I could not finish this book.
Reasons why:
1. The first person present tense of the writing. I get that it was probably done to allow the reader to get to know the characters better. That's fine. But it leads me to my second reason...
2. The characters were atrocious. Nothing but perfect, beautiful people. There is no depth to them. They are utterly shallow and materialistic.
3. The author decided to alternate view points. This is a common technique and can be handy. Except for the fact that I would read a chapter from one view point and then retread everything through another individual's view point without any reason. Nothing was added to the story this way. It made for totally useless and boring chapters.
4. The writing was just bad. It felt like a 13 year old wrote this. I think even if it'd been done in third person past I still would have been struggling.
5. Say hello to insta-love in the first quarter of the book. It's basically love at first sight due to the fact that both characters are just so freaking hot. *rolls eyes* I've overlooked insta-love in the past but this was just bad.
The plot seemed interesting enough. It's a shame everything else was so poorly done that I couldn't finish it. Steer clear of this one folks.

Julie Kagawa step aside because L.P. Dover is here to give you competition. Her work is captivating and full of adventure. L.P. Dover is an amazingly talented writer. Forever Fae takes you on adventure like no other. I love the modern twist on fae's. The heat and passion between Calista and Ryder is INTENSE to say the least. There are different characters who each have their own personality and they are all unique in their own ways, you just can't help to love them all.
The Winter Court Prince is serious, protective and head over heals in lover with Calista.
Calista is the Summer Court Princess, one to bring change to the fae.
You have the best friend Xylia who likes to color her hair and is as quirky as all.
Merrick is hilarious always has some kind of smart ass comment but you're heart goes out to him, because he loves so deeply.
Meliantha, the sister who is always there, loves nature and has a kind heart.
To find out about these characters and more you must read Forever Fae, you will not be disappointed. I highly recommend this for those who love paranormal adult books.

I truly can't believe the good reviews this book has received. I didn't even get halfway through it. The writing did not flow well at all. The characters were so juvenile. The different point of views were just annoying. It's so repetitive and I just couldn't handle how predictable the characters were. A very cheesy and lame book.

Ok, this is the first fantasy romance I've read in AAAAAAAGES and I totally forgot just how much I loved them!!! I also read this book with my WONDERFUL *squeezy huggy* Book Buddy and reviewer extraordinaire, Miss Branwen *bows her into the room*.
Ok *cough* review-ish time *grins*
Forever Fae is a fantasy/romance novel about a Princess of the Summer Court in the land of the Fae (far-far-away). The lead character and said princess is named Calista. Shes a frickin awesome heroine and sex-betch who can just about kick anyone (or anything's) butt.
So, the book starts when Calista turns 18 years old and is paired with her new guardian and best friend Merrick (WOOOO MERRICK I LOVE YOU *throws panty-ho's*). Together they are blood bonded and he is trusted with the duty of protecting Calista for the rest of her life, it also helps that he's madly in love with her. Then enters...dun, dun .....dunnnnnnnn, drop dead gorgeous Prince Ryder from the Winter Court. Of course he and Calista fall madly in love (awkward triangle emerging), under the watchful eye of their enemy Alasdair (how ominous!).
I have to say, this book thrilled and surprised me with its twists and turns... alas it even broke my heart at one point *sulks*. It truly is a novel which displays a great deal of love, happiness and sorrow. Though saying that, there were a lot of icky bits aswell. Yes, im talking about you evil wizard Alasdair. Oh god he was so creepy, i felt like washing myself repeatedly whenever he made an appearance.
I also loved how the story was told in turn by each of the main characters, it really gave you a good insight into their inner thoughts and feelings. This is SO important for a book for it to be successful, in my eyes. If you can't love the characters, or create any kind of bond or emotion toward them, then how can you love the book. You need to know how they feel and see the inner battles and expressions come out and be displayed upon the pages in front of you. L.P. Dover really got this aspect 100% right and i could already tell from the first chapter i would love this book.
Ok, so I mentioned a love triangle yes? Ok, before you start thinking "oh FFS not another one!!" ITS NOT THE SAME, STAY HERE, READ ON & TRUST ME!! This is different and if you give the book a chance you will totally see what I mean. Calista isn't like other whiney heroines I don't care to mention (*cough*sparkley vampires*cough*) she's decisive and doesn't string along the opposite sex, which is another reason why shes awesome :-) !
This was a refreshing change to the dull-ness of recent fantasy romance and totally deserves a 4-star rating!
Oh... yeah im meant to be critical about something arent I? ... *thinks* .... OH YES!! That's one gripe I had, the blurb stated this was an adult romance and most certainly was not a YA *wags finger*. However I didn't think anything was that bad, in fact it could have been steamier. I can see you wouldn't want a child reading this, but adult teens, I don't see a problem :-) .. considering the book was about an adult teen :-P

