A serious, technical "how to" book on stage design. I image much of the material is dated from this 1974 publication, but it was certainly detailed and informative for it's time. I'm selling the book off. I'm not sure who will be buying something this dated.

Very useful reference book- includes tools, part breakdowns of lighting instruments (including my personal nemesis, the Ellipsoidal Reflector Spotlight), color theory, and basic stage/set construction. Some of the technical issues may be considered out-of-date in professional circles, but if you're in a theatre that still uses older instruments, this book is as valuable as the day you had to buy it for your set design class.

This was my text book for a Technical Theater class. It is full of a lot of helpful information about theater productions and the amazing amount of time, effort and creativity that goes into one production.

Incredible useful reference book, but perhaps not accessible enough for beginners or those without a professional interest. Comprehensive cover of the technical aspects of theatre design.
