Priorities: Mastering Time Management

Rate this book
Do you wish for more hours in the day? A shorter to-do list? Control in the midst of chaos? With insight and clarity, James C. Petty helps bring focus into frazzled lives. Using the "Assessing My Priorities" worksheet, he walks us through the process of organizing time under the categories of God, the people of God, and God’s work in the world. With sound biblical advice and practical application, this booklet demonstrates ways in which we can reduce unnecessary stress, identify true priorities, and begin to get our overbooked schedules under control.

A very short book... less than 50 pages. It focuses on how to prioritize and make room for all the "shoulds" and "musts" you have in your life. Especially focused on the spiritual side. It emphasizes putting God and Jesus first and at the center of your life.

Simple and practical booklet for those, like me, who struggle with time management. Started with a brief biblical basis and worked through a practical example and provide a worksheet. Cheap and helpful booklet.

Excellent read! So much helpful (and sobering) information in such a small booklet! I can’t wait to try and build my own AMP (Assessing My Priorities) worksheet to see where I’m stretching myself too thin. I definitely plan to loan this book out and recommend to others who may benefit from its insight.

(Referring to Ephesians 5: 18-6:18)
"Paul wants us to fulfill our first priorities in every area of life before we fulfill lesser priorities in any area." (p. 6)

"Sometimes we need help in letting go of less important activities. Often we are getting something unhealthy out of the activity and need help breaking the hold of some idols on our heart." (p.12)

A great little pamphlet/tract centered around key biblical insights (Eph 5:15-6:18 especially) about prioritization and the Assessing My Priorities (AMP) worksheet.
