The journey of three brothers to inherit their father's millions was amazing. I loved the transformation of the three kids who had a lavish lifestyle because of their father's money into hardworking, smart and responsible person. It came with lot of twist and turns. Overall its a very good reading for me since I am more interested in financial markets.
Harry Bingham brought his vast experience in the field of investment banking in this book and i really enjoyed rating. Overall i am rating it 3.5/5. I am looking forward to read more of his books
Read this on holiday, liked the story of a wealthy father setting a challenge for his adult childern when he died to determine who best should inherit his fortune. Thus, setting off a mad scramble of double crossing etc. Good story & would recommend strongly.
This book captures you right from the beginning and does not let go. The antics of George, Zack, Matthew and Josephine are well intertwined. I found it hard to put down. One criticism may be that the characters are a little black and white - but I am OK with that.
Thought I wouldn't be able to get into this book - stock markets, business deals -however, the characters swept me in and I had a hard time putting it down. A father dies and his millions are held in trust while his children have to prove themselves worthy of inheriting. Way to go Harry!
It made me nostalgic. The story is good. It made me remember first time I started reading fiction. This book is more Jeffery Archer than Jeffery Archer himself. Made me buy few more books of Harry Bingham.
What an original story... but... whilst the characters were terrific, I literally had to scan through the endless passages droning on about the ins and outs of money markets and trading. Clearly, some readers were captivated!
I found it an enjoyable read, I think that Matthew should have been punished in some form for his actions and not live happily ever after but he did learn a lesson. Zach was not a good man but did pay for is indiscretions so karma worked there. George came into his own and that made me happy. Loved that Josephine learned many skills some legal some not but always looking out for someone else not herself. Also loved the Hungarian boyfriend as my in laws are Hungarian the first words I learned were exactly the ones in the book made me smile.
I've managed to acquire a book of prison reading group recommendations. There is an extract/chapter from each book. This is the first and it has picqued my interest sufficiently for me to give it a go. Watch this space
Maybe if that very last page hadn't have been added I would have given this five stars, because it really was a fantastic read. That last bit is easily forgettable and in no way spoils the main plot/story though, so I really would recommend it.
