and does not like what he sees. But it will not be easy.
When Misty shows her face acting as an emissary for the Fae-HUH?-- She once again comes face to face with the one who betrayed her. Dom makes his feelings known but soon realizes that Misty will give him the fight of his life.
So the book takes off from there with Dom constantly trying to win Misty back and Misty miserably failing at refusing his advances. Dom has changed here. It's very obvious and the extent of the sacrifices he's willing to make prove it. But there are many that don't want those two back together, so the book teeters between reconciliation and utter disaster.
Did I mention Misty lives in the realm of the Fae? we already know that's probably where she was heading at the end of the first book, but it still baffles me. And then add in Lysander, a noble and famous Fae that desires Misty as well. His manipulations never quite reach fruition but I think in the next instalment he will get his own love story.
Like I said with the first book, if you're looking for prominent world building or a well developed story line you won't find it here. Things are convoluted at the best of times.
We are given a reason for the war between the supernaturals but I could have sworn the war was between humans and supernaturals--HUH? even if the war WAS between just the supernaturals shouldn't an explanation have been given for the axing of war between humans and supers?
I.AM.SO.CONFUSED.
The reason given for A WAR in general was weak and not plausible but like I said, don't question, just read. I liked the relationship between Misty and Dom and how the werewolf had to grovel to no end. It was sweet and very satisfying. Dom really had changed and he was willing to put everything on the line for the woman he loved.
To be honest, I won't be continuing this series. It isn't bad but the direction is confusing, wherever it may go. I wish the story just stuck to Misty and Domenico, it would have been simpler.

Blech! Blech blech blech!
Let me start by saying I don't like being mean to authors. They have a hard job and not one I would be able to do. That said, as much as I appreciate that hard work goes into most books, I also feel that I should be getting my money's worth when I pay for a book (or series). The first book in this series wasn't great and had plot holes enough to drive a truck through, but at least I was entertained. I didn't particularly care for Misty, but she admitted her faults and didn't try to be anything else. I was disappointed by that book and thought it had potential, and I thought maybe that potential would be realized in the second book.
That didn't happen. Or if it did, it happened after I put the book down.
The book picks up sixteen months after the first book left off. Misty is living with the faeries and has studied swordplay in that time and somehow that's supposed to make her a bad-ass. Let's get something clear right now -- it takes more than sixteen months to make you an expert in a fighting technique and I have several friends who fight who would be insulted by the implication that a self-described "wimp" from the first book could miraculously turn, not only into an expert swordswoman, but also some sort of super-tactician due solely to that training in sixteen months. Then the book goes on to tell me, not show me, that Misty is now some sort of bad-ass. People (especially Misty) keep talking about how strong she is now, but there is nothing in her behavior to show me this, and I'd have a hard time believing a transformation that dramatic could come about in a mere sixteen months simply because her husband was mean to her. Furthermore, not only is her newfound "strength" in no way demonstrated, but what I saw was quite the opposite. In their dealings, all Domenico has to do is crook his finger (sometimes not even that much) and she basically falls on her back with her legs spread. I have no problem with a heroine liking sex -- that's great. But I have absolutely no respect for the ones who have absolutely no self-control when they believe with all their heart that the hero is bad for them. Domenico doesn't even have to seduce her most of the time; they're just in the same room together and she's all, Do me! I'm trying to hate you and this is in no way conducive to that, but do me anyway! As for Domenico, he had potential as a reformed asshat, and I was looking forward to watching him grovel, but I hated Misty and her Mary Sue ways so much that I just couldn't continue.
One other issue I had was the development of what looked like it might be a love triangle. Yes, the back of the book says that Misty agrees to a faery marriage, but I was expecting it to be a business relationship. The seeming development of what appeared to be Lysander's feelings for her made me think it was going to be a love triangle, which is a trope I particularly loathe. Admittedly, that part of my dislike of this book was technically my own fault for not being a bit more wary, but that doesn't lessen my distaste for love triangles. Quick rant: Why do authors -- particularly urban fantasy and/or paranormal romance authors -- feel these are necessary? If you're going to end the book with a menage relationship, fine, great. But otherwise, I wish authors in this genre would remove love triangles from their bag of tricks. Either 1) I'm going to like the relationship with the second guy better and then I'm going to get my heart broken right along with him when the heroine dumps him for the guy she ends up with anyway and, quite frankly, if I wanted to get my heart broken I'd read a Nicholas Sparks novel; or 2) I'm going to like the first guy better and I'm going to wonder why we're wasting pages on this second relationship that isn't going to happen.
This should have been a one-book shot. The first book could easily have been condensed into half a book and what I was reading in this one felt like most of it was unnecessary. Personally, I feel like by stretching out the events to make it into two books, the author was just trying to get extra money and that really annoys me. Serializing romance novels with cliffhangers and the demand for the reader to spend additional money to find out what happens is a cheap trick and I'm sad to say I ignored my instincts on this one. My only excuse was that I had bought this book before the first one and when I realized it was a sequel, I went and spent money on the first.
Sorry to say, this author is going on the never-buy-again shelf. This is really too bad because I checked her website and some of her books look like the kind of drama-fests the angst-whore in me adores so much. But if her other books involve characters like Misty and serialized storytelling, I am definitely going to have to pass. This one is just not for me.

