Usually when I start a story like this as I read I try to figure out who did it and how. This was an amazing book but I just could not figure out how it would end and the ending was truly awesome.
Mary Jane has recently buried her parents and her sister had disappeared before Christmas. It's been over 11 months and now Mary Jane finds out that her sister's remains were found. This gets her thinking that she is truly alone in this world.
She wants to find out how her sister died and why so she goes to the Colby Agency and asks them to help her find out what happened to her sister.
She gets Shane Allen who used to be a former US Marshall to help her solve this mystery.

After reading this book, I thought I might like to read the entire series until I realized there were over 50 titles and my library system has only one of them. This one was written in about 2007 and is your typical Harlequin suspense. The ending took a little while for me to accept because it seemed a little far-fetched, but all in all this was an enjoyable easy read. This book, however, will be donated back to the Friends.
