Wow!!!!!!!!!

What a brilliant and enjoyable book this is.

Do you like future earth sci-fi? How about if we chuck in a touch of fantasy? Now, to that we'll add horror (and images that could have come from the imagination of Clive Barker)!

Still with me? Right, now to all that add a bunch of characters that would be at home in a noir detective/ gangster type novel.

And there you have it - a mix of genres that don't always work together but in this case really do, with scenes that'll have you picking your jaw off the floor just in time for it to drop again.

With Peter Lukes the future of Sci-fi is in safe hands. This guy deserves to be up there with the big names - surely it is only a matter of time.

Good afternoon I thought this book was a fantastic read, the character was perfect, and so all the other groups that was introduced on the way in this sci-fi adventure, as I am an sci-fi geek to heart I would recommend this to someone who likes movies like aliens and Independence Day and men in black all rolled into one. It was a superb read.

This book is set in the far future, when the whole world had been taken over by a race of creatures called Titans, the humans call them demons.

This book is a really really well written and fun read! Dragons, and strange creations, a living fortress and more...

I really hope Peter Lukes plans to give us more of this story, it left me wanting a sequel or a prequel!

This would make a great movie!

I am so happy to have won this book on Goodreads!

I won this book from a Goodreads first-reads giveaway.

Though I initially found it slow-going and not flowing very easily, as well as being a bit confused, it did improve as time went on. It is an interesting take on a post-apocalyptic world where the humans must fight for survival against almost insurmountable odds. It also shows how a group can unite against the oppressive nature of their environment and find an unlikely hero. The story always made me think, what's going to happen now. Made me want to know what comes next.

Many apocalyptic stories take place during or shortly after the event. This story takes place it seems a very long time after the apocalyptic event. Humanity has either forgotten or been robbed of its past by a conquering race called the Titans. It is an interesting take because so much time has passed under Titan rule that it has become the status quo. It is a mix of sci fi /fantasy /apocalypse. The world is well developed as are the characters. It was a fun read.

An enjoyable spin into a dark future that's insane in a good way. It had a theatrical feel to it, and I'd *really* like to see this in a graphic novel. The voicing and imagery reminded me of a graphic novel called Kill Audio, by the lead singer of Coheed and Cambria. In fact, I think some hard rock goes well with this book. I'd be interested in checking out a sequel.

I think another reviewer said it first..."WOW!"

I must say, I'm not a huge sci-fi/fantasy book reader, but this was one I would definitely recommend. Well written, great characters, intriguing story line. AWESOME ending. I can only hope there will be a book 2 for this one, as I would love to see what happens next!!!

Excellent book. Loved the storyline and the characters. A very creative world was invented for the story and then brought to life. I would recommend reading it.
