Picking a kids book up on a whim in a doctors waiting room isn't unusual for me, but what is unusual is the content of this one. A mum is so exhausted she tells her two little ones that she's so tired, she's going to go straight to bed as soon as they do. Well this mumma was so exhausted she couldn't make it to bed. Fell asleep right on the kids bed during story time and she couldn't be woken! The kids put her to bed, right down to pj's, there was even a pic of her in her bra lol. For a quick moment I thought she was dead, well maybe for a millisecond. Daddy comes home from work and tells them how proud he is of their exemplary behaviour. Cute.

My son loved this book. It became a favourite. It's a gentle story about two kids with very ordinary home life - nothing fancy, and 2 parents who are leading busy lives - Dad comes in with a lunch box, wearing overalls, looking tired himself, and lovingly tucks in his daughters after they tenderly tuck in their exhausted mum.

This is a lovely book to share, and with which to encourage the beginning reader.

This is a story of two sisters, Sue and Jenny, who switch roles with their mommy during bedtime because she is tired. The two sisters help mommy undress, read her a bedtime story, and tuck her in. Once mommy is asleep, daddy comes home from work. He thanks the girls for taking care of mommy, tucks them in, and says goodnight. This book can be used when discussing family structures.

This is a cute story. I read it because I'd been told the family in the story is multicultural. The story makes no social points about being multicultural. It's just a cute story with illustrations of different-looking people.
