Rate this book
When a massive earthquake traps Zaac and Ramira underground, the unfolding events set them on a course unimaginable changing their lives completely.

Seventeen year old Zaac is a typical funny teenager living in the Great Smoky Mountains. Even though he doesn’t know Ramira, the two unsuspecting teens are thrown into a vast subterranean cave system as the earth begins to open.

Together they face tests each day going beyond normal human limits to live and survive. Somehow in the midst of this nightmare, a friendship is formed, bonded by their continual dependence upon one another.

As time turns from days to months, they have only each other to maintain some sense of hope, unaware of what lies hiding, buried deep within the darkness.

Will Zaac and Ramira ever know life outside this frightening ordeal? Will they remain trapped forever in a maze of tunnels?

Cave Dwellers is the first in a series.

I can't say I liked the characters in this, but I didn't dislike them either.

This bored me quite early on unfortunately, and it got worse as the book progressed. It just couldn't gain my interest.

Overall, Not a very enjoyable read for me unfortunately.

This was a good book, despite the way it is told. I usually prefer books that allow the reader to experience the action as it goes, instead of books that are being told to the reader. This one is more in the line of telling instead of experiencing, but it was still a good book. I do like the descriptions, the storyline and the characters.

Don't think this book will be a "reality" story. It is fantasy and should be read as such.
I would recommend it for younger readers.
It was a free kindle read when I picked it up and I have since learned that it is fast becoming a bestseller since published in April 2013.
