I thought I wouldn't have time to read Origins (The Infusion Series) by Steven Tandberg until I received the actual softcover book after the holiday season. I was so wrong! Once I had access to the Kindle Edition I couldn't stop reading the book until I was done! I was so engrossed in the plot and kept on trying to figure out what was going to happen next. There is mystery, romance, fast paced action, a little of something for any reader. I also like that Tandberg has taken the time to explain different parts of the book so that someone who does not have a medical background can understand what is going on too. If you are a fan of the Michael Vey books, you would probably like this series as well, so check it out! I can't wait for the second book to come out, I will definitely be purchasing it.

I received this book from the author for an honest review .

First of all , I have to say, that YA stories are not the typical books I pick. For some reason I never got into them , trying out a few, but than decided after a while to drop them at all.

With Steven Tandbergs book " Origins" I wanted to give this genre another try ....and I am glad that I did.

I don't want to recap the story line as it would take out several interesting twists and turns . I want to keep the readers mind open, as was mine and be surprised.

The book started out a little bit too slow for me and this was the only time during this entire read, where I had to press on. I am glad I did. When you pass this initial part , the books open up and slowly but surely pulls you in. The main character develops to a strong hero, who has to deal with situations he never could expect. He tries to deal with them in his best capabilities , trying to stay true to himself while dealing with changes within him . The pace picks up at this point and the slow moments from the beginning are gone.

Action, mystery even a bit romance are starting to form the story and the entire plot begs to be read for a conclusion.

The author ends this book with a major cliffhanger, knowing very well that the reader does want to know what is going to happen with the little band of heroes . It was a good read , a surprising read and most of all a entertaining read.

I do not know, if I will add YA books to my constantly increasing cluster of " to read books " again, but I know, I will add Steven Tandberg - Infusion Series - to it. Thank you for a good book and I am looking forward to the conclusion.

I can recommend this book this book for Youth and adults.

4.5 stars. Exciting and interesting read. My interest was especially peaked because the main character, Coyle, has ALL which is the same disease my husband had when he was in high school. Definitely some tough decisions through the course of the book. I really enjoyed reading a book with not only mystery and romance but also some science/medicine. Highly recommend. Looking forward to the next one!

I can be picky when it comes to books. If it doesn't grab my attention quickly, I usually pass it up. Origins was a great book that kept me reading and interested to the point I could barely put it down! A great read and the next big young adult trilogy hit!! Can't wait to read the next book in the series!

I haven't wanted to read a book for leisure since I finished school a few years back (working full time while completing your academic goals will do that to you.) But while on quarantine, I decided to get my nose back into a good book. I read the reviews on this one and grabbed the paperback version. I love it so far! Every time I sit down with it, it's hard to put it down. I constantly find myself wondering what will happen next.
I would recommend this book to anyone who wants a captivating read that isn't hard to get into.

My husband and I both read this book. After the first few chapters it really grabs your interest and makes you want to know what will happen next! That said, the first chapters were difficult and you could tell that it was a first time author writing. However, it is a unique story with very creative ideas. Look forward to reading book 2.

It has a good story but just feels a bit "rough" to read (aka it doesn't flow as smoothly as it should). Also seems to be geared more toward males than females. I'll probably still read the next book, but I'm not chomping at the bit for it to come or anything.

Overall not a bad book. The idea is superb, in my opinion, as I love science-fiction keep-you-guessing books. This is Tandberg's first novel (I believe), and I'd say he's off to a great start. I look forward to finding out how the story progresses.

I enjoyed reading this book. It kept me captivated and I am anticipating the next installment. A good book for a first time young adult fiction writer. Character development is good and it was easy to connect with them. It is rare to find a book these days that is "clean" with no vulgarity.

A decent story, but seems the author doesn't quite have his 'writing legs' yet... choppy and awkward dialog distracts from the tale. There is a surprising twist that hooked me enough to continue the series.

Wow! Exciting & intriguing all the way through! Can't wait for the next one! Similar in writing technique & theme as in Michael Vey. Corban's going to love it too!

Origins was fun, exciting, and entertaining! It grabbed my attention from the beginning and still has it even after finishing the book several weeks ago! I can hardly wait for #2!

Very creative

Good read. Really enjoyed it! Although, it may be closer to reality than we really want to acknowledge. I look forward to following Coyle's adventure.

If I was 16, a boy, and highly into sci-fi, I might have enjoyed this. But since I am none of these things..... it was so dumb!
