These "All Aboard Science Reader" books are wonderful to introduce Science to a young reader! This one is about the various turtles and how they live, how they have their babies and which ones can be used as a pet etc. My special needs teenage son loved looking at the illustrations as I read to him.

Beautiful illustrations add grace to this nonfiction text about sea turtles. I learned about Loggerheads, Leatherbacks, Green turtles, Snapping turtles and many more. The book explains what turtles eat, where they live, and what happens when they are born.

A little over my almost 3 year old's head but he enjoyed seeing the huge illustrations of "real ninja turtles." This was a great prelude to a visit to the turtles at the park.