Let me start of by saying I loathed the first book, the only reason I read this one was because the first one had a cliffie and I can't stand having unresolved stuff even if it's from a book I didn't like.
This book starts out sixteen months after the first one ends Misty is in the land of fairy far away from Domenico and trying to get over him. She is an ambassador for the fairy and she teams up with Lysander, she finally sees Domenico again after all this time and he is trying his hardest to win her back. Misty has changed a little bit, in the first she was weak willed and weepy in this book she is supposed to be strong but for me she just came across as a bitch. She emotionally tortured Domenico because she was hurt and it felt like she just wanted to get back at him for hurting her, plus she still cried, a lot.
Domenico changed in this book as well, he went from a self assured alpha male to a big freakn wimp. He gives up everything to be her personal little whipping boy to make up for humiliating her, he may have been a cuntfart in the first book but at least I respected his alpha male attitude in this one he was just sad and pathetic.
I'm just glad this book had a HEA and I don't have to torture myself again, yes there is a lead in for another one but since there is no cliffhanger I'm good.

Was looking for a groveling book and I got it!! But I didn't even realize this was a sequel until I started reading 😂 But honestly I read it just fine as a second chance romance lol

This was an amazing reading.
This must be one of a handful of books where the hero really works hard to be forgiven. Domenico doesn't rely only on his charm and yummy/sex god factor but he goes to extreme lengths to earn Misty's forgiveness. There was a real character development in Domenico's case and so, when finally we get our , we could just sit, relax and enjoy it.
In this book we get to see more of the faerie realm and it was a nice trip, although sometimes a little confusing because the story happens 16 months after Misty left Domenico, and therefore there are new characters in her life about whom we know nothing at all but she treats them just like if they were old friends.
Special thanks to the author for not dragging the story. There is so much to learn about this world Marian Tee has created, but we can move forward and see what happens while falling in love with new characters and love stories.
The reason I give this book 4 stars instead of 5 is because I feel there has not been enough development when it comes to the " Master". In this 2 books we have learned that no race is safe from inside betrayal, but nothing really solid about the villain himself.
I will definitely be reading the next book in this series!

This was much much better than the sequel.
Loved it!
Domenico is whipped ( I liked that change). Misty has become more confident and badass and there is a heart melting romance ( sigh, at last ).
I actually liked the third character, our not gay but pretending gay ( Something's seriously wrong with this guy, which guy pretends to be gay? No offend to gays, I respect and love them) Where were we? Oh Yeah, our not gay Lysander who also falls in love with Misty.
Who will she choose? Her ex husband and best friend?
By the way, the story is not only about them, the major part revolves around them but there is a minor story on the war that might just happen and these guys with faeries are preparing to stop it.
Loved it!

I actually liked the third character, our not gay but pretending gay ( Something's seriously wrong with this guy, which guy pretends to be gay? No offend to gays, I respect and love them) Where were we? Oh Yeah, our not gay Lysander who also falls in love with Misty.
Who will she choose? Her ex husband and best friend?
By the way, the story is not only about them, the major part revolves around them but there is a minor story on the war that might just happen and these guys with faeries are preparing to stop it.

