Based on the DJANGO UNCHAINED screenplay by Quentin Tarantino, you can tell Tarantino was a comic head just based on how the scenes unfold. Vivid art and illustration bring the story home in a new way.

Well, this is as good as the movie.

Note: I might have a bit overrated it because Django is my favorite movie. :)

The characters in this novel are Django Freeman, Dr. King Schultz, Broomhilda Van Shaft, and Calvin Candie. The setting of this novel takes place in Greenville, Mississippi. The conflict in here is Django and Dr. King Schultz are bounty hunters but want to go and look for Djangos wife Broomhilda who was traded seperatly from Django in the slave auctions. Broomhilda is a slave in Calvin Candies Plantation. The conflict gets solved that Dr. King Schultz pay 12,000 so they can buy Broomhilda out of slavery. As everything is going down Dr. King Schultz shoots Calvin but during that Dr. King Schultz get shot and killed also. After all that happens a shoot out happens between the workers of the plantation and Django. Django surrenders at the end because they threaten to kill Broomhilda. Django soon is sent to Mining company. Django tricks the workers and kills they and goes back for Broomhilda. As Django is leaving he places dynamite in the Plantation and explodes it, Then Broomhilda and Django goes riding off. I reccomend this book because it has a lot of action, its suspenseful, and its my favorite movie/book.

I haven't seen the movie and want to now after reading this first book. It sets up to be an awesome series. This book has plenty of action, plot, and character development to give you an idea of who these people are and where the story is headed. This is certain to be a good one.

great art, a couple of added scenes or speeches but ultimately the true MASTERPIECE of django unchained is truly in the film directing of Tarantino so this is kind of a down grade of the original. but the story is so great that its still great to relive it in a different light.

Better than I expected. Solid art, solid interpretation of the screenplay. If you liked the movie, this will enrich the characters and give background to some of the later scenes.

When I read this, I hadn’t seen the movie, but the hype got me interested. I wanted to see how the graphic novel would play out.
