Summary
During the harvest festival hunt, Libera’s horse is spooked into a frenzy and Libera becomes lost in the Forest. Meanwhile Rieno cant stop himself from seeing Yuna and appears to be mysteriously enamored by her. But Ehren refuses to lose Yuna to Rieno and cannot allow winter to befall Phantasma as heir to chancellor. And so Ehren devises a plan to keep Rieno and Yuna apart.

Review
Excuse me, but just what the hell happened in this novel? Ugh. To start with, Libera uses her royal bloodline as an ploy to get Ehren to fall for her instead of Yuna because she has always been jealous of Ehren and Yuna’s relationship. Such a manipulative bitch. And then of course she steals the plot and everyone is all worried about Libera who has gone missing in the forest, but forgets the queen who has been working so hard to please the people of Phantasma and do right by them.

Even worse! Once Ehren realizes that Yuna’s growth is because of Rieno and not because of him, he becomes a instant jerk! In the previous novel, he was all over Yuna at his friends wedding, and it even appeared that Yuna was falling in love with him! Then all of a sudden, Ehren becomes cold hearted, all business, and turns into a robot with no emotions.

I understand that he is only trying to protect Phantasma from falling into darkness, but why can’t he do both?! Why can’t he play the role of Chancellor and advisor to Yuna and be sweet to her. If Ehren has any chance at all of Yuna falling in love with him, it was all over the minute he gave up on her heart! He should have fought for her! But in the end his pride as an Ehren Hwerursute and his quest to berid Phantasma’s of its curse, has clouded his judgement to do what’s best for both Yuna and Phantasma.