~~ Amazing ~~ Spectacular ~~ Talented ~~
ARC for my enjoyment, then as a avid reader I feel it only right to give my fair and unbiased opinion in a review.
Firstly I need to thank author Leslie Paige Dover for the wonderful opportunity to read this fantastic book of hers!! Thank you, I loved it and can’t wait for the next book to come out. *tapping foot*
Forever Fae was/is so awesome, yes I know that this word is used a lot.. But it’s the truth, it’s amazing. When you see the title “Forever Fae” you might think oh no it’s a Tinkerbell fairy princess type of book… but I’m here to tell you that this book is so not a Tinkerbell!!! Although there is a Princess, and one with a destiny.
L.P. Dover has created a phenomenal novel, that will transport you into the world of fae as you take the journey along with her characters that are all yours to travel with as the story unfolds before you, then captivates you, taking you to the Summer and Winter Courts of Fae.
Calista has a destiny, one that is to change the land of Fae. One that also is to protect her kingdom from the evil darkness that threatens to destroy it. (grrr, it better not)
She is one lucky women in some ways, well all right in a lot of ways! She’s a princess, has her own kingdom and has not one but two handsome men who crave her heart and love. The ever dashing warrior Merrick, (he‘s my favorite) who behind everyone’s eyes trains her in readiness for battle against evil, and then enters the striking Prince of Winter Court, Ryder whom she meets as he attends the Guardian Ceremony.
Merrick can come and protect me and my heart anytime he wants. No competition in his way. (Just saying, although I know I‘m sad about him too)
His character his amazing, he’s strong. Downright hilarious with his comments, (you‘ll see when you read it) and yet so loving and devoted to the well being and safety of Calista. *GO team Merrick*
Ryder’s character is spectacular with his so seductive ways, (ooo la la) he knocks Calista for a loop big time, when they meet. Wow, to have such a dynamic and intense love for someone is absolutely breath taking and just pulls your heart strings tight. *SIGHS*
Keep in mind that there is yet another that craves Calista *nods head* oh wait, I didn’t tell you about him did I? Although I did mention a evil darkness in the beginning. *angelic smirk*
He is pure evil in my book well and this book too, and only wants her (Calista) powers and to snatch the Land of Fae!! How does the saying go? Opposites attract? Well in this case it’s true, because he craves her heart too.
Then on top it all off he knows of the prophecy, her destiny.
WAIT, don’t leave yet, you have to hear this part. Quick come back…. He is the Dark Lord, and he wants to make Calista his Dark Queen!!!! *flyz around flapping my wingz* looking for Merrick and Ryder, shouting….. Ummm do angels shout? Oh at this point I need to! Hurry up you two guys, you have to stop him, the Dark Lord and his evil can’t take over the Land of Fae and Calista’s soul. Well darn where are men when you need them? (sorry I couldn‘t resist)
Now I ask you this, will the Dark Lord succeed? Who will win Calista’s heart? And will she conquer evil to fulfill her destiny, the prophecy foretold?

I have to agree with some of the other reviewers in that I just don't understand why there are so many five-star reviews. Yes - I definitely thought it was a clever plot with a unique setting. However, the writing is amateurish at best, and confusing in several places where there are obviously words missing, or words transposed. The idea was interesting; I just didn't think it was executed very well.