This wasn't quite as good as the first one, but I still enjoyed it. I just wish Misty would have forgiven Domineco a little faster. He did everything for her, even giving up his leadership and she kept brushing him off! I'm glad it worked out in the end, a great HEA ending!

Yea for Marian for finally writing the sequel for The Werewolf Prince and I. After that cliffhanger at the end, which still makes me cringe, I was excited to see where Misty and Domenico would end up. After Misty decided to work with the Fae, I was excited when I read she was training with weapons. Having that girl finally get tougher was one of the greatest things Marian could do for this character. Although she cries a lot, she has strength were it counts and when its needed. I liked that Marian really made Domenico suffer and work for it in this book. Men sometimes have it too easy when they have looks and money behind them. Marian's writing style can be challenging if you are one to follow traditional means. Whereas yes she switches perspective from character to character and uses third person at times, but I see where she would need that to express and show the reader all the things that are going on. Marian throws many challenges at Misty and Domenico, which makes this an emotional roller coaster for the reader full of anticipation and suspense. With the new character introduced, Lysander, I am curious where Marian will take him in her next book.

4.5 wolfish stars! The author came a long way with her writing. She took her time coming out with book 2 and it paid off. Also the hero really redeemed himself and I love all the ways the author showed us. The fact that it wasn't just with the way he treated the heroine but the way he allowed others to treat him as well. I mean I still felt heart broken for what she went through in book 1 but damn he really deserved to be forgiven and I'm a bitch about things like this so that really shocked me.

PART TWO AND ITS BETTER THAN THE FIRST BOOK
In this second and concluding part to Misty and Domenico's story, things have certainly changed. Misty is no longer the wimpy and gullible person she was in the first book. After discovering Domenico's lies she leaves him. All too late he realises the mistakes that he has made with her. He is determined to win her back at any price.
Misty has aligned herself with the faeries. It's there that another shows his interest in her, but is she still in love with Domenico? There's is much danger and with the threat of war allegiances are tested.
I liked this story even more than the first, it was nice to see Misty's character show real growth. Domenico has changed as well he's learnt his lesson the hard way. His lies and manipulating behaviour has left him with nothing. But I was still rooting for him. The writing is descriptive and emotional. There are plenty of hot sex scenes in this they're very passionate and sensual. Add in all the drama fleshing out the rest of the story and a whole cast of other interesting characters, made this a satisfying read to end to this mini series.

I had been waiting forever for ARH to come out...and the multiple delays added to my anticipation (and frustration), but I have to say that Book 2 did not disappoint!
PLUS POINTS:
- Domenico really really grovels in this book, and manages to redeem himself for everything he did in Book 1. The slight overdose of Domenico's soft side in this book makes up for the almost lack of any human emotions in Book 1.
- Like Book 1, ARH has a lot of funny scenes and friendly banter between the characters, which I loved! Also, the background characters from Book 1 are further developed in this book, and they are likeable and very relatable (and I would love to see them have their own romance stories in future sequels). I loved the Caros teenage trio, and would like to see more of them in future books
- Even though I loved TWPAI, I could tell that Tee has definitely refined/polished her writing style further, which takes ARH to a new level in terms of literary ability. All critics of TWPAI who found the multiple change in POVs and the division of TWPAI into 2 segments, and the grammatical errors confusing would certainly have no such complaints from ARH.
NEGATIVE POINTS/LOOSE ENDS:
- Lysander's character had a few untied ends.
- Lysander's actions in this book might affect how readers' percieve him in future books
- Towards the end of the book, it seemed like Misty was constantly crying. I would have liked to see a stronger Misty.
- There were still a few grammatical errors here and there in the book--which was a little surprising since one of the major reasons for the delays was proof-reading and editing--however, they weren't major errors and did not impede the book's story line or make the plot confusing. And compared to the first book, which was criticized by a few readers for having a lot of errors, the grammatical errors in this book are few and far in between.
In conclusion, ARH is delightful and it lived up to my expectations. The book ended on a perfect note: a sweet ending to satisfy the reader, but also just enough unsolved mystery to keep the reader interested for more books in the future. Domenico's character shined outstandingly through and through. Even though I would have liked Misty to be a little more warrior-like and a little less wimpy-ish, she made up for it with her amazing humor, pure heart, loyalty and compassion towards Dom and the Faeries, and her willingness to forgive!! Would be waiting for more books from Tee in the future.

