"Teeny Tiny and the Witch Woman" is an ancient folktale about how a small boy named Teeny Tiny and his older brothers encounter a frightening looking witch woman in the forest and how they try to escape from the clutches of the witch woman.

This book is awesome, especially of the images of the witch woman, which she is shown to be extremely scary looking. Small children might be scared by this book, especially of the witch woman who wants to eat the three boys, but this book is perfect for anyone who love creepy stories about witches.

I think my gran used to read this book to me when I was little. It may have fueled some pretty nasty nightmares I had about witches chasing me all over the place.

My first real introduction to horror. We would also borrow the tape from the library which featured the same art in the book, but with super creepy voice performances as well. This fueled my nightmares for a few years, but it is such a classic folktale. It stuck with me for so long due to its visceral plotting and excellent art. I can say the same for Scary Stories to Tell in the dark and Stephen Gammell's art in that book series.

This folk tale is very similar to Hansel and Gretel. This would be perfect to read to students in second and third grade around Halloween and/or when they are learning about folk tales in general. The drawings are also very scary.

The audiobook narrator had such a creepy voice I'm not sure my son and I followed the story with all his shrieking. Good fun in any case.

This is a fun folktale, told by a 94 Turkish grandma, who learned it from her great-grandma. The illustrations really make it--they're full of little almost-hidden details.

Showed the book DVD of this today to one of my second grades...kinda scarey, but they picked out the six characteristics of a fairytale with no problem!