A MUST READ!!!!!!!!!! Oh WOW!!! I want to live in the Land of the Fae!! Leslie did a outstanding job on this book! I love all the fae characters & the courts! I was captivated by emotions & the story from the beginning & drawn to the love that Ryder has for Calista! Leslie, this book was AMAZING! I CAN NOT WAIT for the books to follow this one! I am on a Land of the Fae high right now! ABSOLUTELY UNBELIEVABLE!!!

WOW! What an AMAZING Ride, This Book BLOW ME AWAY!
Where should I start there's SO Many things I love about this book.
This book pretty much revolves around a Princess named Calista from Summer Court and a Prince named Ryder from Winter Court. They meet on Calista's becoming of age Ceremony where warriors battle to become her guardian. When they meet it's instant love at first sight. They were drawn together by forces of magic that senses they were meant to be together. But there happily ever after will have to wait because there's a dark Sorcerer lurking in the shadows waiting for the perfect time to unleash his evil and take the Princess powers. He needs all 4 princess to have enough power to defeat the kingdoms and take over the lands. Starting with Calista is the beginning, but Calista is a fighter and she's not going down without a fight!
There's going to be 4 books, each one is about a different Princess. We have Calista and her 2 sisters and then Ryder's only sister. So in Forever Fae it's about the oldest and strongest Princess Calista and the Sorcerer trying to take her powers and her body for himself. The second book Betrayals of Spring will be out in a month, February 14th, on Valentines day what a special treat! That will be about the second oldest Princess Meliantha.
If you like magic and romance filled with evil and adventure then Forever Fae is your book!
OH! and there's a HOT and STEAMY love scene at the end of the book with VIVID DEATILS! I would read the book just for that Chapter LOL!
Trust me this is a must read and if you don't pick it up your really missing out because this book took me for and AMAZING ride and Book two is right around the corner. I give this book a 5 Star rating and would give more if I could but 5 the most. Go and check it out you won't be sorry! :-)
L.P DOVER'S REVISED VERSION: REVIEW OF "FOREVER FAE"
L.P Dover has decided to revise "Forever Fae" and the revision she has done, has done serious justice for "Forever Fae"! NOT that it wasn't an AMAZING read the first time around because it was, but the revised copy was SO MUCH better then the first!
"Forever Fae" was L.P Dover's FIRST book, so that being said I give her mad props for the first copy of "Forever Fae" being as good as it was! As a first time writer she did an AMAZING job with her first book! But their was parts of the book that some readers thought could be changed/adjusted/reworded etc... And that's is what L.P has done in the revised copy. She has taken out ALL of the repeated scenes from different POV's! The book still has different POV's, but your not re-living the same scene as the chapter before but just with a different POV. I think that was the main problem that some readers had with this book. They did not like having to re-live the same scene just from a different POV. So with that taken out and some of the wording changed in the book it has improved tremendously!
I think ALL readers of "Forever Fae series" will approve of the new change and enjoy it much more then the first time around! I liked both versions of "Forever Fae". I didn't mind the repeated scenes of different POV's. I actually enjoyed getting different POV's of the same scene, because their was a lot of things happening in this book and not everyone was there when a particular scene happened, so it was hard to know how everyone felt while everything was happening. But the first "Forever Fae" allowed readers to understand all feelings on each scene!
But the NEW and IMPROVED "Forever Fae" offers much more then the first "Forever Fae" did! You get the same story as before, but just a better version of it. The description was more thought out and better presented to the reader. The repeated scenes were gone, so we only get one version of the each scene, and the overall feel of the story seemed to flow better and was more fasted-paced then the first!
So overall I enjoyed BOTH versions of "Forever Fae" BUT I enjoyed the revised copy much more! I would give the new revised copy a definite 5 stars, as I gave the first copy the same rating! They both were GREAT!

I think ALL readers of "Forever Fae series" will approve of the new change and enjoy it much more then the first time around! I liked both versions of "Forever Fae". I didn't mind the repeated scenes of different POV's. I actually enjoyed getting different POV's of the same scene, because their was a lot of things happening in this book and not everyone was there when a particular scene happened, so it was hard to know how everyone felt while everything was happening. But the first "Forever Fae" allowed readers to understand all feelings on each scene!
But the NEW and IMPROVED "Forever Fae" offers much more then the first "Forever Fae" did! You get the same story as before, but just a better version of it. The description was more thought out and better presented to the reader. The repeated scenes were gone, so we only get one version of the each scene, and the overall feel of the story seemed to flow better and was more fasted-paced then the first!
So overall I enjoyed BOTH versions of "Forever Fae" BUT I enjoyed the revised copy much more! I would give the new revised copy a definite 5 stars, as I gave the first copy the same rating! They both were GREAT!

