I have seen empires crumble and kings and queens fall.
I have seen mountains of fire and the bowels of the earth as it was ripped asunder. I have seen plagues of death claim good along with evil. I have seen war and strife take men, women and children. I have seen the earth decimated by nature and by man. I have seen the blood of your ancestors run through my fingers.
I have died a thousand deaths and lived a thousand lives. I have been called countless names, but only one has followed me from my tormented birth.
I am the devourer of worlds.
Take a deep breath, my friend, because it will be your last.
Are you afraid? You will be.

The Coven has finally managed to awaken an ancient horror after thousands of years searching for the key. The Romans thought they were the first of their kind. But, they might just learn that there are older and more evil things in the world. Things that should have remained buried and forgotten. Things that should have been left alone.
Aya, Zac and the few left they can call friends are scattered. Zac has left with Nye to find the Three and taken Aya's heart with him. But, Aya has her own path to follow. One that will take her back to the dark past of her own kind, where wars were fought and secrets and betrayals walked hand in hand. To get answers she will need the help of one of the most powerful witches to ever walk the earth, the founding witch Katrin. But, Katrin is dead by her hand.
They will need all the allies they can get. Even if they come in the form of their greatest enemies. There is only one way to get through this… together.
What comes next will change the game and ignite a fear greater than anything they've ever known. The epic battle that could see the end of all things is just beginning.
Something is coming…

A fun read

The story was well written and exciting to follow Zac as he battled to find his true meaning of his new existence as a vampire. All the characters were easy to relate to.

Great

Great I'm only sorry it's over. I hope to read more of Nicole Taylor's work. If it is any thing like the witch hunter I know I will love it.
