This prequel only made me want more of Harper Adams! I can’t wait for the release of the first book in this new series.we meet Harper when she’s awoken on the middle of the night by a noise. We learn a little about a situation that led to her being suspended. So many questions are raised and I know this will be an amazing series.

Being woken up in the middle of the night by a noise-this is literally my worst nightmare especially when I'm home alone.
I was hooked after that opening!
As the story progressed, I found myself drawn to the storyline and Harper's past. For a prequel, this one gave me quite a bit of emotion! It is well written, and it gives good insight for what's to come. I also liked Officer Martin. She is such a likable character.
Patiently waiting for Little Girl Vanished. Can't wait!!

"Probable Cause" is a prequel as well as a novella outlining the reasons Harper Adams decided to quit her job as a police officer with the Little Rock PD and move back home to Lone County, Arkansas. We also get a brief glimpse at Harper's slimy ex boyfriend, Keith. It is clear that he was trying to set her up to take a fall. Except, Harper had one thing going for her, Officer Martin. She is a young officer responding to Harper's breaking and entering cause and have enough foresight to warn Harper to quit the force and move away before the PD brings her down on trumped up charges. Officer Martin is also, about to quit the PD and move to Lone County. They are destined to be friends. This was a very brief but helpful foray into Harper's previous life.

Talk about pulling your readers in and leaving them wanting more. I'm super excited for this new series by Denise Grover Swank. This is a snippet of what you can expect from the series, so don't expect a lengthy read her, it's a really short, but soooooooo worth it.

I enjoyed this prequel to the first Harper Adams book. This little snippet into Harper’s life gives us enough of a preview of her current predicament, her past and her character to make reading more almost a requirement. I’m invested now.