Cute and sweet romantic tale!
I’ve read a lot of fiction featuring faeries, including kids lit, YA, and adult: Iron King by Julie Kagawa, Tithe by Holly Black, Spiderwick Chronicles also by Holly Black, Fablehaven by Brandon Mull, Cold Days by Jim Butcher, and Iron Kissed by Patricia Briggs.
Everybody handles the fae in a slightly different manner, and I had to put aside my pre-conceived notions. L.P. Dover has a fresh way of depicting the fae. Certainly not quite as dark as I am used to (even the kids lit like Fablehaven and Spiderwick Chronicles portrays the fae as a menacing force, not always evil, but definitely uncaring to the human plight). L.P. Dover’s Forever Fae is different in that it is not about human interactions with the fae, but more about the fae in their own world.
I was reminded of a high school setting without the angst: from the parties and dresses to the dialogue. But this is by no means a YA book. The love scenes are a bit too racy, though not beyond anything you’d normally find in a romance novel.
WHAT I LIKED
Awesome ending. The plot was certainly tight. Pacing was good. And the evil villain is certain nasty enough to get my hackles up.
I liked Calista. She loved to read and was kind to those around her. She also was thoughtful—not in being caring, but in that she thought about things. But then, people who read usually do think more about things. She understood the people around her, what made them tick, and who they were on the inside. And yet, I could totally see why she’d miss the fact that Merrick (her best friend) had been in love with her for years.
I liked Ryder too. He was a good depiction of a Winter warrior prince, cold and calculating.
WHAT I THOUGHT COULD BE IMPROVED
I thought the romance could have used more time to develop. A little less lust and falling in love at first sight, and a little more friendship and more conversation.

I can’t wait to see how this author grows. As she adds depth to her characters and plot lines and strengthens her writing style (like learning how to show more and tell less), she’s going to be an awesome writer.

No. just no. I really don't get what people like about this book. If you want to save yourself from bad writing, shitty/unrealistic dialogue, and characters faker than a really bad spray tan, take this review to heart. Even though this book has the most beautiful cover I have ever seen… It is the worst book I have ever read. The only reason I picked this book up was because the cover was so beautiful and the idea sounded interesting. I am so disappointed because I was really rooting for this book to be good.
First of all the writing was so bad I felt like I was reading fanfction written by an 11 year old. The first person point of view was atrocious to say the least. I literally had to skim most of the end it was so bad.
Moving on to the heart of the problem: The characters. They have absolutely no depth and the most you find out about them is that they are beyond attractive people who want nothing more than to go around banging each other. No backstory, no personality, NOTHING! They are lifeless assholes who are so full of shit they can't see past their own self worth. Also the emotions they "feel" are so unrealistic. I feel nothing but annoyed listening to them bitch about how jealous they were of watching a girl they were attracted to hug another man… Before Ryder and Calista or whatever her name is even met, Ryder says that "He'd never been more jealous in his life" while watching her talk to her best guy friend. WTF
Oh and can we talk about the "love" aspect of this story? It was the most terrible case of instalove I have ever seen in a book. I kid you not they literally said I love you within minutes of meeting each other. WTF! The characters never even say why they love each other… Oh and the love scene at the end was anything but romantic. This whole book revolved around Ryder and Calista having sex to save their kingdom or whatever.

