Dalia went out one night looking for trouble, when she woke up the next day chained to a wall, she realized she had found more than she bargained for. That night changed her, haunted her and she spent years hunting down the man responsible. Plans change when she becomes the one hunted. The man sent after her is handsome, and sets her body on fire, but he is an enemy, right?
Bron's task was simple: find Dalia and bring her back to their oracle. It's his one chance at redemption and his last chance to earn back the trust of his brothers. When he finds out she is one of their deadliest enemies he's torn between his duty to the tribe and his feelings for a woman who fate has marked as his mate.

Who knew a lion & a vampire could mate?! I love how Bron finally found his mate. But having a soulmate takes more than just loving someone. TRUST is soo important. This story was written soo well. All of the pieces just fell together.
This was pretty good. It was kinda confusing for awhile. But then things started to make sense about half way through. I thought that it was different and an easy read. I loved all the sexy possessive males. Lion shifter are a favorite of mine.
I would have given book 2 a 5 star rating, had it not been for Dalia’s character. The running theme so far in this series is that the women have been beyond stubborn. To the point where they’re putting others in danger. That’s a character flaw for me because it shows an excessive amount of pride and self centerness. For me, Dalia and Zahra are one and the same with their temperament and lack of cooperation. Then it appears that book 3 is going to be much of the same with Frankie ignoring sound reasoning as well. It’s like Ms. Andersen is stuck and can’t seem to push herself past this obsession she has with excruciating stubbornly women. It would be nice to see some other characteristics explored besides this foolish and stagnating characteristic.
This series by Dria Andersen introduces us to the world of the Aje and Ajo. The Aje are an African tribe who worship the Goddess Oya. After a tragic incident, the Goddess is angered and punishes the Aje Warriors who were assigned to protect her temple. The rest of the tribe is scattered throughout the world (mostly due to the transatlantic slave trade). Centuries later, the curse is lifted as a descendent of the Aje steps into her destined role.
In book 2 we meet the new ala irini Dalia and her mate Bron. Bron is actually introduced in book 1 as he is one of the Aje warriors who were cursed centuries ago. He has worked in the fight against the Ajo for over 500 years. Now that the curse is lifted, he has found his mate. The twist is Dalia is an Ajo. With the guidance of the Goddess Oya, the help of the oracle Zahra, Fynn and the other Aje warriors, Dalia and Bron continue the battle with the Ajo as they solidify their mating.
Well, Nala is a power-hungry nut who feels she is a better mate for Bakari, so she had his mate killed. Combined with having the village attacked, it shows how determined she is to get what she thinks is hers.
Now, having Bron mated to a supposed enemy of the tribe was a surprise twist I didn't see coming. However, now I am wondering why Oya picked that time to give Dalia the family powers.
This time, I got more questions, but I still couldn't book the book down.
That damn Dalia was about to make me throw my iPad across the room!!! OMG the woman was soooo darn stubborn and hardheaded to the point that it was maddening! Just never wanted to listen! Wanted to do everything in her own, yet KEPT running into trouble EVERY TIME!!! Poor Bron! I know my boy said, hell I’d rather return to solitary confinement than deal with these unnecessary shenanigans!
Dalia done stressed me out!! Bron can’t let go of the past and Bakari can’t either! What Dalia went through was hard to read but definitely a great read! Book 3 here I come!
A Destiny Revealed: I downloaded this free from Amazon after seeing a link for it on one of the many Facebook pages I follow. I wouldn't have been disappointed if I had paid for this book! The book had me hooked from the start and I surprised by the fact I didn’t skip read over any part of the book. That doesn’t happen with many books for me. The relationship between Daria and Bron is not your typical ‘paranormal mates’ scenario. There are others who do not approve of the relationship and circumstances beyond their control that are at play against them. The book on the whole has been well written and had me hooked from the beginning. It offers suspense, some HOT scenes and tells the story form a number of different POV’s which really helped to give a better understanding of the story. All in all I really enjoyed this book and recommend it.
Unfortunately, even with the interesting premise, this book just didn't hold my attention. I found the main character irritating and the story very confusing. I feel like there should have been more explanation, more build up...just more to start with in general. Instead, I felt like I was dropped in to an on-going story with very little understanding of the main characters, the good guys or even the bad guys.
I didn't feel the chemistry between the characters, either. Disappointing, but obviously there's others out there who enjoyed this book immensely.
What a crock! From the cover depicting a skinny young light colored guy, to the betrayal so easily forgiven, to him bullying her and then questioning her trust and shutting her out for it - when hello? you just betrayed her! To, last but not least, letting the bad guy go at the end for no good reason!!! The "hero" was a jerk! It started off good, but it just left me with too much crap to try to swallow. Also, missing a lot of needed little words to make sense.
