Znate već i sami da Irci imaju humor sličan našem i porodične vrednosti takođe približne našima... A irske autorke su se već mnogo puta pokazale kod naših čitalaca... za ljubitelje Marijane Kiz i Sesilije Ahern... :)
Lamest book ever. I don’t even really remember what happened, but I do remember the end, Girl ends up back with Boy. Oh! The reason she wants a divorce is to get remarried and for some reason, the Boy doesn’t want to grant her one. So by the time it all drags out, the Dude she wants to marry, has given up and the Girl remembers the reason why she fell in love with the Boy in the first place. It’s all miscommunication, which is a common problem in shitbooks like this and I think is sending a wrong message to the women of the world. Don’t listen to this crap! Talk is good! If your boy doesn’t talk, there is nothing wrong with you! Drop him and move on! Don’t waste your time! He is NEVER going to change! But it’s lame stories like this that make the women of the world think the men are going to change. Give it up. They ain’t. Move on.
Concept is good - we meet the heroine when she's seeking a divorce so that she can re marry. Things then become very transparent and it's easy to predict the end. I carried on reading, as I've loved other books by Clare for their humour - she can be laugh out loud funny. sadly not in this book! There's a few good gags, but not enough to support the poor plot. It was ok but I cant say i wasn't relieved to get to the end!
Jackie had bailed on Henry 18 months ago leaving just a note that said "Good-bye". Of course, there was a misunderstanding on her part. But Jackie didn't ask what was going on to clear it up and Henry didn't contact her to find out why she left. Dumb dumb dumb.
I found the story dragged on and on and on and on. There were other weird storylines thrown in as if the author was trying to make the family quirky. Jackie and Henry were actually quite boring and I didn't find any of the other characters likeable ... not even the dog.
Jackie Ball is a Florist she has a hunky boyfriend Dan on there 6 month Anniversary he asks her to marry him, she is shocked but accepts. Dan wants to set a date, however Jackie has one small problem, she is still married to Henry even although they have been separated for 18 months. However will Henry give her a divorce? This book was quite good to begin with but I was bored with It at times.
As I remembered, bit predicatble but quite funny, perfect for a light hearted beach read or a filler between two meatier books. Off it goes to swap list.
it's a bit predictable and a little frustrating that Jackie couldn't have just stopped for 3 seconds to have a conversation with her HUSBAND and save herself 18 months of hassle. but it was still kind of cute and funny and has a British sense of humour that I kinda like. it's just fun to read if you don't take it that seriously lol

Amazing stuff i tell you,I love the drama,Mrs Ball :) all characters.unfortunately it got stolen, I was still by the part where Henry quit his job and was taking the bus. I am really heartbroken though Id love to know how it ended. Clare Dowling is such a good writer!
This book's premise is great and I love the trope of two lovers reuniting. However, this book was sort of out there. It wasn't about just Jackie and Henry, but also about Dan, Michelle, Emma, and Lech. It was nice to have them in there as well, but it got to be a bit much. It was also never really clear as to why Jackie left Henry and . I have heard good things about Clare Dowling so I'll read another book or two. I hope I'll like those better.
This book was about a woman who after being proposed to by her live in lover decided that she better get divorced from her first husband. It was clearly meant to be funny - but it didn't get me on the funny bone. The characters were not believable, and I just got fed up with them really fast. I could predict the end after the first few pages, so I checked that I was right, dipped into the book a bit to see generally what happened, and was happy to not read any more.
After reading books full of symbolism and allegories, this was a nice light read.
Boy proposes to girl, girl reveals she's married, starts her divorce, soon to be ex-husband isn't going to play nice in the divorce and wants to know why she left. Cute story about misunderstandings and little side romances for everyone.
Definite good beach read...too bad it's the dead of the winter here.
I Knew this book looked sorta familiar until i began reading and realised, i already have and finished it even. I guess that goes to say, it was an Okay book. clearly not very memorable but okay nonetheless