5 STARS! I just needed to say that first because “Forever Fae” was just AWESOME! L.P. Dover caught my attention with this beautiful cover, reeled me in with the first page, and kept me sucked in the whole story! Everything about this book was fabulous! “Forever Fae” is a book I suggest adding to your To Be Read list if you are a fan of magical stories involving faeries and other mystical Fae beings.
“Forever Fae” is a story of true love, fate, and destiny. It is also about evil trying to destroy everything that is good. The entire story I was hoping that the good would prevail over evil as it so often does – but I had no clue what was going to happen this time. The author had me reading so fast and turning the pages to see what would happen next. I love when a book gets me so involved like that – when my emotions get in such a frenzy!
I loved the multiple points of view throughout the novel. Being able to see the personal thoughts of the main characters was great. I thought Princess Calista was absolutely stunning, sweet, and totally badass at the same time. Prince Ryder was HOT, passionate, and a badass too. I thought Merrick the Guardian was cute, loyal, and funny as can be. The antagonist, Alisdair, was the perfect villain with the right amount of creep status. EVERYONE. WAS. GREAT! The supporting characters complimented the main characters remarkably, and I cannot wait to see more of them in the upcoming books. I felt that everything in this story had a meaning and the words were not there to simply fill space. I am very excited to read the next book in this series and see what author L.P. Dover has in store for us readers!

Well I have to say that I am not normally a person who reads books about fantasy like this but I gave it a shot and am so happy I did!
Forever Fea a book about the Winter court and Summer court and the Prince and Princess from each. A undeniable pull between the two draws them to each other. The Winter court Prince will do anything to protect his Princess. The Dark Sorcerer will do anything to get her in his hands.
This book was so intriguing and L.P. Dover has such a way with words she decribes everything so precisely that you can just picture the worlds the characters are in. It was so easy to connect with the characters to feel what they felt and to be right there routing for them all the way through. This story was so full of humour, love, betrayal, lust, good, evil and hate. The female lead, Calista was just as strong as the men she can hold her own and is not a damsel in distress type character.
I read this book in a day and I just couldn't put it down!! I was cooking dinner with Kindle in hand, I had a chance to take a nap and gave it up to read this book, I just couldn't put it down!!! I am so excited to read her next book and find out more about the Fea and their world.
I would say READ IT and READ IT NOW!!! hehe

Forever Fae by Leslie Paige Dover is an OUT OF THIS WORLD BOOK!! You will not be disappointed with Forever Fae. It has action, romance, and keeps you on the edge of your seat. I can't wait for the next book in this series.

Forever Fae was an excellent journey into the world of the Fae. Leslie Dover's descriptions created a stunning world. It unfolded right there in your mind. Her characters were believable and came to life to populate the world she had created. The story sucked me into this world and said "Don't put me down until your done." And then, it left me wanting more! I need to know what happens next. An excellent novel, Forever Fae mixes Shakespeare and modern fairy tales. Dover uses the perfect amount of each. I truly enjoyed this book.

Forever Fae is an Adult Fantasy Romance written by L.P. Dover. I read this as a R2R with the Fifty Shades Support Group. As always, a special thank you to the mods and author for allowing me to participate.

