Completed OT once and NT twice this year. I love this version as a Study Bible. The notes are at the beginning of each book, along with questions for reflection. I prefer this layout rather than interspersed within the text as it seems less distracting.

I have an older NIV version of this bible. Great guided way to read through the Bible. I used the Blue letter Bible one year chronological reading plan so I read the Bible in the order it was written. The premise is letting the Scriptures (66 books/letters) speak directly to you without man's commentary essentially the way it was intended. Good room for notes along the side. a complaint is I have the hard cover version. it is a bit heavy and the binding falls apart. I've had to tape it to keep it together. I will buy a new one with hopefully a stronger binding in the NASB version I think.

This book was given to me as a gift after my divorce and since then I have read it every other year while following a Bible in a year reading plan. It’s weathered, worn and well used. I’ve enjoyed the note taking option and the study materials I’ve seen new things every time I’ve read it.

I enjoy the ESV and the wide margins in this Bible are great for note taking. I do, however, find myself reaching for my study Bible over this one.

I used this Bible to do a Rapid Bible Read Through (read through the Bible in 5 months) using Keith Ferrin's RBRT method.

I was very happy with the ESV translation. I didn't use all of the cross-references and study notes in the Bible since the primary purpose of the RBRT is to read through the Bible in a short time rather than stop and follow every note and reference along the way. The type size and font of the text printed in the Bible was very readable and the Bible was comfortable to hold and read even though the book was quite large and fairly heavy. The content of the cross-references and study notes that I did look at was informative.

The only complaint that I have is the smallest point-size used for some of the cross-references is too small for me to see without magnification of some sort and it is a pain to have to take a picture of the page with my phone and zoom in or go find a magnifying glass to be able to read a cross-reference.

I have not yet used the Inductive Study Method features of this Bible and I look forward to getting started using them now that I am finished with the RBRT for 2018.

For my 2020-2021 read-through, I read this in tandem with The Bible Recap podcast and also used The Bible Project videos as an introduction to each book. I highly recommend this approach!

I love this the New Inductive Study Bible (ESV)! It’s a door stopper of a book, but the wide margins for note-taking are worth the extra weight. I also love having the option to write the chapter themes at the beginning of each chapter. I also used the tables in the back of each chapter to summarize what I was reading. One other plus (for me) is the lack of commentary, as I tend to get distracted by commentary and read through the lens of that. With the NISB, that isn’t a temptation. Of course commentaries are important, but that’s not what I needed for my daily readings.

I love this Bible and am going to miss it while I do my next read-through of a different translation.