Following up with the tragic heart stopping issue Misty has with Dominico~ I mean brutal humiliation...
This book really doesn't skip a beat with wear we left off with the first book. I loved the reinforcing of all my favorite characters and where their allegiance lies with the chaos about to rain havoc on our lovely couple.
Misty has become a better version of herself by living with the Fae, stronger and yet still quite broken inside. She has been learning to not only fight with a sword but also what to fight for. You can never be sure where the hearts will be lead during your reading of this book. Will Misty and Dominico ever think they are worth one another?? What about the Hot Co-Ambassador Lysander, Misty is working with?? All these suitors and not enough time. So many kept secrets in this second installment of the Moretti Wolves.
Marian Tee has carefully constructed a fantastic stage for the series to unfold upon. So many ways to take it and I for one will be there reading the entire way.

I read the first book and couldn't wait to read the next one. I had to see what happened after the way the first one ended.
Domenico knows that he will have his work cut for him to get Misty back after what he did to her. He finds out that he really loves her only to lose her.
Misty goes to live with the fairies and learns how to use a sword and how to take care of herself. She wants a way to get over the feelings and hurt that Domenico did to her.
This was even more exciting then the first one. I wanted Misty to end up with Domenico so bad and was afraid that she would fall for one of the fairies or something else. I really liked the ending and couldn't have picked a better one.

I was not dissapointed and the wait was definitely well worth. I loved Misty and Domenico(and his wicked ways)..
The book continues after MIsty left Domenico.. And well i was so glad at the change in Domenico and specially Misty who was a joy for me because of her change of personality!! I love the last scene i will not say what it was because i want you guys to find out why;)..
So i recommend it to people who like fun, hot males, steamy scenes, love confessions, paranormal and fights ..

Like its predecessor, this was an okay book for me. What I do like about this book are: 1) The male protagonist does a lot of groveling to win back his love; and 2) The inclusion of other paranormal species was interesting. However, the whole plot seem all over the place. I also detected at least a couple of grammatical errors, which seem ironic considering the female protagonist is supposed to be a grammar nazi. Overall, I still enjoyed reading this book.

Well worth the wait!! Marian knows how to tease us with a cliffhanger like she did in the first book but wow did she pull it all together here.
It was great to meet the Caros and learn more about everyone. The story moves really well and it's interesting to see a male lead character so determined on forgiveness! Nice touch!

i totally absolutely loved it...for a change the hero really grovelled for a second chance with the herione...i hate it when heroines forgive and give in too easily...ah but Domenico...my love...he was a star...how he grovelled n re-claimed Misty was an absolute delight to read...5 big fucking stars...

The book was amazing!!!!! I felt like I waited forever, but it was so worth the wait. The emotional roller coaster will keep you on the edge of your seat!!! Domenico just made me fall in love with him. Misty had me worried, but she has grown into a strong, independent woman. It's a definite must read!!!

I loved both these books for this series. In this book Domenico does everything possible to get Misty back. I loved the romance and suffering between the character but I do think Misty should have forgiven earlier. I had hope the ending would have been a bit better but I see the reasoning behind it. Really hope their another in future for Lysander and Star.

In this book Domenico does everything possible to get Misty back. I loved the passion and misery between them with the highs and lows of being heartbroken and then having hope.
I had anticipated a different ending however true to the cliff hanger mode to set up another book, the author left us holding our breaths.

Entertaining and I really liked the setup for the next book. I'm thinking Lysander and Estrella are going to get a story and the "Master" villain that we got a glimpse of with his enthralled females was really interesting.

Wicked, it was cool how this novel shaped up so much confusion. Honestly, I felt sorry for Lysander until the ending of the novel, then I smiled joyfully. I really can't wait to see what Marian Tee has set up for the third novel. Once again,she's an author to watch out for.