The Review:
First off, let me express how much I admire an author for the amount of blood, sweat and tears it takes to get a novel together and then have the courage to put it out there into the world for people to read and comment on it. I think anyone willing to put themselves on the chopping block like that is to be commended for their courage. With that being said, I want to add a personal note to this author and say, well done! Keep writing and know you have a beautiful imagination that will only flourish as you continue to write.
Because I said I would give my honest opinion for my review, I have to do just that, even though I personally didn’t care for this book, which I will explain my reasons below. But I am only one person. Readers are a finicky bunch. You will have some that love it and some that hate it and some that are on the fence about it. That’s normal and that’s good. It means the writer and readers have both done their jobs. I can definitely see the potential here in this story and I think with some constructive criticism, it could be great.
What I loved…
- I loved the idea of the story. I thought it was completely original to have the Fae courts named after seasons.
- I thought it was brilliant for the Fae to have different skin tone and powers for the different seasonal courts to which they belonged.
- The coming together of Calista and Ryder to change colors and create a whole new seasonal court was very imaginative and well thought out.
- I liked most of the character building in this story. Calista was easy to connect with and I liked her circle of friends.
- I really liked that Alasdair’s was mostly incorporeal and in need of body switching and stolen magic to become a real boy. That was perfectly executed in the story and very enjoyable to read.
- I loved how the author described scenes. They weren’t too flowery or overly descriptive. They were written out creatively and imaginatively and then moved on to the point of the story. So many times, especially new authors, will weigh a scene down with elaborate words, but Dover did an excellent job not doing this.
What I didn’t love…
- I had a hard time grasping the era in which the story takes place, in both writing and in dialogue. One minute I thought they were in modern times and the next, it felt like they were in old world fantasy times. For example, they rode on horses and in carriages but Calista mentioned she had a theater room as well as different colored painted rooms in the castle.
- The characters as well as the story narrator mixed Old-World English and Modern English in sentences, saying things like “Im going to kick your ass…” or “What the fuck…” or calling someone an “asshat” with things like “I shall retire to my room”. The modern and old was explained away with how the mortal world had influenced the Fae world but I think the narrator’s voice should have stayed the same throughout. It was very confusing.
- Another complaint is the writing was a bit formal and uneven. Sentences were choppy and didn’t flow well into the next. It made it hard to read. Some editing and condensing of prose could have made this a much smoother read.
- Some of the dialogue as well as character actions were very immature. Ryder and Merrick would feud at the most inappropriate times. An adult novel should have the male leads exerting their dominance or struggling for the alpha position with confidence and swagger rather than having constant adolescent bickering matches to win the females attention. Several times I just rolled my eyes and wanted to escape the school yard playground.
- I thought the romance was weak. There was a lot of time spent on how much they “wanted” each other physically, but I didn’t see much connection emotionally or mentally.
- I really thought the plot and conflict was a bit weak. I hated how easily things fell together for both Calista’s kidnapping as well as her rescue, the way it was executed and how predictable it was. I saw that coming from the first moment Ryder and Merrick met.
The Wrap Up:
This book had a lot of wonderful points. And for a first time novel, it was really good. However, there were also a lot of things that could have been culled out to make it great instead of just good. It’s not one that I will re-read and I probably won’t go on to the second book in the series. It just wasn’t for me, but I think this author has an amazing amount of potential and I can see wonderful things in store for her.

I'm very surprised by how many 4 and 5 star reviews this book has, since, in my opinion, it shouldn't even deserve 1. The description of this book sounds interesting for fans of fantasy and romance, which was why I purchased it when it was free on Amazon. What a mistake.
The story is about Calista, a fairy princess of the Summer Court, who is caught in a love triangle between her best friend and guardian, the warrior fae, Merrick, and the prince of the Winter Court, who is also her "destined true love," Ryder. There's also an evil sorcerer who wants to rape Calista and steal her magic powers and a bunch of minor characters that have absolutely no impact on the story whatsoever. Add that to poor editing and an immature writing style and this book is basically a disaster with a pretty cover.
To be more specific, my problems with this book were as follows:
1. The setting of this story in the Summer Court faerie realm and magical forests has so much potential to be fantastical and rich, but there was basically no magic. Calista uses her powers occasionally and there is mention of other creatures, but the fae were not anything like how I prefer to imagine them, instead they were white trash. They dialogue between them includes discussions of picking up chicks, getting laid, and more annoying things I don't even want to hear in real life, let alone read about in a book.
2. This book is not a romance. In some places it is erotica, particularly in the sorcerer's graphic descriptions of how he is going to rape Calista. If that's not disturbing enough, the "love" between Ryder and Calista is a classic "insta-love" with no development or foundation. They see each other from across the room and that's it, they're in love, although it was really more like in lust. It was especially disappointing since the author clearly put a lot of thought into Calista's character and in making her a strong female protagonist so I would hope that a character like her would have some choice and reasoning in whom she falls in love with. And because Ryder was a jerk. He attacks Merrick for no reason, gets insanely jealous for no reason, and acts like a tool for most of the book.
3. Not only was the author's writing juvenile, but she also told the story in first person point of view from alternating view points. This might have worked had it been nicely done, but it was not. There was major and unnecessary repetition of scenes from the different character's points of views, which is just plain annoying.
There's probably much more about this book that bothered me, but these were the highlights. I will not be recommending this book for anyone except to recommend they don't read it. I can only think the people that loved this book have never read anything else- and to them I say, please go visit your local library, if you thought this was a good book you'll be amazed by what you find there.

