About the author

Justine Korman is the author of over 600 children's books, including mega-selling adaptations of Disney hits like THE LION KING, plus her original popular GRUMPY BUNNY series for Scholastic.

Justine has been writing all her life. She worked part-time in publishing while earning her B.A. in English Literature, Phi Beta Kappa from New York University. While an editorial assistant at Golden Books, she met her future husband and partner, Ron Fontes, an artist in the Whitman Comics department, who moved on to mighty Marvel Comics.

When Justine started getting freelance writing assignments, Ron pitched in and a children's book writing team was born! Ron brought visual storytelling, theatre, and history; Justine enthusiasm, humor, and a straight-A attitude.

In 1988, the couple moved to Maine, where they have written everything from beginning readers and novelty books to historical fiction and graphic novels.
Justine's hobbies include fitness, juggling, gardening, cooking, and playing the ukulele. She also enjoys making movies with Ron.

The prolific couple's goal is to write 1001 children's books.

Disney's Hunchback of Notre Dame is the story of Quasimodo the bell towers ringer of the bells..he was adopted by Judge Frollo after his mother leaves him outside of Notre Dame Cathedral..Frollo dislikes everyone especially the gypsies so on The Feast of Fools day when Quasimodo comes down from the Cathedral for it he is chsen as the King of the Feast of Fools by Esmeralda...Quasi looks to Frollo for help but he refuses since he disobeyed him in the first place..later Judge Frollo wants Esmeralda arrested by his new Captain of the Guard Phoebus but Esmeralda goes into the Cathedral and he tells her to ask for sanctuary where she can't be arrested etc etc..u just have to read the story to find out what else happens to Quasimodo,Esmeralda, Phoebus and the rest of the crew inculding 3 gargoyles

This is the classic movie in a book. I actually like it, but it was never one of my kids favorite. They always got sad and had a hard tome understanding the cruelty. I think it is better for older children. There are definitely good lessons to be learned.

A nice book. Not outstanding, but not bad. It's a retelling of Hunchback in book form with new artworks to feature it. For that, it's decent, but the art is not outstanding.
