Growing up in the cold, wet, north of England, Nina Croft spent a lot of time dreaming of faraway sunnier places and ponies. When she discovered both, along with a whole load of other things, could be found between the covers of a book, her life changed forever.

Later, she headed south, picked up the perfect husband along the way, and together they volunteered to work in Africa. There they discovered a love of exotic places and a dislike of 9-5 work. Afterward they spent a number of years travelling (whenever possible) intermingled with working (whenever necessary.) Eventually they stumbled upon a remote area in the mountains of southern Spain and the small almond farm they now call home.

Nina spends her days reading, writing and riding her mare, Gencianna, under the blue Spanish skies—sunshine and ponies. She reckons this is proof that dreams really can come true if you want them enough.

Nina's writing mixes romance with elements of the paranormal and science fiction

A fun Paranormal Romance with a bit of suspense?

“Did you know vampires find werewolf blood irresistible?” he whispered in her ear.
Her muscles locked, and then she pulled free of his grasp and whirled around to face him. “I am not a werewolf.” She enunciated each word clearly.
He studied her closely. He wasn’t wrong. “Yes, you are.”
“No, I’m not.”
The main character, Tasha was attacked at the age of 13 by a Werewolf and immediately captured by “The Agency” and thrown into a facility for testing. For eight years she survived the torture and testing… Her hope of escape has dwindled into nothingness…

Jack is a Vampire who went undercover and allowed himself to be captured by The Facility so that he could gather recon on the organization he was helping to take down. While in their custody, his handlers offered up Tasha for a meal… and his whole plan changed.

Now Jack will work to save the lovely young Werewolf despite the dangers surrounding them both… Not only The Agency, but also the fact that Vampires & Werewolves are enemies on the outside. If they escape, what then?
But he also needed information. After all, that was the point in his being here. He’d thought to coerce it out of the guards, but his first attempt had ended up with the man having some sort of aneurism and ending up bleeding from the ears. Then dead. Very inconvenient.

3.5⭐️ This was my first “fantasy” book with vampires and werewolves and it was okay. It wasn’t a bad book but it was just really short and very fast paced. The plot wasn’t bad and it had some good spice but I wouldn’t read it again.🩸

Very good

I would recommend this to anyone who likes paranormal romance books. This was a nicely written, addictive e-book, that held me enthralled. It has vampires, and werewolf in it with mystery, and an unusual couple. It's like your right there in the story with the caricatures.

short, intriguing and spicy

Liked the quick read. Cool to see Tasha so through so many arcs in a short span. Jack was awesome and the perfect balance to her. Good story.

Series: Sisters of the Moon #1
Review:

"Bound to Night" by Nina Croft was the first in the series: 'Sisters of the Moon.' I found this novel to be as usual one of Ms Croft reads that keeps you on the edge of your seat wondering what is coming next. This was a short read but a well written ship of a relations that formed between a vampire and werewolf. Even though this started out as a friendship it becomes so much more.

We find that this young girl, Tasha Grant who was 'telepathic' was attacked by a werewolves at thirteen year old and has lived at 'the Facility" for the past eight years in horrible conditions. Over the years had been forced to turn into one, however, this would not happen...not even during the full moon. A vampire named Jack who was also being held at the 'Facility' was Tasha's only friend and would feed on her at night. Tasha even asks Jack how to turn but he refuses to tell her 'how tor turn, fearful that the men will force the truth out of her with the truth serum.' So, Jack with some assistance from the outside escapes and takes Tasha with him and then this story really gets interesting and this is where I you must pick up this good read of "Bound to Night" to find out what Ms. Croft has in store for the reader. How is this to work with vampires and werewolves are enemies? What all does her father have to do with her being attacked in the first place? From the read you will learn more about Tasha 'special abilities, the circumstances of her birth and most of all her fathers secrets.

If you are looking for a quick fast paced read with even some paranormal sex romance you have come to the right place for Ms. Croft's "Bound to Night" would be a good read that I would recommend to you.

Bound to Night by Nina Croft

I really liked this story and this series. First time author for me but not last time that’s for sure. It was well written and the pages just flew by quickly so it was a good thing I had the other two in the series lined up.