Princess Calista is the oldest daughter of the Summer Court. On her 21st birthday she will get a guardian. They will be bound together by blood, never to be separated, able to hear each others thoughts, he will be destined to do anything necessary to protect her from harm. Her guardian is Merrick, who also is one of her closest friends, unfortunately he is in love with Calista and she isn't in love with him. At the ceremony to present her to the courts and her people she sees Prince Ryder of the Winter Court and there is an instant connection which spurs jealousy in Merrick. They have bigger things to worry about though, the last Dark Sorcerer, wants Calista for himself. He needs to prevent the prophecy of the four. The Master wants her power, the Dark Sorcerer, Alasdair, uses a magical talisman to steal the powers of other magical creatures so that he may become more and more powerful. The only thing that may save Calista is her mental connection to Merrick and a magical ring given to her by a trusted adviser. There will be a battle for Calista where she will be helped by an unlikely source and not everyone will make it out. Will the prophecy be fulfilled or will Alasdair cut it off before it has time to come to pass? This book has romance, action, great characters, humor, magic, fae,imps, dwarves,elves, brownies,sprites, nymphs, shifters, kelpie, and all manner of mythical creatures. Great and original story line that definitely leaves an opening for several more books, at least. Go get it or you are missing out on a great read.

This book was like no other faerie book I have read, my first impression was that I love the way she sets the story. She builds the characters and you are immediately drawn in. The love was perfect it was something all girls dream of and wants. People say that there was a love triangle, but in reality it was a best friend in love with someone that was made for someone else. I believe it was a necessary one because it showed the length he was willing to go to save her in the end. Reading this made me stoked for what L.P. Dover has next for us and honestly I cannot wait. It is beyond amazing to find a new author that does so amazing in setting a new world for us to join. I hate to spoil things in books but I want to say that this book took faeries to a whole other awesome it was more than what I expected and hope to read book two soon! I recommend to anyone please be aware of the 17+ age warning because this is for mature adults and people that are open minded and don’t mind awesomeness!
Calista – she was beyond what any one wants in a female lead, she was strong and was willing to do what was needed to, to get things done. She was a great character and I hope she continues to flourish.
Ryder – there is not words to describe this amazing guy! I mean wow! He was perfect in all terms and I have yet to find a perfect picture to fit his everything. He is strong, hard-headed but all around sweet and any girl would swoon over him!
Merrick – he is a sweet guy that never should have fell for Calista, he would have been better off in love with another. He deserved so much and was so courageous and sweet. I loved that about him and he was a perfect fit for any girl.

Humor, action, romance and fairys..... how could you go wrong!!! This is the story of a fae girl who finds love and fights evil in a world that lives beside our modern one. A refreshing twist on a fae story. But this is by no means a YA book. The love scenes are a bit racy, though not beyond something you’d usually find in a romance novel. The writing flowed well and the description of the fae world took me to a different place. It is beautiful and unique! I liked the fact that the author has introduced her next book, by bringing the Chosen Four to the table.
Calista, the first born princess of the summer court, is strong minded and willing to fight like a worrior. But still has a demeanor of a queen! She is giving, thoughtful, sincere and loving. She is strong and willing to do what is needed to get things done. She has amazing powers! She can control the four elements which is awesome. Calista has a destiny, one that will change the land of fae.
It's time for Calista to meet Ryder, a prince of the winter court. One of those love at first sight meetings. When a prince as wonderful as Ryder comes along....what is a girl to do? He is strong and hard-headed but is still sweet and any girl would want him as her own!
Their intensity was delightful and exciting. Their connection grants one to hope that they can find the same thing one day.
Of course the story has a awful villain. He is evil and only wants Calista for her powers and to snatch the Land of Fae!!

