Just a near perfect little nostalgic golden book for this brisk time of year, just trying to settle into the holiday spirit. Really seeing and following the puppies as they make snowpups and even go as far as charcoal spot them for Christmas gifts is just the cutest little idea and just as innocent as well.
The 101 Dalmatians franchise is one of my favorites of the Disney franchises, and this story is a cute addition. The puppies are trying to figure out a good gift they can give their owners at Christmas time and come up with snow puppies! The best part? The Dalmatian spots are made by their coal-blackened paw prints.
The concept was sweet but it wasn't written as well as other kids books I've read. Very minimal plot even for a kids books. Saying that it was super cute and fun and I could see a child really enjoying it. Also, puppies always get bonus points.
They really did create a Dalmatian Plantation after the original movie! This is a very cute Christmas story about the Dalmatians wanting to give back to their owners for the holidays.
I cannot rate this as anything below five stars because it is essential to the nostalgia of my childhood. I loved reading this as a kid, and I still reread it around Christmas. It's just so adorable!
I am not a fan of movie stories that are turn into books because they are flawed and does not stick very well to the story. My daughter is on a 101 Dalmatian kick so I thought this would be cute an in a way it was but there were a few things that stood out for me. On the first page it said the 101 Dalmatian puppies there was only 99 with Pongo and Perdita the adults making it 101 Dalmatians. Then I realized that they had chosen only a few puppies to represent all the puppies. Of course they only chose ones that were from the original 15 puppies and of course only the ones that had been given names. So like the film favoritism is really a big part of this story and if you want more Dalmatian puppy then stick to the original story.
I enjoyed this book as a kid and it was still enjoyable as an adult. This is an original story set after the first movie.
It's a fun, sweet story, and the artwork looks fairly close to the movie while still having its own charm.
The only real negative is that it implies all ninety-nine puppies helped with the gift, but the drawings only ever show a few puppies. I get not drawing them all on every page, but I do wish more had been put into the background.
Not much else to say, other than it's sweet and fun. Also, as a Lucky fan, I love stories featuring my favorite puppy.
101 Dalmatians is great but I don't enjoy it as much as the other Disney movies but this book was amazing. It was very cute and creative. Children will love this book even if they've never seen 101 Dalmatians or if they didn't enjoy the movie as much as some of the others. This book was great and I would recommend it to many Disney fans and definitely to fans of 101 Dalmatians.
Look, that plot of this Dalmatians Christmas book is pure nonsense. But it's cute. And at least it's an original story rather than another rehashing of the movie. My son liked it.
Great cute story for kids and those who have a special place in their hearts for the 101 Dalmatians. This book is great to add to your Christmas book collection. It's about the puppies first Christmas at the Dalmatian Plantation and the special gift they make for their humans.
