Good as a reference, I suppose, but very difficult to read straight through. Don't let David Kennedy's well-written introduction fool you: once the intro is over, it's straight to monotonous, textbook-style writing - this happened, then this happened, then this happened, then this happened, then this happened....
Lots of detail on World War II. Lots more covered than you ever learned in school. Read it if you can put in the time to concentrate. I love this stuff so it was very interesting for me.