Favorite line:

“Take off your clothes,” he ordered and her skin quivered with anticipation.
“Ooh, I love it when you go all masterful on me.”

After a werewolf attack, Tasha wakes up as a prisoner in a facility run by unknown men doing research on paranormal captives. Tasha is a telepath and has been held captive there for eight years. She has no idea what has happened to her parents and has pretty much given up on getting out and having a normal life outside. But her world is shaken up when the facility's latest prisoner Jack is thrown into a cell with her, so that he may feed on her.

Jack is a vampire and his imprisonment at the facility is not all as it seems. Jack is there undercover to take down the agency who run the facility from the inside and even though there is a real friendship and strong emotion building between the two, he has to do his job. But when Tasha's life is on the line he puts her first. Together they have to figure out who runs the facility, how Tasha ended up in there and also what she is. She just wants to get out and have a normal life but the attack on her may have changed her into a werewolf the sworn enemies of vampires. Although she wants Jack, she isn't even sure what she is now, so how can she hope to be with a vampire.

This was another surprisingly good find. Again not what I expected and I enjoyed it very much. I love all types of opposites attracts stories and this one threw in a lot more obstacles for Tasha and Jack to manoeuvre. Tasha is a gutsy character you can't help but like and has some great lines showing that even though she is a prisoner she is not weak I liked Jack too, he was a good guy trying to follow the rules, knowing if he did follow them he wouldn't get what he wanted. Thankfully there was heat between Tasha and Jack but even so the sex scenes weren't as scorching as I was expecting.

I did enjoy it however, this falls victim to my complaint of many books in this month's reviews. It was too short. It finished when there was still so much of their story to be told. I read the sneak peek at the end of the book hoping for a bit more but it seems we move straight on to Sebastian's story. I liked Sebastian the Alpha werewolf and I would like to read his story but I just wasn't finished with this one yet.

A good short read that should have been longer. I read it so fast in the bath I didn't even have time to turn pruney so for that reason I give it 7 out of 10

I read this book as part of a box set. My only complaint is that it is too short.
Tasha has been a prisoner ever since she was thirteen. Right before her capture, she was bitten by a werewolf and now the scientists keep trying to get her to turn on the full moon. She is a telepath and they bring her to another cell to see if she can read the inhabitant. The man in the cell is a vampire and she can't read him so they leave her with him so he can feed off her.

Jack purposely got himself captured by the group called The Agency so that he can try to get some information on exactly who is leading and funding them. When they bring a woman to his cell that has been a prisoner there for eight years, he befriends her. He won't tell her why she can't turn into a wolf on the full moon since it is safer for her not to know. When he hears her screaming and knows they are torturing her to try to get her to turn, he decides it is time to escape and take her to his werewolf ally.

Arrrrggg!!! TikTok got me again!!! This came up as an advertisement thread on my TikTok, and the blurb about the book sounded right up my alley! Werewolf and Vampire in a prison, and the Werewolf needs to feed the Vampire! Game on, I thought!!! Without any further research, I jumped right into what I thought was going to be an amazing read, tickling my Werewolf fetish!

FML! How wrong I was! The writing was glitchy, the flow of the story was poor, and when I got to the insta-love around page 61-ish, I was ready to throw it into the DNF pile. Then I realized this book only has a total of 76 pages. In my defense, I downloaded this on my Kindle (and even paid for it!), so I never saw that it was not an actual book? (PS: I do not classify anything with so few pages as a book!)

Sad to say, this was not good! If this pops up on your TikTok/BookTok or anywhere else, just move along! Definitely not worth reading!!!

I downloaded Bound to Night as a free serial novella (about 90pgs) from Amazon. A very interesting story line and great characters. What I liked best was the fun dialogue. Plenty of surprises to hold a reader's interest. While I would be interested in further books, I don't care for serialized installments of a book. My preference, as I would recommend the serial for those who don't mind the cost.

I was looking for a quick palette cleanser, and that’s basically all Bound to Night ended up being. This short paranormal romance lacks character development, and the plot feels extremely rushed. The writing was rough, and the flow of the story didn’t pull me in. When the insta-love hit halfway through, I was ready to DNF it—until I realized it was only 100 pages long. If you’re after a super quick read with a bit of romance, it might work, but it didn’t have the depth I was hoping for.