I love stories on the Fae, so many directions you can go. I enjoyed this take on the Fae culture, the faery courts are all here, the story itself was well written and intriguing, it did not disappoint. This story follows Calista, the Summer Court’s princess when she is to get her guardian assigned− It’s a very special ceremony. Merrick, one of her friends, has been in love with her since he can remember and he is determined to win this honor and win her heart. But the Winter Court’s Prince Ryder has arrived for the ceremony, and sparks fly between him and Calista. Is he her chosen one? But these two aren’t the only ones interested in Calista. The dark sorcerer seeks her out for his own malicious purposes and will do anything to get to her. The twists and turns were amazing and kept me on my toes for the entire story.
Calista is an awesome, tough, fierce and intelligent princess, not a weakling in any sense. I love how powerful she is and how she can one up the guys any day. I am not a fan of the damsel in distress that can’t fend for herself so this was definitely a big plus for me.
The perils she goes through for love, for life and the safety of the land of the Fae are not easy for her. Overall: I felt the magic dripping off the pages. This book had me laughing, crying and a little lusty at some points. =) My only compliant is that i felt the characters descriptions and their histories were just kind of pushed onto you in the beginning of the book. I just wished she would've given the characters a little more time to delvope. Other then that i LOVED the story and i really enjoyed the new take on fae world.
Plot: We meet Princess Calista and she is about to go to the match and watch to see her which guardian will win the right to protect her. Prince Ryder happens to be there and they instantly feel the love connection. Princess Calista's best friend Merrick wins the right to be her guardian much to Prince Ryder's dismay. All the while there is this evil sorcerer trying to steal the princess. After a love triangle fight and Princess Calista getting taken away and getting brought back things start to settle and a beautiful marriage happens. Queen Calista and King Ryder make up the new Fall Court, but our author leaves us with the sorcerer looking for the next in line.

What a novel! I don't know where to begin on this one....Once Prince Ryder laid eyes on Calista it was curtains for life as her knew it. It seemed that destiny was set to take over from their first secret meeting by the lake. There fairy tale may turn into a nightmare if a certain dark sorcerer gets his way.
This book is intended for mature readers, as there is some heavy romance scenes and some coarse language. It is an amazingly well written story. I was just going to read a couple pages to see what it was like....and yeah I finished the whole book in one story. I enjoyed the humorous banter among the characters and the mix of emotions. There is even one point in here that I was bawling like a baby, but that's a good thing. I got so emotionally vested in the characters they all seems real. For me, that is the mark of a well written story.
Editing is exceptional, no frank misspellings or grammatical errors found . The plot sends the reader racing from the beginning. It is non stop all the way to the end. I think we have a new author here who is well on her way to taking out dome of the big names!!!
This is a definite recommended read for readers 18+. It is one I will read again, probably right before book 2 comes out.

OMG! I am so awe struck by this book that I may have to go read it a second or third time. I was hooked from the title onward. I have always had a love of fairies and other mystical characters of the sort and reading Forever Fae took that love to a whole new level! L.P. Dover spun a wonderful mystical land in my head that I will see for years to come. Her attention to detail in the scenery and the characters in her book are brought to life so brilliantly.
As I was introduced to the characters in Forever Fae I immediately knew that they would find a place in my world as well as theirs. Princess Calista is an amazing fae with abilities that outshine all others. Prince Ryder, WOW! was my very first impression. He is so incredibly handsome with wits to match how could you ever want more. Then in drops this mad man of sorts the evil villain as some may say. Evil he is it oozes from his pores slowly and envelops you in such feelings of dread that you want to give into him. As you try to fight these feelings you begin to ask does good beat bad, can the bonds of love truly beat evil, Is true love all the magic one needs to destroy the evil from within? I will never tell and you must read this to find out for yourself!

Filled with with humour, suspense, romance and a lovely level of heat, Forever Fae left me feeling fulfilled and ready for for more. The books characters, Calista, Merrick and Ryder, provide fantastic relationship interactions and witty, heart felt dialogue. All of these characters were so very easy to follow and identify with, that I was never quite sure who I was cheering on.
The passionate development in this storyline effectively kept me gripped; I was so very ready for these characters to get it on! L.P Dover effectively crafted the narrative's development and transitions very smoothly. It did take me a little time to get used to the structure of the book, we get to read from a variety of different perspectives. However, as soon as I became comfortable with L.P's style, I appreciated getting to know the inner workings of the characters, including the baddies!
If you are looking for a tantalising read with a good dose of romance and magic, then Forever Fae will leave you happy and satisfied. A Fae fantastic 4 fairies!
