Truly excellent, another great title. Amazing that such a small book still has info that is new. I especially liked the bit on territories and possessions. Only complaint is that the pics of the state flags were really too small to see any detail.

Literally one of my favorite basher books ever. Super informative, very fun to read. I love learning new things about the states, so this is a really good read. it also has 5 US territories, which is cool to read about since we don't really study those in school.
Love this book sooo much.

I love the Basher books. I love them because my son loves to read them, and because he always learns something from them. They are quirky and interesting.

I liked the States and Capitals book because it was fun! It made every state important by giving each state a fun fact about how the states got their names and capitals. It also gave each state a personality which I think would be a great way for the students to remember each state and their capitals. This book could be used in a lesson about comparing and contrasting. Each student could compare and contrast two states and give explanations on why. Also, this book could be used in an activity where each student picked a state and went in depth with their own research. I could incorporate a portion of this project with the students creating false facts of their chosen state and real facts about their state. The students could present their facts and false facts, and have the other students choose which one is real or not. This book would be appropriate for 3rd graders.

A fun facts books for young kids to get to know a little bit more about each state.
This is a great book for young readers. It's filled with interesting, fun facts about what each state is known for, it's brief history, what makes it unique, when it became part of the US, it's motto, state bird, and so much more. There is a lot packed into this book. My kids have loved reading it. I learned some new things while reading it with my kids. This is a great book to have at home or in the classroom.