Disappointing. The relationship between Tasha & the vampire was ok. Definitely rushed & bit much but then she meets the head wolf & he’s kind of a perv. Let me have sec with you & you can stay with your new family. Cause he just tries out all the new girls. Totally gave me the creeps. What a weird twist of the turning to a wolf thing. Have to have sex. So I’m glad they didn’t rape her at 13. Yeah more I think about the ickier it gets

Bound to Night by Nina Croft is an exciting, fast moving book with some interesting twists and turns and unanticipated events. The characters are strong and well developed and grew as the story progressed. The story has a very satisfying conclusion. I am looking forward reading the next book in the "Sister of the Moon" series.
I highly recommend Bound to Night by Nina Croft.

A good read

This was a decent read…
Loved the storyline and look forward to following up with the series…
The characters are great and the physical connections made hot but not too spicy…
My only complaint is it was too short….. seemed like I just started reading then I was finished 🙁
But overall a really good book…

Decent for something so short

I liked the connection between Jack and Tasha, the feeling of a 'fateful' meeting. Unsure if this is standalone with these characters or if this is part of a continued series. If it is, I'm interested to see if there is going to be anything between her and Sebastian. The attraction is certainly there and I'd like to see the world fleshed out more.

Constant swapping of POV

This book could be great, it has an interesting story line. But it is so fast paced, nothing gets a lot of detail and skips bits that should go into more detail. The POV changes within the same sentence or paragraph. I found it hard to get into and unable to finish it.

A quick read for sure, but just not for me. I saw a TikTok that made this seem like more than it was. I think the idea was there and solid but the execution just was off. Everything felt so predictable and rushed. This story could have been so much better if it were longer and there was some character development.

Fun Intro

Fun intro to the series. I like the introduction to certain characters that I’m sure are going to pop up sometime in other books. To me, this is a cute storyline. Don’t get me wrong, there are dark/ugly aspects throughout the story, but I still think it’s sweet and cute.

I read this because I needed a very specific type of book for a reading challenge. I was hoping with it being such a short story it would have been better. There was really no plot at the beginning…just a rush to get main characters into bed. But now that I’ve finished and the plot finally showed up, I’m curious to know where the story goes.

(Explícito). Bonito, interesante, no creí que fuera una historia tan cortita. Se lee en un par de horas, bien para una lectura ligera. No se profundiza mucho en la historia. Narrado en tercera persona y ofrece los puntos de vista de los protagonista. ...

Novella

Short. It’s a novella that moves along at a quick pace. Character development is off page. It is an intriguing read that sort of squanders itself by not fleshing out more details. Don’t get me wrong, I enjoyed it for the most part but I was left wanting more.

I liked it, but also, didn’t.

I paid $0.99 for a 76ish page book. Not worth it in my opinion. That being said, I do like where the story is headed, I just wish it was in first person.

Bound to Night

It was a very enjoyable read. A short story, but had all that you would expect from a more longer book. Loved the male and female leads. It had spice, angst, intrigued and HEA. So I definitely recommend this book.

*Bound to the Night* by Nina Croft was a fantastic read that I devoured in one sitting! The story pulls you in with its unique premise of vampires and unknowing werewolves forming an unlikely alliance in a research lab. The characters are compelling, the chemistry is intense, and the banter is top-notch—filled with just the right amount of spice. The plot is packed with action and twists that kept me hooked until the very end. Highly recommended!

I liked Tasha and Jack but the book felt rushed and ended rather abruptly. Due to how short it was there was little to no character progression and the plot was incredibly thin. I feel there was so much more that could have been done with the story, a book you would forget easily.

Short

Short and sweet but definitely has potential to be a really good read! Things progressed rather fast, and I think could have benefitted from being drawn out and explained further

This gave an episode of Buffy energy. Short novella fast paced interesting storyline. Conspiracies, evil facility for the paranormal, vampires, werewolves. Obviously don't expect too much for the length of it. Interested in the rest of the series to see how storyline ends

This read like a high school writing class

While not bad, it was far from great. While short, the world building had depth. The overall plot was a tad, meh, but the thing that made me give this 3 star was the weak dialog it felt odd a bit forced. Overall, I enjoyed the story.
